1.Research on Barrier-free Home Environment System Based on Speech Recognition.

The number of people with physical disabilities is increasing year by year, and the trend of population aging is more and more serious. In order to improve the quality of the life, a control system of accessible home environment for the patients with serious disabilities was developed to control the home electrical devices with the voice of the patients. The control system includes a central control platform, a speech recognition module, a terminal operation module, etc. The system combines the speech recognition control technology and wireless information transmission technology with the embedded mobile computing technology, and interconnects the lamp, electronic locks, alarms, TV and other electrical devices in the home environment as a whole system through a wireless network node. The experimental results showed that speech recognition success rate was more than 84% in the home environment.

3.Clinical efficacy of repair for defect after xanthelasma removal with a subcutaneous pedicle flap based on the orbicularis oculi muscle

Objective To study the method and effect of subcutaneous pedicle flap based on the orbicularis oculi muscle in the treatment of xanthelasma.Methods According to the situation of xanthelasma and the soft tissues of upper eyelid,two new double-folds eyelid was designed.The soft tissues (including the skin and muscle) between two lines were intended to form a subcutaneous pedicle flap based on the orbicularis oculi muscle.Then,after the excision of xanthelasma from the surface of orbicularis oculi muscle,the flap was transferred to the defected site.Finally,a new double-folds eyelid was made.Results 13 cases with 25 sides were treated with a follow-up period of 3-6 months.All flaps were survived with good functions and the appearance of upper eyelids were satisfactory.Conclusions Subcutaneous pedicle flap based on the orbicularis oculi muscle is a reliable option for the treatment of xanthelasma.It has the advantages of abundant blood supply,convenience and effective.

5.The Role of Androgen in High-Salt Induced Hypertension in Rats

Objective To study the effects of high salt intake on blood pressure and renin-angiotensin in male rats with different plasm androgen levels.Methods Thirty male Wistar rats were randomized to sham(n=10)or operated(n=10),or castration(n=10),or testosterone replacement after castarion(26.7 mg/kg,n=10)and fed with 8% NaCl for 8 weeks.Tall arterial pressure were recorded before,4 and 8 weeks after experiment.Serum PRA,plasma angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ)and testosterone(T)were determined by radioimmunoassey respectively. 6.Anterior plate fixation for cervical distractive flexion injuries:a biomechanical comparison of different types of design

Objective To evaluate the safety of dynamic anterior plate fixation for cervical distractive flexion injuries and compare its rigidity between different types of plate design. Methods Twelve sets of cadaveric calf spine were used in this test. All the specimens were made into distractive flexion injury models (C4-C5) ac- cording to Allen's method. After discectomy and grafting, they were randomized into three groups in which Orion, Codman, and Window instrumentations were used respectively. The stiffness of each construct was tested in flexion, extension, lateral bending and axial torsion conditions sequentially. Results Compared with an intact cervical spine, the range of motion (ROM) of an injured cervical spine increased whatever plate was applied. Orion in- strumentation presented stiffness the closest to that of the normal control, except for less torsional stiffness. Codman instrumentation provided stiffness close to that for normal and Orion groups only in lateral bending. Window's was the weakest mad not enough in all kinds of movement. Conclusions Static anterior fixation is the first choice for cervical injuries. Dynamic plate fixation may sacrifice stiffness to some extent, especially when a shifting kind of design is to be chosen.
7.Study of Bupropion Hydrochloride Tablet and Fluoxetine in Treatment of Depression Multicenter Clinical Trial

