Objective To investigate the accuracy of three dimensional facial measurement system based on structured light projection, and explore the methods to reduce noise of the output images. Methods The known object for calibration was measured by the measurement system to correct the parameters of the system and enhance the measurement accuracy. The mechanism of noise was analysed, and the noise and sundry of the images were eliminated. Results The parameters of each assembly of system were obtained by calculation and calibrated, and the measurement accuracy (0.028 mm) of three dimensional facial measurement system based on structured light projection was increased. Application of image processing technology reduced the noise and sundry of output images. Conclusion The accuracy of three dimensional facial measurement system based on structured light projection is high. The image output is reliable, and can be clinically used in facial scanning and three dimensional reconstruction.

Objective:To explore an improved osteotomy of mandible ascending ramus for the surgical approach to large tumors in parapharyngeal space. Methods:According to the operation of parotid gland, masseter muscle was cut near the border of mandibular angle till subperiosteum dissection to mandibular notch, vertical osteotomy outside mandibular foramen to 1.0 cm under mandibular notch, vertical to posterior border of ascending ramus, tumor was exposed and removed, bone plate was repositioned and fixed with titanium. Results:Tumors were completely removed in this way in 3 patients without complications. Conclusion:This surgical approach is suitable for the surgical removal of parapharyngeal interstitial giantism tumor.

Objective: To investigate the feasibility for reconstructing an aortic arch by a new integrated two-branched stent graft releasing in experimental canine thoracic aorta simulation system.
Methods: A new type of integrated two-branched stent graft was developed and placed in the canine thoracic aorta, the stent graft releasing in a simulated system was conducted under X-ray guidance to monitor the operating process and to explore the feasibility for invitro sent graft releasing.
Results: The new two-branched stent graft was successfully deployed in canine thoracic aorta simulation system. The releasing process was smooth, two small stent grafts were well landing, and all stent grafts were fully expanded and properly positioned.
Conclusion: Our new two-branched stent graft could successfully reconstruct the aortic arch in experimental canine. The thoracic aorta releasing system may better and truly simulate the whole process of endovascular aortic repairing, which provides a good foundation for further animal experiments.

Objective To understand the status of soil-transmitted nematode infections,as well as the awareness and healthy behavior on soil-transmitted nematodiasis in rural residents of Dezhou City. Methods Six villages were selected according to the stratified sampling method;the permanent resident population aged 3 years or above was determined as the investigation objects. The modified Kato-Katz technique was adopted to detect the eggs of Ascaris lumbricoides, hookworm and Trichuris trichiura in the feces of the residents, and the method of cellophane anal swab was used to detect the Enterobius vermicularis infection in children under 12 years old. More than 50 households in each investigated site were randomly selected to investigate the awareness status on nematodiasis prevention and treatment and the condition of healthy behavior formation. Results A total of 2 294 residents were detected by Kato-Katz methods,11 of them were positive, and the total infection rate of soil-transmitted nematodes was 0.48%. To-tally 260 children were detected and 40 were infected with E. vermicularis, and the infection rate was 15.38%. A total of 898 resi-dents were investigated in the household survey and the awareness rate of nematodiasis prevention and treatment was 44.99%,the proportion of residents with healthy behavior was above 70%. Conclusions The infection rate of soil-transmitted nematode is low in rural areas of Dezhou City, but the infection rate of E. vermicularis in children is higher. The condition of healthy behavior forma-tion is satisfying, but the awareness rate of nematodiasis prevention and treatment of the residents is low. Therefore, the control measures as well as healthy education still should be strengthened.

Objective To investigate the establishment of rabbit model of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAS) through hypobaric hypoxia and their changes in pathophysiology. Methods Twelve adult rabbits were randomly assigned to 2 groups, control group and experimental group. The rabbits of experimental group were placed in hypobaric hypoxia cabin,in which the altitude was 5 000 m,10 h daily, for 4 weeks. The rabbits of control group were raised normally. The airway were scanned by CT,arterial blood gas was analyzed and respiratory airflow was monitored. The rabbits were sacrificed after the experiment, and pharyngeal tissue and genioglossus were harvested for pathological examination. Results In hyoid bone plane of upper airway, the pharyngeal of experimental group showed significant thickened(P

Objective To introduce the preliminary experience of using rigid neuroendoscope in repair of spinal meningocele or myelomeningocele. Methods 3 infantile patients aging between 13 months and 22 months underwent the resection and repair of spinal meningocele or myelomeningocele in May, 2013. The operations were performed under the direct visualization of the rigid neuroendoscope in the aid of the intraoperative electrophysiological monitoring. All the surgical manipulations were accomplished outside the sheath of the endoscope. Results The surgical procedures were smooth. All the patients recovered satisfactorily. There was no postoperative complication. At the one-year follow-up, they were developing normally. Conclusions The rigid neuroendoscope is useful to the resection and repair of spinal meningocele and myelomeningocele. It could simplify the surgical procedures.
