Objective To explore the clinical significance of the footprints and lateral X-rays in weight loading in evaluating the rehabilitation of talipes valgus in the children with cerebral palsy.Methods One hundred footprints of 56 children who were cerebral palsy with talipes valgus in the hospital-community-family-based rehabilitation mode were divided into light,middle and heavy types,and they were counted with two footprint-based approaches,and the two approaches were compared with chi-square criterion,and the dependability on consequence of the footprint and lateral X-rays in weight loading were analyzed.Results One hundred feet evaluated by the method of footprint were flatfeet radically,and the occurrence of flatfoot evaluated by three define lines were 11,57,32,respectively,and evaluated by footprint ratio were 6,7,87,respectively,but the degrees were different with two footprint-based approaches.There was a close correlation between two footprint-based approaches and lateral X-rays in weight loading.Conclusions Flat foot caused by talipes valgus can be evaluated by footprint in static state,while the development of bones of foot and the constitution of instep can be monitored on the lateral X-rays in weight loading.

Objective To evaluate the risk factors for carotid atherosclerosis in patients with cerebral infarction.Methods A total of 180 patients with cerebral infarction were divided into no-plaque group (38cases) and plaque group (142 cases) on the results of Color ultrasonography.Plaque group was further divided into stable plaque subgroup (46 patients) and no-stable plaque subgroup (96 patients).Total cholesterol (TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),triglyceride (TG),fibrinogen (FIB) and oxidized low density lipoprotein cholesterol (OXLDL) were recorded.The risk factors for carotid atherosclerosis in patients with cerebral infarction were analyzed.Results The percentage of hypertension,diabetes,stroke history,smoking were 88.7％(126/142),43.7％(62/142),53.5％(76/142),50.7％ (72/142) in plaque group and 52.6％(20/38),21.1％(8/38),31.6％(12/38),13.2％(5/38) in no-plaque group.The percentage of hypertension,diabetes,stroke history,smoking in plaque group were higher than those in no-plaque group,and there were significant differences (P ＜ 0.05).The age,TC,LDL-C,OXLDL,FIB were (65 ± 10) years old,(5.3 ±0.8) mmol/L,(3.4 ±0.8) mmol/L,(0.75 ±0.34) mmol/L,(4.8 ± 1.1) g/L in plaque group,and (56 ± 7) years old,(4.6 ± 0.7) mmol/L,(2.8 ± 0.7) mmol/L,(0.45 ± 0.21) mmol/L,(3.8 ± 0.9) g/L in no-plaque group.The age,TC,LDL-C,OXLDL,FIB in plaque group were higher than those in no-plaque group,and there were significant differences (P ＜ 0.05).The percentage of diabetes,stroke history,smoking and LDL-C,OXLDL were 50.0％(48/96),62.5％(60/96),56.2％(54/96),(3.7 ± 0.9) mmol/L,(0.84 ± 0.36)mmol/L in no-stable plaque subgroup,and 30.4％(14/46),34.8％(16/46),39.1％(18/46),(3.1 ± 0.7) mmol/L,(0.60 ± 0.32) mmol/L in stable plaque subgroup.The percentage of diabetes,stroke history,smoking and LDL-C,OXLDL in no-stable plaque subgroup were higher than those in stable plaque subgroup,and there were significant differences (P ＜ 0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that LDL-C (OR =1.724,95％ CI 1.326-2.285),OXLDL (OR =2.464,95％ CI 1.502-5.676) and diabetes (OR =1.484,95％ CI 1.005-1.739) were the independent risk factors for carotid atherosclerosis in patients with cerebral infarction.Conclusion LDL-C,OXLDL and diabetes are the independent risk factors for carotid atherosclerosis in patients with cerebral infarction.

AlM: To explore clinical efficacy of hyperosmotic glucose after cataract surgery.METHODS: Eighty eyes ( 80 cases ) with ll level and above grades corneal edema after small incision cataract operation were enrolled. They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. Control group used TobraDex eye drops and other conventional treatment and the treatment group received hyperosmotic glucose(500g/L) with the bases of the control group. The regression of corneal edema was observed by slit lamp microscope. SPSS 17. 0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis.RESULTS: The level of corneal edema at the first day after surgery, age, sexuality and nuclear hardness in the treated group were compared with those in the control group, the differences were without significances ( P>0. 05). Disappearance time of corneal edema was 4. 95 ± 3. 62d of the treatment group, and was 6. 80±3. 33d of the control group, the treatment group was better than control group (t=8. 55, P=0. 00).CONCLUSlON: Hyperosmotic glucose has exact and obvious efficacy for early corneal edema after cataract surgery.

