Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2010;33(21):1-3
Objective To discuss the relativity between serum procalcitonin(PCT) level and renal impairment (RI) in critically ill patients. Methods A perspective study was performed in 60 critically ill patients. They were divided into 2 groups on the serum PCT level within 24 h: abnormal group (PCT ≥ 0.5 μg/L,38 cases) and normal group(PCT < 0.5 μg/L,22 cases). The serum creatinine (SCr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) were observed. Acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ ) of the patients were recorded. Calculated the sensitivity and specificity for prediction of RI as well as acute renal dysfunction (ARD). Results SCr [(188.91 ± 199.48) μmol/L]and BUN [(13.03 ±9.19)mmol/L]in abnormal group were significantly higher than those in normal group [(67.40 ± 15.35) μ mol/L and (6.91 ± 2.06) mmol/L](P< 0.01). The sensitivity of PCT forecast RI was 71.79%, and specificity was 52.38%. The sensitivity of PCT forecast ARD was 91.67% , and negative predictive value was 95.45%. Conclusion Serum PCT level has an important value for judgement of RI and ARD in critically ill patients.
2.A Combined Optical Positioning Method Based on 1-D and 2-D Cameras.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(6):1310-1316
Optical positioning system has a wide range of application in many fields. This paper presents an optical positioning method which combines linear and plane cameras. 1-D image signal of linear camera is used to get 1-D coordinates of the targets, which can be processed quickly. We can use it to assist processing the 2-D image signals of plane camera under some constraints. Linear camera can reduce the amount of position searching and calculation in coordinates extracting of targets in 2D image, and it can also help identify multiple targets. The results showed that our method could reach an accuracy of 1.608 mm, which was about one thousandth of the measurable range, and the reconstruction time for 4 targets without geometric constraints is 23.87 ms, namely 41.9 fps.

Other mixed infection pattern was rare .Conclusion The most common pathogens causing ARI in children of Wuhan were MP ,FluB and RSV .The detection rate of each pathogen displayed specific seasonal variations and variations among different age groups . Mixed infections were more common than single infections ,and the most common pattern was MP+ FluB .
5.Unusual CT features of pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology 2010;26(2):272-274
Objective To investigate the unusual CT features of pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma (SH). Methods Clinical and CT features of 25 patients of pulmonary SH proved with pathology were reviewed, among which 15 patients underwent plain and enhanced CT scan, 10 underwent only plain CT scan. Results Solitary nodules (20/25, 80.00%) and solitary mass (5/25, 20.00%) were found with CT. CT features included slight lobulation (6/25, 24.00%), calcification (6/25, 24.00%), ground glass opacity (2/25, 8.00%), emphysema (1/25, 4.00%), endobrochial variant (1/25, 4.00%), short speculation (1/25, 4.00%) and vascular bundle (2/25, 8.00%). Slight or remarkable enhancement was noticed in all 15 patients underwent contrast enhanced CT. Conclusion CT can reveal features and unusual manifestations of pulmonary SH, and is helpful to the diagnosis of pulmonary SH.

Based on M9 culture medium, the concentration of ingredients of culture medium was optimized for the fermentation of pNSR32/BL21(DE3),the engineering bacterial with spider silk protein, and lactose as an inducer. The condition of optimum culture medium was obtained for the expression of the high molecular weight recombinant spider silk protein by using orthogonal and individual factor experimental design. The result was showed that the optimum culture medium was consisted of 0.3% glycerol,3% yeast,0.75% tryptone,0.05%(NH_4)_2SO_4 and a little inorganic salt_.It was confirmed that the optimum culture medium will benefit the growth of bacterial and expression of recombinant spider silk protein. The production level of propose protein will attain at 20% of the total proteins in the fermentation.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 2004;0(12):-
Proton pump inhibitor (PPI) is considered as the standard treatment for acid-related disorders. However, its long-term use, especially in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease, would cause potential risks, such as hypergastrinemia along with reduced gastric acidity, hyperplasia of enterochromaffin cells (ECL), gastric neoplasms, rebound gastric acid hypersecretion when PPI treatment is stopped, increased oxyntic gastritis in patients with H. pylori infection, and the possible stimulation of growth of non-gastric tumours due to hypergastrinaemia. Each of these trends has led to numerous studies and evaluations on the potential risk-benefit ratio of the long-term use of PPIs, and countermeasures are being proposed for these problems.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2000;0(12):-
Objective To evaluate the result of percutaneous transluminal stenting angioplasty(PTSA) to high degree stenosis of internal carotid artery. Methods PTSA was attempted in eight patients with high degree stenosis of internal carotid artery from January 1998 to October 1999. Three types of stent were used for the procedure. After proper preparation, we selected different type of stent and special procedure method according to the patient's lesion. Results Nine stents were implanted in eight internal coratid arteries of nine patients. All cases were successful based on post procedure image, and recovery from neurologic symptoms was satisfactory. Conclusion (1) PTSA is a safe and reliable procedure to treat high degree stenosis of internal carotid artery. (2) It is important to select the appropriate type of stent and the special method according to the individual situation.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of levothyroxine on the follicular helper T lymphocyte level of patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. METHODS:51 patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis were selected as levothyroxine group, and another 30 healthy people were control group. Levothyroxine group was orally given 25-50 ug Levothyroxine sodium tablet, once a day,the dose was adjusted based on thyroid function, and the dose maintained when thyroid function turned normal, for continuous 90 d. Free triiodothyronine(FT3),free thyroxine(FT4),thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)and the percentage of Th17 cells account-ed for peripheral blood CD4+ T cells(Th17/CD4+)in levothyroxine group before and after treatment were observed and compared with control group, the correlation of Th17/CD4+ and thyroid function. RESULTS:After treatment,Th17/CD4+ level in levothyrox-ine group were significantly lower than before and higher than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). TSH in levothyroxine group were significantly lower than before,FT3 and FT4 were significantly higher than before, the differenc-es were statistically significant(P<0.05);compared with control group, the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05). Th17/CD4+ showed positive correlation with thyroid function in levothyroxine group. CONCLUSIONS:Levothyroxine can signifi-cantly reduce the Th17/CD4+ and TSH,increase FT3 and FT4,and Th17/CD4+ is involved in the occurrence and progression of Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
