Objective To evaluate the value of fMRI guided brain surgery for the lesions in or around Broca's area.Methods Forty-three patients with lesions in or adjacent to the Broca's area were studied.fMRI imaging was obtained by BOLD technique with the tasks of reciting.Fiber tract imaging of white matter was obtained by DTI technique.All functional imaging and anatomic imaging were transferred to neuronavigation system.The technique of direct cortical stimulation was used to validate the language cortex in fMRI.The lesions were resected in microscope.Results Broca's area activation was detected in 38 cases..The distance between the fMRI peak and direct cortical stimulation was rated as overlapping (<1 cm diatance) in 25 cases and neighbouring (<2 cm diatance) in 11 cases.Total lesion resection was achieved in 17 cases, subtotal resection in 14 cases, and partial resection in 12 cases.Postoperative neurological functions were improved in 8 cases, unchanged in 31 cases, and temporary worsen in 4 cases.Conclusions The identification of the Broca's area by reciting task in fMRI is sensitive and precise.The fMRI is helpful to decrease the side effect injury in the brain surgery for the lesions in or around the Broca's area.

To have a better understanding on the evolution of Metallosphaera sedula-mediated precipitation and the properties of the precipitate synthesized by this species，a newly identified extremely thermophilic strain (YN23) of Metallosphaera sedula was cultured in the medium containing Fe2+ as energy resouTce under optimal condidons (pH1.5，65℃,0.2g·1-1 yeast extract,30g·1-1 Fe2SO4·7H2O and 170rpm)．XRD，EDS，ETIR and SEM reveal the precipitate obtained from YN23-inoculated flasks to be a mixture of potassium jarosite and ammoniojarosite，with morphological features similar to the latter．Precipitation Was first detected once over 90％ of Fe2+ was oxidized at hour 25 with a peak pH value of 1.92，and was ended when precipitate reached the highest point of 7.9g·1-1 at hour 95 with the lowest pH value of 1.32 in solution．Microbial density underwent a rapid increase along with Fe2+ oxidation and a gradual decrease with precipitate piling up.

A reliable method for simultaneous determinition of eleven representative components (neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic acid B, isochlorogenic acid A, isochlorogenic acid C, shanzhiside, geniposidic acid, genipin-1-β-D-gentiobioside, geniposide and secoxyloganin) in combination of chromatographic fingerpint analysis for Reduning injection was developed by ultra high-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC). The method was performed on an Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18 anlytical column (3. 0 mm x 100 mm, 1. 8 µm) with a guard column of Agilent UPLC Guard ZORBAX SB-C18 (3.0 mm x 5 mm) at the column temperature of 30 °C. The gradient mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile (A)-0. 1% phosphoric acid (B) with a flow rate of 0. 4 mL . min-1. The injection volumn was 2 µL. The detection wavelengths were set at 324 nm and 238 nm for quantit tive analysis and 225 nm for fingerpint chromatography. Neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic acid B, isochlorogenic acid A, isochlorogenic acid C, shanzhiside, geniposidic acid, genipin-1-β-D-gentiobioside, geniposide and secoxyloganin were baseline seperated with good linearity relationships (r >0. 999) between concentration and peak areas over the linear ranges. The average recoverys of the investigated compounds were 103.5%, 100. 2%, 103. 3%, 102. 8%, 101. 3%, 102. 8%, 97. 36%, 99. 62%, 98. 16%, 102. 8%, 99. 27%, respectively. Reduning injection of forty-five batches was analyzed by UPLC finge print chromatography. Thirty batches were selected to generate the reference fringerprint chromatography with fourteen common peaks. The similarity values between the reference fringerprint chromatography and the remaining fifteen batches were higher than 0. 99. The developed method was fast, accurate and sensitive. It could be used as a reference for the quality control of multiple components determination and fingerprint chromatography for Reduning injection in future.

Objective: To learn the health literacy level and its influencing factors among permanent residents in Shaanxi Province in order to improve it. Methods: From July to November of 2017,multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method was used to select 15-69 year-old permanent residents in Shaanxi Province. A survey was conducted using“Chinese citizen health literacy monitoring questionnaire”issued by National Health Commission. The influencing factors for health literacy were analyzed by the multivariate logistic regression model. Results: Totally 2 352 valid questionnaires were collected with a response rate of 98.00%. The health literacy level of permanent residents in Shaanxi Province was 10.54%. The levels of basic knowledge,healthy lifestyle and behaviors,and health related skills were 24.81%,9.33% and 14.52%,respectively. The levels of scientific health views,safety and first aid,health information,infectious diseases prevention,basic medical care and chronic diseases prevention were 42.81%,42.73%,19.11%,18.32%,16.27% and 8.24%,respectively. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that educational background of junior high school or above（OR：6.660-29.077,95%CI：2.050-97.355）was a promoting factor of health literacy,yet rural residency（OR=0.621,95%CI：0.442-0.872）was a constraining factor. Conclusion The heath literacy level of Shaanxi residents in 2017 was 10.54%. Educational background of junior high school or above and rural residency were influencing factors for health literacy.

