1.Tongue-image segmentation based on gray projection and threshold-adaptive method
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(9):1638-1641
BACKGROUND:Traditional Chinese medicine glossoscopy observes tongue image by vision, and to diagnose diseases by physicians'clinical experiences, which lacks of objective diagnostic methods and criteria;finally resulting in affecting the effectiveness of this diagnostic method. Therefore,it is necessary to realize quantitive and objective glossoscopy using techniques such as computer vision.Tongue body segmentation is the premise of the tongue image recognition diagnostic system. The quality of segmentation directly affects the sequent work.At present, there are many methods of tongue body segmentation, but obtained results cannot ensure the accuracy, and the anti-interference ability is poor.OBJECTIVE:To design a new method of tongue image segmentation, and effectively isolate tongue body.METHODS:According to tongue-images gray and color's features,a segmentation method of combining gray projection and threshold-adaptive way is presented in this paper.By this method, the intensity image of a colorful tongue-image is firstly projected at horizontal and vertical direction to locate the tongue-body area, and then threshold-adaptive way Otsu is used to segment the located area.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Tongue-body segmentation is the basis of automatic tongue-images analysis. The following 281 tongue-images segmentation experiments show the efficiency of this method.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(4):409-412
In the book of Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion by CHENG Dan-an, direct moxibustion with moxa cone was regarded as a classic style of moxibustion because of its innate character of heat induced thermal stimulus and burn toxin. CHENG Dan-an made the quantity of moxibustion more controllable through the selection of moxa wool, the size and number of moxa cones, and the tightness of moxa cones, etc. CHENG Dan-an 's clinical experience is summarized through treating stubborn and infectious diseases with direct moxibustion with moxa cone. The results showed that only with understanding the characteristics of moxibustion and key pathological mechanism of suitable disease could direct moxibustion with moxa cone and the appropriate methods be performed correctly. CHENG Dan-an confirmed the clinical effect of treating stubborn and intectious diseases with direct contact moxibustion with moxa cone, and optimized the specific operation scheme of direct moxibustion with moxa cone. It tell us that we should deeply study on moxibustion, to make it wide spread in the hereafter, bring benefit to mankind.

Herpesviruses is one of the most common human infectious diseases, which can be divided into different types based on clinical infection degree.Herpes simplex virus usually results in buccal and genital mucocutaneous infections, while cytomegalovirus is the most common opportunistic pathogen associated with significant morbidity and mortality in immunocompromised hosts, especially in transplant and cancer patients.Although nucleoside analogues are effective antiviral drugs, the emergence of drug-resistant viruses has created a barrier for the treatment of herpesviruses infections, especially in immunocompromised patients. Therefore, novel therapeutic agents are needed to avoid the limitations of drug resistance. In this article, research progress in the therapeutic agents for drug-resistant herpesviruses was reviewed from the aspects of non-nucleoside analogues, novel antiviral targets and newly antiviral mechanisms.

Objective To investigate the effect of salvia mihiorrhiza on spinal cord ischemia reperfusion injury after surgical treatment in patients with cervical canal stenosis. Methods Retrospective analysis of 64 cases had cervical canal stenosis in the last 5 years in our hospital. Sixty-four cases were randomly divided into the salvia mihiorrhiza group(31 cases)and the control group(33 cases). The therapeutic effect was assessed using JOA grade system. Results In the salvia mihiorrhiza group, the JOA average score was 8. 8 ±2. 6 before surgical treatment, after two weeks of surgical treatment it was 13. 7 ± 2. 4. The JOA improvement ratio was (61. 5 ± 2. 9) % . In the control group, the JOA average score was 9. 1 ±2. 2 before surgical treatment, after two weeks of surgical treatment it was 13. 4 ± 2. 3. The JOA improvement ratio was (60. 5 ± 2.2)% .The JOA improvement ratio in the salvia mihiorrhiza group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0. 05) . Conclusions Salvia mihiorrhiza has protective effect on spinal cord ischemia reperfusion injury.

Chinese Journal of Infectious Diseases 1997;0(04):-
Objective To screen proteins binding with interferon?(IFN?)from human hepatic cDNA libraty by yeast-two hybrid technique. Methods The IFN?gene was amplified by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and constructed into pGBKT7 vector as the bait plasmid in yeast-two hybrid system3,pGBKT7-IFN?was then transfected into yeast AH109.The transfected yeast were mated with yeast Y187 containing liver cDNA library plasmid in 2?YPDA medium.Diploid yeast was plated on synthetic dropout nutrient medium(SD/-Trp Leu-His-Ade)and synthetic dropout nutrient medium(SD/-Trp-Leu-His-Ade)containing X-?-gal for selecting. After plasmid extracting and en- zyme cutting analysis, the blue colonies were performed sequence analysis, the results were analyzed by bioinformatics. Results IFN?gene was successfully cloned and expressed in yeast cells.Thirty- four positive colonies were obtained using yeast-two hybrid technique. After sequence analysis, eight clones were found may have a binding effect with IFN protein. Conclusions IFN?genes was success- ful cloned and eight proteins that could bind with IFN?protein were also screened.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1994;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the protective effect of transection of cervical sympathetic trunk (TCST)on the fetal brain in rats with pregnancy-induced hypertension(PIH).Methods Thirty-two pregnant Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups(n=8 each):A control group;B PIH group;C TCST+PIH group and D sham operation+PIH group,PIH was produced by L-NAME 12.5 mg?100g~(-1) given subcutaneously from 14~(th)-20~(th) day of gestation. In group A normal saline was given instead of L-NAME.In group C TCST was performed on the 14~(th) day of gestation and L-NAME was injected asin group B.In group D the cervical sympathetic trunk was only exposed but not cut.Caesarean section was performed and fetus was taken on the 21~(st) day of gestation. The ultrastructure of fetal brain was examined. The content of ATP,ADP and AMP in the fetal brain and the Na~+-K~+-ATPase and Ca~(2+)-ATPase activity in neuronal plasmalemma were determined. Results The ultrastructure of the fetal brain was almost normal in group A and C,but was seriously damaged in group B and D.The ATP and adenylic acid content in the brain tissue and the Na~+-K~+-ATPase and Ca~(2+)-ATPase activity in neuronal plasmalemma were significantly lower in group B and D than in group A and C.Conclusion TCST has protective effect on the fetal brain in rats with PIH by improving energy supply and enhancing pump function of neuron.