Safety analysis suggested that no significant differences were found in symptoms and frequency of side effects between the two groups.Conclusion Bupropion hydrochloride tablet is an effective and safe antidepressant. It has similar effect and safety compared with fluoxetine in the treatment of depression.
8.Dynamic expression of TGF-beta1/Smad protein in CCl4-induced liver fibrosis and its significance in rats.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the dynamic expression of TGF-beta1/Smad protein in rats with liver fibrosis induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), to study mechanism of TGF-beta1/Smad signaling and the relationship between its transduction and liver fibrosis.
METHODSFifty healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into two groups: normal control group and model group. Experimental liver fibrosis was induced by subcutaneous injection of CCl4. After six weeks and nine weeks, histopathological changes and degrees of fibrosis were observed by optical microscopy. Meanwhile, the expression of TGF-beta1, TP3R-I, Smad2/3 and Smad7 proteins was detected by immunohistochemistry.
RESULTS(1) Pathological observation of hepatic specimens: hepatic tissue of model group rat had inflammation and fibrosis in different degrees. By comparing with the degrees of inflammation and fibrosis model groups were more severe than normal control group (P < 0.05). (2) Changes of protein levels about TGF-beta1/Smad: the expressions of TGF-beta1, TbetaR-I, Smad2/3 and Smad7 in rat hepatic tissue were detected with immunohistochemistry techniques. The expressions of the four items in model group were higher than those of normal control group (P < 0.01). In fibrosis model group, there exist considerable positive correlations among expressions of TGF-beta1, TbetaR-I, Smad2/3, Smad7 and degrees of fibrosis in livers (P < 0.05 or 0.01).
CONCLUSIONThere is close relation between the level of TGF-beta1, TbetaR-I, Smad2/3, Smad7 and the different liver fibrosis grades due to CCl4. The up regulation of TGF-beta1, TbetaR- I, Smad2/3 and Smad7 in liver tissue is involved in the progression of hepatic fibrosis.

9.Study on traceability system of genuine medicinal materials.

Genuine medicinal materials with special characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is recognized as high quality medicine. Both ancient records and modern research considered that the origin is an important reason for the formation of genuine medicinal materials. However, blindly transplanting of genuine medicinal materials has led to the quality decline and counterfeit medicines appeared in production or sale progress, which may increase the risk of accidents in TCM. Frequent accidents emerged in Chinese herbal affects its export. What's more, it is a great threat to the medication safety in TCM clinical. There is an urgent need to implement traceability systems of TCM, which could provide convenient information record and traceability of TCM circulation. This paper reviews a variety of technical methods for genuine medicinal materials traceability, and proposed the establishment of genuine medicinal materials traceability system based on two-dimensional code and network database.

10.Effects of prophylactic antibiotics administration on colonized microorganisms of thoracic catheter in pneumothorax patients treated with closed thoracic drainage

Objective To investigate the feature of the microorganisms colonization of the thoracic catheter-related infection and evaluate the clinical significance of prophylactic antibiotics administration in patients with pneumothorax treated with closed thoracic drainage. Method A total of 120 patients with pneumothorax treated with closed thoracic dramage in emergency department wore enrolled. The patients were randomized (random number) into group A (n =60) and group B (n =60). In group A, the patients received levofloxacin mesylate injection and in group B, patients received physiological saline injection instead after closed thoracic drainage. The tip of catheter was cut off to get a 2-cm long segment after catheter removal and this segment was dipped into a bottle filled with liquid culture medium for microorganism culture. Statistical analysis carried out by using χ2 test or Fisher exact test. Results Of all 120 patients, microorganisms were found in 49 segments of catheter and 57 strains of microorganisms were found. The four most common microorganisms were Coagulase-negative staphylococci (57.9%), Candida albicans (10. 5%),Staphylococcus aureus (7%) and Acinetobacter baumanii (7%). All of them were highly drug-resistant to β-1actam antibiotics. The difference in the positive rate of microorganism culture was distinct in pneumothorax patients with underlying diseases (50%) in comparison to the patients without underlying diseases (31%) (P < 0.05). The positive rate of microorganism culture increased significantly as the duration of drainage was longer than 14 days (P < 0.01). The positive rate of culture in group A was lower than that in group B if the duration of drainage was less than 7 days (8.3% vs 52.9%, P < 0.01). The positive rate of culture after drainage for 7 days was 21.4% in group A and 68.8% in group B (P <0.05), and that after drainage for over 14 days was 70% in both groups (P > 0.05). There were no significant differences in outcome and days of hospital stay between two groups (P > 0. 05). Conclusions The common colonized microorganisms of thoracic catheter-related infection are conditional pathogens and highly resistant to antibiotics. Lengthening the duration of drainage and having underlying diseases increase the risk of infection. Although prophylactic antibiotics administration is beneficial to decrease the risk of thoracic catheter-related infection, it has no effects on shortening hospital stay and outcome of disease.
