5.Analysis of stability and healing on minimally invasive osteotomy for the treatment of hallux valgus.
China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2016;29(3):228-231
To treat hallux valgus, minimally invasive osteotomy on 1st metatarsal neck, immobilization with "8-shape" bandagev was performed, and the effect was definited. The principles of osteotomy stability were analyzed from the osteotomy position, methods, direction and angle. The grinding drill was used to increase friction coefficient between the ends of osteotomy. Correct direction of osteotomy and suitable angle were the key point of stability. The immobilization with "8-shape" bandage complied with the principle of elastic fixation created the conditions for the slight movement of the osteotomy ends. Compared with internal fixation ,it was better on osteotomy healing, and the osteotomy ends were stable and healed with cartilage

6.Interpretation of standards on training and evaluation of urine analyzers in grass-roots medical unit
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2017;38(5):135-137
Objective To analyze the training and evaluation standards on urine analyzers in the grass-roots medical unit. Methods The applicability, requirements, subject setup and items of the standards as well as the requirements of evaluation scoring chart were expounded in detail, and the related elementary knowledge was analyzed including the structure, working principle, installation and adjustment, operation, application, maintenance and etc of the analyzer.Combined personnel with the equipment was suggested to ensure the accuracy and high efficiency of the test result. Results The interpretation of the standards contributed to enhancing the quality of medical equipment training and the ability of practical support, and facilitated the examiner to perform annual evaluation with the scoring chart. Conclusion It is necessary to grasp accurately the connotation of the standards,to improve the quality of medical equipment training and to enhance combat support capability for the grass-roots medical unit and examiner.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(11):-
A combination vaccine which consists of ≥2 immunogens is intended to provide protection against two or more diseases or against multiple serotypes of a single disease. The use of combination vaccines decrease the number of vaccine injections in the regular immunization schedules. However, the development of combination vaccines is more complicated than monovalent vaccines, preservatives and adjuvants used with one component may alter the potency of other components. Physical, chemical, and biological interactions between the components of combination vaccines must be considered to avoid detrimental effects on safety or efficacy. Therefore combination vaccines present unique challenges for product evaluation. This paper presents a review of research application status, the evaluation of effectiveness and safety,as well as development prospects on combination vaccines.

Objective To investigate the effect of psychological stress on serum iron concentration of SD rats and its mechanism. Method SD rats were randomly divided into four groups: control group (CG), psychological stress 1w group (PG 1w) and 2w group (PG-2w), and psychological stress 2w with 1w free group (PG 2w-1w). The animal model of stress was tested for 1w, 2w, and 2w with 1w free from stress. The iron concentration of serum, liver, spleen and the expression of liver hepcidin were detected by atomic absorption spectrometry and Western blot respectively. Result (1) Compared with control group, serum iron concentration of rats under stress decreased. (2) Free of psychological stress 1w later, serum iron concentration was not significantly changed. (3) Iron concentration of liver and spleen was increased significantly compared with control group, and the expression of liver hepcidin was also increased. Conclusion Psychological stress may cause serum iron of rats to decrease obviously, and it was restored after 1w free from psychological stress. The mechanism is supposed to be increase of iron storage in liver and spleen by hepcidin in rats under psychological stress.

Objective To build a simulation model for outpatients queuing, using data from a general outpatient cardiovascular clinic of a general hospital in Shanghai and different rules in the process. The study employs time-interval controlled mode for appointment registration, for the purpose of analyzing characteristics of different queues. Methods Extraction of data of the clinic in a given month by means of HIS system to determine the parameters of the queuing models.Building the simulation model with Matlab to develop the plan of mixed queues and that of discrete queues, for analyzing the waiting time variations, with different number of doctors on duty and different number of appointments in one time interval.Resnlts In the Monday mornings for example, the mean waiting time of appointments or no-appointments are calculated by simulation with different queuing rules, different number of doctors on duty and different appointment quantities of one time interval. Conclusion The mean waiting times of appointments and no-appointments can be both sizably cut short by means of time-interval controlled appointment; different queuing plans are recommended for different departments; the simulation model should be further verified and optimized in practice.

Objective To investigate the protective effects of midazolam on noise-induced hearing loss in guinea pigs by testing reactive oxygen species (ROS) level in the cochlea and plasma SOD and MDA. Methods Totally forty male pigmented guinea pigs were randomly divided into four groups: control (C) , midazolam (M), normal saline (S) and noise-induced deafened (D) groups, with ten guinea pigs in each. Groups M, S and D were exposed to a continuous noise (4kHz , octave band, 100dB SPL) 3h every day for 3 consecutive days. Group M was treated with midazolam, which was administered intramuscularly (0.1mg/kg) 24h before noise exposure, and immediately upon and during noise exposure. Group S was exposed to noise and treated with the same volume of normal saline intramuscularly, the time of injection was the same as that of Group M. Group C was not exposed to noise, but was treated with midazolam intramuscularly, the time of injection and the dosage were the same as those of Group M. Group S was exposed to noise and treated with normal saline intramuscularly ,the time of injection was same with that of Group M.Group D was exposed to noise only. All animals received auditory brainstem response (ABR) threshold recording before and immediately after noise exposure. Blood was collected when the guinea pigs were killed after the last ABR threshold recording, and serum SOD activity and MDA content were detected. Both the cochleae were removed and prepared for ROS assay. Results After noise exposure, ABR threshold shift (1.6±1.5) and ROS content [(291.10±2.30)u/mL] in Group M were significantly lower than those in Groups S and D [41.7±3.3, 44.3±3.9; (348.52±3.60)u/mL, (315.56±6.70)u/mL, P<0.05]. Serum SOD activity and MDA content were significantly increased in Group M, but the amplitude was less than that in Groups S and D.Conclusion Midazolam can prevent noise-induced hearing loss by reducing the increased ROS level in the cochlea after noise exposure.
