Objective To investigate the status of nutritional risk and clinical outcome in children hospitalized in the general surgical department, which can provide basis for clinical nutritional support and selecting the screening tool. Methods Nutritional risk screening was performed on 506 children hospitalized in the general surgical department by using the Paediatric Yorkhill Malnutrition Score (PYMS). The data on incidence of complications, parenteral nutritional support during hospitalization, length of hospital stay and total hospital expenses were recorded. Results Of the 506 cases, 64.6%(327/506) had low nutritional risk, 27.1%(137/506) had moderate nutritional risk, and 8.3%(42/506) had high nutritional risk. Hepatic and gall diseases were the most common types of moderate nutritional risk (55.2%, 16/29), intestinal obstruction were the most common types of high nutritional risk (23.1%, 6/26). The incidence of complications, parenteral nutritional support during hospitalization, length of hospital stay and total hospital expenses were 10.2%(14/137), 21.9%(30/137), (9.54±4.95) d, (6 899.13±3 281.18) yuan RMB and 21.4%(9/42), 35.7%(15/42), (10.60±7.25) d, (7 521.64±6 026.23) yuan RMB in moderate or high nutritional risk children, and 0.9%(3/327), 3.1%(10/327), (17.17 ± 4.17) d, (4 691.96 ± 3 114.43) yuan RMB in low nutritional risk children, and there were significant differences (χ2/F=18.665-64.554, P<0.05). Conclusions Moderate or high nutritional risk is seen in children hospitalized in the surgical department. High nutritional risk score is correlated with adverse clinical outcome. PYMS can be used for nutritional risk screening in hospitalized children.

Microbiology 2008;0(10):-
A fusion expression vector pPIC3.5K-PDGFR? was constructed to express recombinant receptor tyrosine kinase PDGFR? and the right Pichia pastoris transformants were screened on his-deficient plates and YPD-G418 plates by turns after electroporation of strain GS115, a high yield strain named M3 was screened. The strain M3 was cultured in a 5 L fermentor and His-GFP-PDGFR? fusion protein was purified by Ni2+ chelating affinity chromatography. One distinct peak was obtained after elution with 250 mmol/L imidazole. Fusion protein was proved to be 90.08 kD by western blotting, and have tyrosine kinase activity by ELISA. Results showed that the receptor tyrosine kinase PDGFR? was successfully expressed in P. pastoris and could be used as a target for small molecule selective inhibitors screening.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2014;(6):554-557
Objective To investigate the characteristics of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and analyze the influence of age, coma or not, injury side, and injury area on the scores of MoCA. Methods 135 stroke patients were evaluated with MoCA. Results The scores were poor in delayed recalling, abstraction, verbal fluency, view space and executive function, and were less poor in naming, attention and orientation. There was significantly difference in the total score, attention, verbal fluency, delayed recalling and orientation of MoCA between older and younger patients (P<0.05). There was significantly difference in the total score, view space and executive function, attention, orientation between patients with coma and without coma (P<0.05). There was significantly difference in the total score, attention, verbal fluency, abstraction, delayed recalling and orientation between thoses with left side injury and right side injury (P<0.05). Compared with basal ganglia injury, front lobes injury tended to impact the total scores, attention, abstraction and delayed recalling (P<0.05); frontal, temporal and parietal lobes tended to impact the total score, naming, abstraction and delayed recalling (P<0.05). Conclusion The total scores of MoCA do reflect the cognitive impairment in patients with stroke, while the age, coma or not, injury side and injury area of the brain may impact the cognitive impairment in patients.
