Objective To investigate the clinical features and prognosis of replantation of fingertips distal to the middle nail. Methods Between August 2001 and August 2005,16 fingertips amputated in the Ishikawa zoneⅠwere replanted. We anastomosed only the digital arteries, and adopted postoperative bloodletting. Results Fourteen fingertips survived, and two failed. The survival rate was 87.5%.Of the 14 successfully replanted fin- gertips,12 were followed up from 3 to 12 months. The length and appearance of the fingertips recovered and good joint motion were maintained.Their two-point discriminations ranged from 3 to 6 mm.Conclusion Fingertip replantation is an optimal treatment for fingertip amputation distal to the middle nail to regain satisfactory appearance and function of the digits with a high survival rate, but severe crush injury to the amputated part and high cost should be taken into consideration.

AIM: To investigate the possibility of 3T3 fibroblast growth on blood fibrin clot in culture medium with recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor (rhbFGF). METHOD: Growth of the cells on blood fibrin clot was studied by phase-contrast, scanning and transmission electron microscopy and by Giemsa stain and MTT assay. RESULTS: The optimal concentration of rhbFGF for proliferation and survival of the cells was 100 ng/mL. The cells also grew on blood fibrin clot scaffold in the low-serum medium containing 100 ng/mL rhbFGF, and a greater number of the cells survived after 48 hours incubation compared to that after 24 hours. The elongated filopodia appeared to bridge the gaps among the fibroblasts after 24 hours incubation. Further incubation to 72 hours, a greater number of platycytes were found to be joined together by lamellopodia. CONCLUSION: 3T3 fibroblasts could grow and survive on blood fibrin clot in the low-serum medium containing rhbFGF, and a combination of blood fibrin clot and rhbFGF may have over proportional effects on wound healing.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(06):-
Response surface analysis (uniform precision of central composite design, SAS 9.1.3 software) was applied to optimize the four major factors (ratio of soybean meal to water, enzyme quantity, fermentation time and inoculation quantity) for soybean meal solid fermentation. According to the change of the hydrolyzation degree of soybean protein, the equation of polynomial regression was established between those factors and the response. The result showed that the optimum condition included as follows: ratio of soybean meal to water 1∶1.00,enzyme quantity 2.55%, fermentation time 65h and inoculation quantity 1.00%. Under the optimum level, the degree of hydrolyzation reached 13.3%, which increased 56% over pre-optimization.

Objective To findout the current situation of plague, and the population structure and density distribution of rodent. Methods According to The Plague Monitoring Scheme of Inner Mongolia,we surveyed the surrounding areas of Ceke and Xinximiao. The density of rats was surveyed by one-day bow-clip method and the method of 5 meters clamp law catching rats was used.According to The Plague Diagnostic Criteria(WS 279-2008),the rats and fleas were detected by isolation and culture of Yersinia pestis, the serums of rodent were tested by indirect hemagglutination test. Results From 2002 to 2012,the monitored area was 291 km2.The number of qnadrat in every square kilometers was 118.The number of rodent captured was 1051,the number of Meriones Meridianus was 526,accounting for 50.05% (526/1051),the number of Euchoreutes Naso was 175,accounting for 16.65% (175/1051),and the number of Rhombomys Opimus was 154 accounting for 14.65%(154/1051).The average rodent density was 8.91/hm2.Etiology and serological test results were negative,46 groups of 753 fleas were cultured and 154 serum samples were tested. Conclusions There is no epidemic situation of animal plague in this area, but Meriones Meridianus is a dominant rat with high resistant. So,intensive monitoring should be strengthened in this area to prevent the prevalence of rodent and human plague.

Objective To study the effect of glucocorticoid on serum interleukin(IL)-1,IL-6,transforming growth factor-?_1(TGF-?_1) and tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-?) in children with primary nephrotic syndrome(PNS).Methods The levels of cytokines on serum were compared in 3 different patho-type,and IL-1,IL-6,TGF-?_1 and TNF-? in serum were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) in 25 children with PNS before and after treatment with glucocorticoids. Results Significant difference of IL-1,IL-6,TGF-?_1 and TNF-? were found between the two group before and after the treatment(P0.05).The level of TGF-?_1 in MCD was lo-wer than that in MsPNG,FSGS before and after the treatment(P0.05),and the level of it in FSGS was higher than that in MsPNG after the treatment(P

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(11):1127-1130
With new acupuncture and moxibustion as the study object, based on the basic composition of acupuncture-moxibustion theory, from 3 aspects of meridian-acupoint theory, acupuncture-moxibustion method theory and acupuncture-moxibustion treatment theory, under the background of western medicine, ZHU Lian's different opinions on theory and method of acupuncture and moxibustion were discussed. It was believed by ZHU Lian that the distribution of 14-meridians was approximately identical to that of nerves, so with modern neuroanatomy knowledge to understand the meaning of acupoint; the acupuncture function could be explained from the angle of neurophysiology. Clinical diagnosis and treatment method could be established by modern classification methods of diseases. ZHU Lian's cognition that was different from traditional theory and method of acupuncture and moxibustion was combined with updated physiology and anatomy knowledge at that time, and was involved with Pavlov's advanced nerve theory, so she firstly put forward the opinion that acupuncture therapy can't work without the involvement of cerebral cortex.
