Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is a common hemorrhagic disease of child,and the chronic type of it is easier to recur.This paper introduces Professor SHI Yu-min's experience in treating chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura with methods of strengthening kidney,benefiting qi and activating blood flow combining with tonification and regulation.In addition,this paper expounds Prof.SHI's characteristics and laws in herbal prescription.And a case is presented.

ObjectiveTo study the effect of Rehabilitative Ankle-Foot Orthoses training program on walking function of hemiplegic patients after stroke .Methods95 patients were randomly divided into two groups: observed group (49 cases) and control group (46 cases). The patients of control group were trained by routine rehabilitation training program, the patients of observed group were trained by Rehabilitative Ankle-Foot Orthoses and routine rehabilitation training program.ResultsAfter training, either observed group or control group showed significant improvement at walking function and ADL(P<0.01), but the improvement on observed group were more marked than coutrol group(P<0.01 and P<0.05). ConclusionsThe ability of walking in acute stroke patients were obviously improved, and the degree of the disability of them was decreased by Rehabilitative Ankle-Foot Orthoses.

Ineffective therapies might cause irreversible damage on optic nerves and visual field defect, even the loss in visual function. To study the influence of foreign plasmid DNA on spleen metabolism in immune-stimulated mice via the gastrointestinal tract. Mice were oral administered by pipette with 200?g of plasmid pcDNA3 and spleen were isolated at 4h and 18h after oral administration. Total RNA were extracted from spleen and spleen gene expression profile of Balb/c mice was analyzed by using Affymetrix oligonucleotide genechip after oral plasmid pcDNA3 administration. Functional cluster analysis was conducted by Genmapp and MAPPFinder software. By functional cluster analyzing the genes which were up-regulated more than twofolds, Genmapp results showed that plenty of metabolic pathway were induced in spleen after oral administration of plasmid pcDNA3. These metabolic process included purine metabolism, pyrimidine metabolism, protein synthesis, cholesterol synthesis, fatty acid synthesis, Glycolysis, TCA cycle and mitochondria oxidative phosphorylation pathway. The similar results also took place at 18h after oral administration. The result indicated that foreign plasmid DNA can modulate metabolism process in spleen of mice via the gastrointestinal tract, and may help understand the mechanism of action of foreign plasmid DNA uptaked via the gastrointestinal tract.

A series of isoindoline derivatives were designed, synthesized, and evaluated for their double inhibitory activities. All of them were new compounds, and their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR and HR-MS. Preliminary in vitro pharmacological tests showed that all compounds exhibited 5-HT or NE reuptake inhibition activity. Among the tested compounds, compound I-3 exhibited potent inhibitory activity against 5-HT and NE reuptake in vitro, and exhibited potent antidepressant activity in vivo. These compounds designed can be further optimized for finding more potent 5-HT/NE dual reuptake inhibitors and antidepressant candidates as well.

Objective To study correlation between MRI signal intensity of the lumbar intervertebral disc and collagen content in the nucleus pulposus.Methods Thirty-one cases with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation(male 21,female 10)received percutaneous lumbar disketetomy.Thirty-one specimens of nucleous pulposus were obtained from percutaneous lumbar disketctomy procedure and collagen content in them was measured with reformed hydroxyproline measurement method.The signal intensity(SI) of lumbar intervertebral disc and cerebrospinal fluid was measured in T_2 WI sagittal image and then ratio of disc SI to cerebrospinal fluid SI was calculated.The Pearson analysis was used to analyze the correlation between the collagen content and SI ratio and disc SI on T_2 WI.Results Collagen content and SI ratio were (231.0?63.5)mg/g and 0.19?0.07,respectively.There was negative correlation between them (r=-0.61,P