Objective To explore the genetic mechanism of Yang-deficiency constitution by detecting genomic copy number variations (CNVs). Methods Thirty cases of Yang-deficiency constitution and 30 cases of balanced constitution were included according to the standards of Classification and Determination of Constitution in Traditional Chinese Medicine. DNA was extracted from white blood cells in peripheral blood. A genome-wide association study was conducted by using Affymetrix SNP 6.0 platform. CNVs of each sample were analyzed using PennyCNV software. The Yang-deficiency constitution-specific copy number variation regions (CNVRs) of each autosome were identified. CNVR-related genes and their annotations were searched at online Human Genome Browser. Results The mean number of CNVs in balanced constitution group was 12.63±3.39, ranging from 8 to 20. After stepwise elimination of two Yang-deficiency constitution subjects, the mean number of CNVs in Yang-deficiency constitution group was 15.04±8.95, ranging from 2 to 38. A total of 26 CNVRs were identified from 28 Yang-deficiency constitution subjects, including 19 duplicated CNVRs, 6 deleted CNVRs, and 1 mixed type CNVR. Most CNVRs were shared by a few Yang-deficiency constitution subjects, and only 7 CNVRs were shared by more than 5 Yang-deficiency constitution subjects. The functions of representative genes in Yang-deficiency constitution-specific CNVRs were related with extracellular and intracellular signal transduction, metabolic regulation, and immune response, etc. Conclusion Yang-deficiency constitution subjects have some specific genomic CNVs, which might result in Yang-deficiency constitution phenotypes by influencing the expression of genes associated with extracellular and intracellular signal transduction, material metabolism (energy metabolism), and immune response, etc.

High-performance liquid chromatographic coupled with variable wavelength detection (HPLC-VWD) has been developed for simultaneous determination of 5 analytes including ellagic acid, quercetin, kaempferol-3-O-beta-D-rutinoside, tiliroside and kaempferol, and high-performance liquid chromatographic with an evaporative light scattering detector (HPLC-ELSD) has been established to determine goshonoside-F5 in extract of Rubi Fructus. Chromatographic separations were carried out on an Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18 column (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5.0 microm). All calibration curves of reference standards revealed good linearity (R2 > 0.999 5) within the concentration ranges tested. The method limits of detection ranged 0.297-90.144 ng and the method limits ofquantitation ranged 0.990-300.480 ng, respectively. Recoveries of 6 analytes were from 97.11% to 101.7%, with RSD less than 2.1%. The result shows that amounts of the 6 analytes in the samples from 16 localities were found to be different. The higher latitude of growing environment, the more ellagic acid in herb. The content of total flavonoids in sample from east localities were higher than that in middle and west localities, and the content of goshonoside-F5 in Bozhou, Anhui province was higher than others. This method was found to be simple, accurate, sensitive with good repeatability. Those results might serve as a sound foundation for further study, quality control and application of Rubi Fructus.

Objective To construct an expression system to produce the virus-like particles containing a part of the sequence of PSA mRNA, which are ribonuclease-resistant due to the encapsulation of the mRNA by bacteriophage MS2 coat proteins. Methods The PCR products of PSA cDNA fragments were cloned to TA vector pBS-T, then the targeted segments could be obtained when the pBS-T-PSA were digested by restriction endonuclease Hind Ⅲ and cloned to prokaryocytic expression vector pNCCL1. The recombinant plasmids named PNCCL1-PSA were transfected into E. Coli BL21-DE3 and induced to express with IPTG. Results The recombinant plasmids were successfully constructed. The bacteriophage MS2 coat protein which expressed in BL21 can self- assemble to form ribonuclease resistant virus-like particles and the PSA mRNA was encapsulated into virus-like particles. Conclusions The virus-like particle containing PSA mRNA can be expressed in prokaryocyte and it can be used as standard and control in detecting PSA mRNA. It provides a new, stable and ribonuclease-resistant RNA standard in RNA detection.

Objective To compare the acceptance of 2 different teaching modes－physicians and therapists teaching together and separately in continuing education students of rehabilitation medicine. Methods A questionnaire was filled by the students who attended the lectures of both Rehabilitation of Elbow Injury and Rehabilitation of Wrist Injury in the 9th National Orthopedic Class. The former lecture was taught by the rehabilitation physician and physical therapist together (together mode), and the latter lecture was taught by the rehabilitation physician and physical therapist separately (separate mode). The questionnaire included the choices and text questions. Results There were 45 copies of effective questionnaire all together. The satisfaction of both lectures were above 90%. As to teaching modes, 77.8% students liked together mode better, and 22.2% students preferd the separate mode. 93.9% students would or maybe use together mode in their future work, and 88.9% in separate mode. Conclusion The mode of physician and therapist giving lectures together is well accepted by students.

PURPOSE: To assess the compliance of Chinese urologists with China's benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) clinical practice guideline and to explore the diagnosis and therapy modalities for geriatric patients with BPH. METHODS: A cross-sectional survey study was carried out in 33 medical centers in 11 different cities in China. A total of 190 urologists participated in a survey to record their preferences for diagnostic tests and treatment options for BPH outpatients. Diagnostic test results as well as health care demands were collected by surveying 2,027 outpatients aged 60 years and older. RESULTS: The survey response rate was 97.4%. The respondents generally used the diagnostic tests recommended in China's BPH clinical practice guideline at varying rates. The used rates for medical history, ultrasonography, and urinalysis were above 90.0%; that for uroflowmetry was 31.2%. In addition, the rate of use of recommended tests was higher among doctors in the north than among those in the south. Combination therapy with alpha-adrenoceptor antagonists and 5alpha-reductase inhibitors was the preferred treatment option for BPH, and was increasingly used with worsening lower urinary tract symptoms. Finasteride was the most prescribed medication (48.0%), followed by tamsulosin (22.7%). CONCLUSIONS: This study assessed the preferences of urologists in the diagnosis and treatment of BPH, which will serve as an important reference for updating and improving China's current BPH clinical practice guideline.
