Literatures of study on acupoint functional effect of encephalic region with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) are collected from the database of China National Knowledge Information (CNKI) and Wan fang database. Analysis and comments are made respectively from the status quo of studies on combination of single acupoint, two acupoints and multiple acupoints under both physiological and pathological conditions. The results show that the corresponding encephalic regions can be specifically activated by acupuncture. And different regions can be activated by different acupoints. However, studies on single acupoint, two acupoints and three acupoints are the major researches carried out at present. It is still lack of observation on effect of commonly-used combinations in clinic. Moreover, the reliability of the research results are also affected by disunity of operations protocol, reinforcing or reducing manipulations, intensity or depth of stimulation and duration of needling retention. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a unified and standard operation protocol to strictly control the bias factors which may affect the result of research in the future, and take patients as the study target as much as possible, so as to further explore the central effect mechanism.

Objective Nanoknife, also called irreversible electroporation,is a new technique of tissue ablation.Short, microsecond electrical pulses with high voltage are applied to the cell membrane, causing pores to form within the membrane and finally leading to cell death. The current study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of the nanoknife in the ablation of the healthy pig pancreas. Methods Three healthy pigs underwent open pancreatic tissue ablation with nanoknife, and blood leukocytes and amylase were detected before and after treatment.Three pigs were sacrificed and gross specimens were collected on day 5,day 10 and day 15 after the procedure, respectively.HE staining and TUNEL staining were conducted and tissue, cellular and subcellular structures were observed under the ordinary microscope and transmission electron microscopy. Results Three experimental pigs recovered well after the procedure. No significant adhesions were found surrounding the pancreatic tissue, and the ablation zone was slightly harder.Transiently increased leukocyte count and amylase level were observed after the ablation, which decreased to the normal level on day 3 after treatment.Under light microscope, the pancreatic tissues in ablation zone appeared to be significantly different from the normal surrounding regions, with more cell death and more apoptotic cells detected by TUNEL staining. The subcellular structure changes also changed under electron microscope. But the main pancreatic duct and its large branches, together with arteriovenous distributions did not change much. Conclusions Nanoknife pancreatic tissue ablation can induce irreversible damage. In the ablation area, pancreatic duct and vascular structures are kept intact.Within a reasonable voltage range and appropriate electrical pulses setting, nanoknife ablation is safe in vivo experiment.

Objective To study the effects of community comprehensive intervention model on osteoporosis, in order to provides a reference for osteoporosis health education work. Methods A multistage stratified random cluster sampling was applied to conduct a survey in Jiangsu province, in accordance with the economic level and geographic location. Nanjing, Nantong and Xuzhou cities were sampled, three urban streets were sampled in every district , respectively. A total of 1 500 40-69 years old community residents were screened, 619 high-risk participants for osteoporosis were arranged into the intervention group, and a total of 590 residents from the same communities were chosen as control group, who were gender- and age-matched with the intervention group. The intervention group residents received health management and comprehensive intervention, after half a year, a self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the effects. Results Compared with control group, after six months, knowledge of intervention group related to osteoporosis awareness was improved significantly, such as the most serious harm to human body for osteoporosis (χ2=24.27), characteristic of osteoporosis (χ2=11.05), basic supplements to improve bone health (χ2=60.65) , the recommended daily calcium intake to postmenopausal women and the elderly (χ2=26.80), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); daily behavior related to diet and exercise of intervention group has improved significantly, such as drinking milk or itsproducts less than 3 days a week (χ2=25.83), eating beans and products for less than 3 days a week (χ2=19.20), drinking coffee for more than three days a week (χ2=7.77), not often taking outdoor activities (χ2=18.55) ,(P<0.05);Diseases and symptoms related to osteoporosis in intervention group was significantly reduced (P<0.001). Conclusions The osteoporosis is one of the most important public health problem for Jiangsu province, the work for osteoporosis prevention and control should be emphasized in community.

BACKGROUND: Resistin has been shown to play an important role in the pathogenesis and progression of osteoarthritis. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the correlation between resistin level in serum and synovial fluid and the severity of knee osteoarthritis. METHODS: Seventy-four patients with knee osteoarthritis and 79 healthy individuals were recruited. The Noyes score method was used to assess articular cartilage damage arthroscopically. The severity of knee osteoarthritis was evaluated according to the Western Ontario McMaster University Osteoarthritis (WOMAC) score. The radiographic severity of knee osteoarthritis was assessed by the Kellgren-Lawrence (K-L) grading system. The levels of resistin and cross linked C-telopeptide of type Ⅱ collagen (CTX-Ⅱ) in serum and synovial fluid were determined by ELISA. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The resistin level in the synovial fluid was positively correlated with the radiographic severity of knee osteoarthritis, WOMAC pain, WOMAC function, and WOMAC total scores, but showed no correlation with the WOMAC stiffness score. There were no significant correlations between the serum level of resistin and WOMAC total scores, subscale or K-L Grading system in the the osteoarthritis patients. Multiple regression analysis showed that the correlation between the synovial fluid level of resistin and WOMAC scores was of significance after removal of other confounding factors, and the resistin level in the synovial fluid was positively correlated with Noyes scores and CTX-Ⅱ level. These results suggest that the resistin level in the synovial fluid can serve as a potential biomarker reflecting the severity of knee osteoarthritis and cartilage degenerative degree in patients with osteoarthritis.
