The quality control method and standard were established to control the quality of Pteris multifida in this paper. The tests of water content, total ash, acid-unsoluble ash and ethanol-soluble extractives of P. multifida were carried out according to the methods recorded in appendix of Chinese Pharmacopeia (2010 edition, volume 1) . The TLC method was established by using rhoifolin as references, and a mixture of CHCl3 -MeOH-HAc (6: 1: 1) as the developing solvent system on GF254 thin layer plate. The contents of rhoifolin was determined by HPLC on a Diamonsil C18 (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 μm) column, using acetonitrile-water (containing 0.15% formic acid) (16: 84) as mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL x min(-1). The column temperature was 30 degrees C and the detection wave-length was 350 nm. As a result, pterosin C 3-O-β-D-glucosidede and the other constituents were well separated on TLC detected under the UV light at 254 nm . The methodology validation for the assay of rhoifolin presented that it was in good linear correlation in the ranges of 0.025 5-5.1 μg with the regression equations of Y = 1 092.4X + 9.503 5 (r = 0.999 8), and the average recoveries were 100.3% (RSD 1.3%). The content range of rhoifolin from 16 different batches of Pteris multifida was 0.08-5.06 mg x g(-1). The water content, total ash, acid-unsoluble ash and ethanol-soluble extractives of 16 samples varied in the ranges of 7.35% - 12.96%, 6.90% - 16.33%, 2.07% -11.38% and 13.29% -23.87%, respectively. The suggesting limes in the quality standard for water content, total ash, acid-unsoluble ash, ethanol-soluble extractives and rhoifolin content were ≤ 12% , ≤ 15% , ≤ 8.5% , ≥ 14% and ≥ 0.040%, respectively. The result proved that the established quality of control method was specific and accurate, which can be used for the quality control of P. multifida.

Chinese Mental Health Journal 2015;(5):383-388
Objective:To explore the relationship between marital satisfaction and character strengths in young people. Methods:An online survey was delivered to 307 married people (aged 2 1 -44 with years of mar-riage 0-20). Marital satisfaction was measured with the Evaluating and Nurturing Relationship Issues,Communica-tion,and Happiness (ENRICH,including intrapersonal, interpersonal, and external factors and marital satisfaction). Character strengths were measured with Values in Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS,total 24 character strengths were classified into 4 high level character strength factors including heart-focus on self,heart-focus on oth-ers,mind-focus on self,mind-focus on others). Results:All 24 character strengths scores and 4 high level character strength factors scores were positively correlated with marital satisfaction score (r=0. 17 -0. 53,Ps<0. 01 ). Four high level character strength factors positively affected marital satisfaction through the mediation of 3 marital factors. Conclusion:The results indicate that the young people's marital satisfaction is closely related to their char-acter strengths, and character strengths affect marital satisfaction through 3 marital factors.

8. Influence of total saponins from Asparagus cochinchinensis on cerebral blood flow and vascular resistance in anesthetized dogs
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;29(4):431-434
Objective: To study the effect of total saponins on cerebral blood flow and vascular resistance in anesthetized dogs. Methods: Thirty hybrid dogs in either sex, with a body weight of (11±1.5) kg, were evenly randomized into 5 groups: negative control group(saline 5 ml/kg,ig), positive control (nimodipine 300 μg/kg, iv), and 3 groups treated with total saponins (low-dose group [1O mg/kg, ig], middle-dose group[30 mg/kg, ig], and high-dose group[60 mg/kg, ig]). The dogs were anesthetized with intravenous pentobarbital sodium (30 mg/kg). The right common carotid artery was exposed to measure the cerebral blood flow, cerebral vascular resistance, blood pressure and heart rate using the MFV-3200 electromagnetic flow meter and MPA-3000 bioelectricity signal-amplifier. Results: Compared with negative control, cerebral blood flow was significantly increased in animals treated with asparagos root saponins (30 and 60 mg/kg, ig) during 5 and 120 min after drug administration (P<0.01). No significant effect on cerebral blood flow and vascular resistance was found in animals treated with asparagus root saponins (10 mg/kg). Conclusion: Asparagus root saponins can increase cerebral blood flow in anesthetized dogs.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(09):-
Objective To determine the expression of endothelin in kidneys of rats with unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO). Methods Rats were evenly divided into two groups. Some were subjected to complete ligation of left ureter and the others with sham operation were used as control group.Four weeks later, we examined the mRNA expressions of ET-1 in kidneys of all these rats using reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method. The immunohistochemistry analysis was carried out to investigate the protein level of ET-1. The urinary concentration of ET-1 was determined by radioimmunoassay. Results In UUO group, the urinary concentration of ET-1 increased substantially;both gene expression and protein level of ET-1 were much higher than those in control group. At the same time, tubulointerstitial fibrosis was present in the kidneys of rats with UUO. Conclusion ET-1 is involved in the pathogenesis of the injury of UUO.
