ObjectiveTo evaluate the performance of diagnosis-related groups,Beijing version (BJ-DRGs) which were locally developed in Beijing.MethodA total of 1.3 million inpatient records from 149 hospitals in Beijing in 2008 were drawn from Beijing Public Information Center.Coefficient of variation (CV) was used to measure the performance of DRGs system.ResultsBJ-DRGs produced the best CV results for expenditure.ConclusionsUnder Beijing's medical information condition,BJ-DRGs produced good performance.

Diagnosis related groups (DRGs)have been widely used in many countries and regions.The versions of DRGs in different regions are modified according to the local circumstances and conditions.Beijing version DRGs (BJ-DRGs)is the first DRGs system in Chinese,which was developed locally based on the conditions of medical information system and health relative policies in Beijing.This paper introduced the grouping principles,logic and methodology of BJ-DRGs.Taking“ear,nose,mouth and throat disorders”for example,this paper demonstrated the grouping process of BJ-DRGs.

Objective Beijing plans to run a DRGs-PPS pilot.The relative height of each DRG group produced by the price of charge categories.Because of serious distortions of medical services prices,DRGs'weight must be adjusted.Methods Dividing medical service into 5 major class-medical,nursing,technique,drugs and consumables,management,a conversion with currency were established to produce the cost.Results The weight of groups involve intervention from MDCF are drop.ConclusionThe weight regulated can optimize resources allocation and reflect the ture value of medical service.

OBJECTIVE:To provide suggestions for the improvement of curriculum system of Pharmacy Administration(Ph.A).METHODS:The basic information was collected by searching official website and the websites of universities and colleges,and the detailed data were collected through questionnaire survey.RESULTS:In the 111 universities and colleges investigated,a total of 51 curriculums(or 399 courses) related to Ph.A were set up.The main curriculums are pharmacy administration(210 courses),pharmaceutical marketing(61 courses),pharmacy laws and regulations(26 courses).In different universities and colleges,the credit hours,semester and property of Ph.A curriculums are different.CONCLUSIONS:The system of Ph.A curriculums has become more and more comprehensive,and the setup of each course suits the need of social needs.But the setup of curriculums of Ph.A in each university or college was far from systematical,and its structure remained to be optimized,and the structure of the teaching materials of Ph.A should be strengthened.

AIM: To study p42/p44 mitogen - activated protein kinases ( MAPK ) signal transduction pathway effect on vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF ) expression induced by elevated glucose concentration in cultured human retinal pigment epithelium ( hRPE) .
METHODS:hRPE cells were cultured and divided into four groups:normal glucose group (NG) (5. 6mmol/L), high glucose group ( HG1:15mmol/L D-glucose, HG2:20mmol/L D - glucose, HG3:30mmol/L D - glucose ), PD98059 group: hRPE cells were treated by an efficient and selective inhibitor PD98059 (20μmol/L) of p42/p44MAPK signal transduction pathway and solvent dimethyl sulfoxide group ( DMSO group) . The expression of VEGF and pigment epithelium derived factor ( PEDF ) mRNA was detected by RT-PCR. VEGF protein expression in cultured hRPE supernatants was detected by enzyme-linked immumosorbent assay ( ELISA) .
RUSULTS: VEGF mRNA and protein expression induced by elevated glucose concentration increased significantly. VEGF mRNA and protein expression were restrained in PD98059 group. Ratio of ( VEGF/β-actine)/( PEDF/β - actine ) in PD98059 group decreased significantly compare with that in high glucose group.
CONCLUSION: p42/p44MAPK signal transduction pathway might play a part in VEGF expression induced by elevated glucose concentration in cultured hRPE cells.

Objective: To investigate the levels of resisitin and C reactive protein, and their relationship with diabetic in patients. Methods: The levels of resistin and C reactive protein were determined in 62 diabetic patients and 42 control subjects. Objective To study the effect of Zusanli and Guanyuan electroacupuncture ( EA) on inflammatory reaction in patients with sepsis. Methods A prospective and randomized trial was carried out in 58 sepsis patients, and the patients were randomly divided into EA group and control group. Patients in both groups were given conventional western medicine treatment, and EA group received EA at acupoints of Zusanli and Guanyuan additionally. The hospitalization time in intensive care unit ( ICU) of the two groups was compared. The changes of serum lactic acid (LA) level and inflammatory indexes including white blood cell and neutrophil count, C- reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and procalcitonin (PCT) of the two groups were observed before and after treatment. Results The hospitalization time in ICU of EA group was less than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05) . On the seventh day after treatment, the serum LA level of EA group was significantly lower than that of the control group ( P<0.05) . Inflammatory indexes of EA group were decreased after treatment compared with those before treatment ( P<0.05) , and on seventh day after treatment, the inflammatory indexes of EA group were significantly lower than those of the control group ( P<0.05) . Conclusion EA at acupoints of Zusanli and Guanyuan is effective for the treatment of sepsis through reducing the inflammatory reaction of sepsis patients.
