OBJECTIVE:To study the stability of mixture of ciprofloxacin injection and metronidazole in glucose injection at high temperature(50℃~70℃)and at room temperature((20?1)℃)storage METHODS:UV-spectrophotometry method was used for determining the contents of ciprofloxacin and metronidazole The changes in the content,pH value and appearance were observed by classical constant-temperature experiment and room temperature storage RESULTS:The linearity ranges for ciprofloxacin and metronidazole were 1 00~10 02?g/ml and 2 01~20 08?g/ml;the average recoveries were(101 30?4 28)% and(99 58?1 63)%,respectively The heat decomposition products at 70℃ for 8 hours did not interfere with the assay The relative contents of ciprofloxacin and metronidazole were more than 95% and there were no significant changes of the pH value and the color with accelerating experiment for 8 hours at 50℃~70℃ and for 120 hours at (20?1)℃ CONCLUSION:We found that admixture of ciprofloxacin with metronidazole in glucose solution was stable at high temperature for 8 hours and at room temperature for 120 hours Ciprofloxacin injection was compatible with metronidazole in glucose injection

Objective To confirm the influence on the path of signal transduction of ERK by BaiHui-QuBin Scalp-acupuncture in rats of experimental acute intercerebral hemorrhage. Methods 192 healthy Wistar male rats were selected by examination. The rats were assigned into 4 groups randomly:matched blank group, model group,pin-prick group, excitomotor group. The latter three groups contained 60 rats in each;another 12 rats were assigned as the matched blank group. All rats were made to be the intercerebral hemorrage model. The pinprick group was acupunc-tured on the BaihuipenetratingQubin. We observed the change surrounding the hamatoma of the proteinum expression of p-ERK of each group in deferent time phase point with the method of Western blot. Results All of the rats after being made model appeared the phenomenon of the expression of p-ERK of rat's brain tissue surrounding the hematoma and increased to the peak in 7 days.1 d, 2 d, 3 d, 7 d, compare with the model group [(0.10 ±0.04),(0.17 ±0.02),(0.09 ±0.05),(0.10 ±0.06)],the expressions of p-ERK of the pinprick group [(0.19 ±0.04),(0.23 ±0.07),(0.24 ±0.05),(0.25 ±0.06),q=11.45,P<0.01] and the excitomotor group's were higher obviously[(0.19 ±0.05),(0.20 ±0.05),(0.24 ±0.06),(0.25 ±0.09),(0.26 ±0.09),q=10.07, P<0.01].The pinprick group compared with the excitomotor set,the expressions of p-ERK showed no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The therapy of BaiHui-QuBin Scalp-acupuncture can activate the path of signal transduction of ERK,increase the expression of the proteinum p-ERK and so on,which have the function of protecting the nerve cell.

The stability of the intraocular lens ( IOL ) after cataract surgery is composed of decentration, tilt, rotation, and the change of anterior chamber depth. Its stability is an important factor affecting postoperative visual quality. By analyzing the related factors which influence the stability of intraocular lens, improvements can be identified for future cataract operations. The stability of intraocular lens is influenced by many factors: intraocular structure, the size and the symmetry of intraoperative capsulorhexis, the position of the intraocular lens, the material and design of the intraocular lens, etc. In order to improve the patient's vision, cataract surgeries have been experiencing an evolution. IOL material have also been contributing to such innovations.

Microbiology 2008;0(12):-
Lysins are efficient bacteria cell wall digesting enzymes encoded by DNA bacteriophage. Gram-positive bacteriophage lysins feature similar domain structure, high lytic efficiency, synergic antibacterial effect with antibiotics, rare neutralization by antibodies, less chance of developing drug-resistant strains, et al. The past decade has seen a considerable amount of research worldwidely focused on lysin, and lysins have been used successfully in a variety of animal models to control pathogenic antibiotic resistant bacteria found on mucosal surfaces and infected tissues. The great potential of lysins as an anti-infective agent prompted this review.

Aim DPF2 has been reported to be involved in pathogenesis of leukaemia and oncogenic activity. However, the role of DPF2 in oncogenesis and pathogenesis of pancreatic cancer remains unclear. Therefore, the present research aims to investigate the effects of DPF2-RNAi on proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle regulation of a pancreatic cell line,PANC-1 cells. Methods The lentivirus-mediated DPF2-RNAi was employed to knockdown DPF2 expression in PANC-1 cells, and the role of DPF2-RNAi in proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle regulation of the PANC-1 cells was examined through MTT assay, colony formation assay and flowcytometry assay. Results The lentivirus-mediated DPF2-RNAi middle and high doses(2 μL and 4 μL)significantly decreased the expression of DPF2 in the PANC-1 cells.DPF2-RNAi decreased cell viability and colony formation, and increased apoptosis of the PANC-1 cells.Besides,DPF2-RNAi induced the S-phase arrest and decreased G2/M phase population of the PANC-1 cells. Conclusions DPF2 may play a crucial role in proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle regulation of PANC-1 cells.Knockdown of DPF2 through lentivirus-mediated DPF2-RNAi may provide experimental basis for finding a new method for therapy of pancreatic cancer.