Objective To explore the correlation of rhinovirus infection and the morbidity of asthma in children.Methods The RV gene in nasopharyngeal secretion of 30 children with asthma acute exacerbation(asthma group),30 children in asthma clinical remission(remission group) and 30 healthy children (control group) were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).The total serum IgE(T-IgE) was determined by chemiluminescence.The eosinophil(EOS) count (EOS%) of peripheral blood and lung function were also measured.Results The rhinovirus infection rate was 36.67% in asthma group and 3.33% in remission group.No rhinovirus was detected in control group.The rate of rhinovirus infections in asthma group was significantly highter than that in remission group and control group(?2=7.50,13.47 Pa0.05). FEV1% was (62.73?13.54)% in asthma rhinovirus infection and (86.42?17.78)% masthma with no rhinovirus infection.There was remarkable difference between 2 groups(F=14.553 P﹤0.05). The T-IgE was (836.32?44.801) kU/L and EOS% was 10.63?4.09 in asthma group with rhinovirus infection.The total IgE was (439.10?231.28) kU/L and EOS% was 5.04?2.64 in asthma group with no rhinovirus infection.There was significant difference between 2 groups(U=2.475,F=20.806 Pa0.05).Conclusions There is a close correlation between rhinovirus infection and acute attack of asthma(or worsening asthma) in children. Objective:To study the inhibitory effect of allogeneic natural killer(NK) cells on subcutaneously transplanted human multi-drug resistant nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells(CNE2/DDP) in BALB/c nude mice.Methods:Human leucocyte antigen(HLA) genotypes of CNE2/DDP cells and the genotypes of inhibitory killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor(KIR) in NK cells(isolated from 3 healthy persons by immuno-magnetic microbead technique) were analyzed by PCR-SSP.Twelve BALB/c nude mice were evenly divided into 2 groups:the control group and the treatment group.Mice in the treatment group were injected subcutaneously with 1?106 CNE2/DDP cells together with 3?107 NK cells via the tail veins;mice in the control group were injected with 1?106 CNE2/DDP cells subcutaneously.The tumor formation time,tumor formation rate and changes of tumor size were observed.Three weeks after tumor formation,all the mice were killed and human NK cells in peripheral blood were analyzed by flow cytometry;the tumors were weighed and the tumor inhibitory rates were calculated.Results:The HLA genotypes of CNE2/DDPcells were A2,24,B18,35,Cw4,and 7;the KIR genotypes of the 3 healthy persons were KIR2DL1,KIR2DL3,KIR3DL1,and KIR3DL2.There were mismatches between the KIRs expressed in NK cells and HLA class Ⅰ molecules expressed in the CNE2/DDP cells.NK cells obviously inhibited the growth of CNE2/DDP xenograft in nude mice.The tumor formation periods of control group and NK cell group were(17.17?1.17) d and(24.83?1.47) d,respectively(P

Objective To explore the effect of sodium arsenite (iAs3+) and sodium hydrogen arseuate (iAs5+) exposure on rat multidrug resistance protein 2 (MRP2) expression,and the correlation of liver arsenic and its methylation products,and to provide a basis for further elucidating the mechanism of arsenic toxicity.Methods Seventy wistar rats were randomly divided into seven groups,10 rats in each group.Control group was administrated with deionized water.Sodiun arsenite high-dose group,middle-dose group,low-dose group were administrated with different concentrations of sodium arsenite:20.0,6.7 and 2.2 mg/kg BW every day,respectively.Animals were sacrificed 90 days later by cervical dislocation to collect liver,the expression of MRP2 in the membrane of hepatocyte was determined by Western blotting.HPLC-HGAFS was employed to determine the content or level of arsenic and its methylation products.Correlation between expression of MRP2 and arsenic methylation products was analyzed using Pearson's linear correlation method.Results The MRP2 protein levels of control group,iAs3+ and iAs5+ high-,middle-,low-dose groups were 1.21 ± 0.13,1.85 + 0.09,1.65 + 0.19,1.61 + 0.18,1.69 + 0.04,1.42 + 0.19,1.27 ± 0.10.Compared to control group,MRP2 protein levels of iAs3+ high-,middle-,low-dose group and iAs5+ high-dose group were increased (P ＜ 0.05); Compared with the low-dose group,MRP2 protein levels of iAs3+ and iAs5+ high dose groups were increased(P ＜ 0.05); Comparing the matched doses group of iAs5+ and iAs3+,MRP2 protein levels of iAs3+ high-,middle-,low-dose group were higher than iAs5+(P ＜ 0.05).Meanwhile,there was a significant positive relationship between the expression of MRP2 and the content of iAs3+,MMA and DMA in iAs3+ exposed group(r =0.575,0.678,0.395,all P ＜ 0.05).There was also a significant correlation between the expression of MRP2 and MMA and IMA in iAs5+ exposed group(r =0.593,0.643,all P ＜ 0.05).There was no significant relationship between the expression of MRP2 and the content of iAs5+in iAs5+ exposed group.Conclusions The expression of MRP2 is increased with increasing dose of arsenic exposure,thus resulting in compensatory changes on MRP2 expression in the liver cell membrane.MRP2 efflux may play an important role in the metabolic pathways of iAs3+.The level or load of arsenic methylation in liver is closely related with MRP2 expression.
