Objective To investigate the possibility of laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC) on porcelain gallbladder. Methods Twenty-four cases of porcelain gallbladder, who were operated in China Medical University, including 13 LC cases, from 2006 to 2008 were retrospectively reviewed. Results Of 24 porcelain gallbladder cases(0.48%) in 4964 cholecystectomy patients, calcification of gallbladder in 87.50%(21/24) patients was diagnosed by ultrasonography.Of 13 patients who were cured by LC,one suffered from postoperative leak bile,no metastasis were found by following up 12 or 14 months in two gallbladder carcinoma cases. Conclusion There's specificity of ultrasonographic image in porcelain gallbladder,in which LC is safe to be performed and routine frozen pathology during operation is necessary.

Objective To observe the expressions of stem cell factor(SCF) and macrophage colony-stimulating factor(M-CSF) in bronchoaveolar lavage fluid(BALF) of asthmatic mouse, and the effect of bacillus calmette-guerin(BCG) intervention on them. Methods Thirty Kunming rats were randomly divided into asthmatic group,BCG intervention group and control group, each group had 10 rats.Mice were sensitized and challenged with ovalbumin (OVA) to establish asthmatic model.Asthmatic mice were injected intradermally with BCG on 7,3,1 d before sensitization. After 24 h of last challenge,BALF were collected. The total cells and eosinophils(EOS) were counted in the BALF.The SCF and M-CSF levels of BALF were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results The number of total cells and EOS [(27.06?4.25)?107 L-1,(7.58?1.30)?107 L-1]in BALF in asthmatic mice were more than those in control group[(4.93?1.43)?107 L-1,0](Pa0.05).The M-CSF level also increased noticeably in asthmatic mice[(204.30?10.39) ng/L] compared with the control group[(181.33?8.63) ng/L](P

Objective To evaluate and analyze the postoperative complications induced from the procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids(PPH).Methods The data of the third or fourth degree hemorrhoids operated by pro- cedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids were analyzed. Results Total 224 patients with hemorrhoids were operated on by PPH,and the mean operative time was 25 minutes and mean postoperative hospital stay were 3.5 days.Postoper- ative bleeding requiring haemostatic procedures occurred in two patients.Urine retention rate was 30.36%,there were 56 eases pain scores>5,there of re-prolapse,16 cases of residual skin tags. One case of mucocele. Conclusion The rule of PPH is individual management.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(16):-
Objective To observe the expressions of the chemokine receptor CXCR3 and its ligand IFN-?-inducible protein-10(IP-10) in lung tissue of asthmatic model mice and to explore further the effect of dexamethasone(DEX)and bacillus Calmette-Guerin vaccine(BCG)on the expressions of CXCR3 and IP-10.Methods Forty Kunming mice were randomly divided into 4 groups:asthmatic group,DEX group,BCG group and control group,10 in each group.Mice were sensitized and challenged with ovalbumin (OVA) to establish asthmatic models.Ten mice in DEX group were administrated DEX (2 mg/kg) by abdomen injection 30 min before challenge (DEX group).Ten mice in BCG group were injected BCG(0.025 mg) intradermally 7,3,and 1 days before sensitization. The mice in control group mice were treated with 9 g/L saline instead of OVA.Mice of each group were executed 24 hours after the final challenge.Their lung tissue were paraffin embedded, sliced and stained by HE.The expressions of CXCR3 and IP-10 protein in lung tissue of mice were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results Distinct differences were discovered in the expressions of CXCR3(F=4.602 P=0.008) and IP-10(F=4.207 P=0.012) among the 4 groups. The expressions of CXCR3 and IP-10 in lung tissue of mice in asthmatic group were significantly higher than those in control group (Pa=0.002),while that in DEX group were significantly lower than that in asthmatic group (P=0.029,0.019).There were no significant difference between the BCG group and asthmatic group. Conclusions The chemokine receptor CXCR3 and its ligand IP-10 play an important roles in mechanisms in the pathogenesis of asthma.DEX and BCG can interfere the expressions of CXCR3 and IP-10 in varying degress.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the changes in the levels of monocarboxylate transporter-2 in spinal cord horn in a rat model of chronic inflammatory pain.
METHODSMale SD rats weighting 180 - 220 g were randomly divided into two groups(n = 48): normal saline group (NS group), complete Freund's adjuvant group (CFA group). Rats were given injections of CFA 100 µl in left hind paw in group CFA, and an equal volume of saline was given injection in group NS. Mechanical withdraw threshold(MWT) and thermal withdraw latency(TWL) were measured at before injection(T0 and 3 h, 1 d, 3 d, 7 d, 14 d, and 21 d after injection(T1-7). Four rats were chosen from each group at T0-7 and sacrificed, and L4-5 segments of the spinal cord horn were removed for measurement of the expression of monocarboxylate transporter-2 by Western blot analysis.
RESULTSIn CFA group, mechanical hyperalgesia and allodynia appeared on the 3 h after CFA injection, then until the day 14. The expression of monocarboxylate transporter-2 in the spinal dorsal horn of rats in CFA group was significantly higher than that in normal control group at T1-6(P <0.05). The protein level of monocarboxylate transporter-2 was apparently correlated with MWT and TWL(P <0.01 and P <0.05) in CFA group.
CONCLUSIONThe level of monocarboxylate transporter-2 in spinal dorsal horn is significantly increased in a rat model of chronic inflammatory pain and the change may involve in the formation and maintenance of central sensitization in spinal cord of chronic inflammatory uain.

The optimum medium for Lactobacillus M7 was systematically studied with SAS system. Firstly, the prime factors affecting lactic acid yield were selected by means of Plackett-Burman design; secondly, the pnme facias were optimized by response rurface analysis. Under the optimum level determined, the yield is increased by 15%.
