Objective To investigate the value of low positive AFP level for the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)when a space occuping lesion was already identified in the liver. Methods The AFP level of 401 HCC cases from January 1999 to October 2006 were retrospectively analyzed. Results 22 cases of small liver cancer underwent reducing surgical resection in our hospital, increasing the quality of life and prolonging survival rate.Con- clusion(1)The AFP level between 20 and 200?g/L is of diagnostic for HCC when a SOL is identified.(2)The clinical reference diagnostic criteria using AFP level more than 20?g/L,instead of more than 200?g/L is helpful for the diagnosis.(3)Combined diagnosis of AFP level more than 20?g/L and ultrasonography or CT scanning yields higher sensitivity and specificity th.an traditional, diagnostic criteria.

Objective To study immunological property of chimeric BPVL1 / HPV16 E7 virus-like particles (VLPs) in mice. Methods HPV16 E7 gene was cut into three fragments, ligated to BPVL1 sequence, respectively, and then expressed as chimeric VLPs. The ability of the chimeric VLPs to stimulate in vivo cytotoxic response was analysed with lymphocytes taken from mice C57BL/6J lymph nodes. Results A strong CTL response against C-2 cells (HPV16 E7 aa47-59 transfected EL-4 cell) was induced in mice immunised with chimeric VLPs BPVL1 / HPV16 E7(b). Furthermore, no CTL response was detected against EL-4 cells in immunized mice. Conclusions Chimeric BPVL1/HPV16 E7 VLPs, serving as antigens, can activate mouse T lymphocytes and elicit a strong antigen-specific CTL response. Chimeric BPVL1/HPV16 E7 VLPs could be used as an efficient antigen delivery system, and might provide a novel strategy for HPV16 vaccine design.

Objective To understand the sleeping time and the prevalence of sleep disturbances in children aged 3-12 years in Wuxi city. Methods Two thousand and three hundred seventy six children aged 3-12 years were investigated with questionnaires from June to September 2003.Results The average sleep time of 1 day in each age group was 11.61,10.91,10.68,10.27,9.81, 9.67,9.61,9.57,9.60,9.61 hours, respectively. The total prevalence of sleep disturbance was 25.5%. Among them, the sleep snoring prevalence was 7.8%; choke/gargling was 0.63%;mouth breathing was 6.6%;sleep apnea was 0.34%;rubbing teeth was 7.7%;sleep talking was 4.2%;somnambulate was 0.63%;enuresis was 1.4%;limber spasm was 3.2%;sleep inquietude was 6.2%。Conclusion Prevalence of sleep disturbance in children age 3-12 years was high and sleep time was shorter in Wuxi than that in other cities.

More than ten bacteriophage of E.coli were isolated from the soil and the dung of the fowl-run, then three of named bacteriophage A, C, D which lysis E.coli virulently were selected to investigate biological characterizations. The results showed that high activities were obtained after the phages incubated at 50℃ for 1 h or 60℃ for 30 min. The phages could be alive at the range of pH from 4 to 12, Ca 2+ or Mg 2+ added to the medium could stimulate the lysis of phages. However, the formation of the plaque could be inhibited obviously by adding sodium citrate to the medium.

In this paper 3 different media (A,for yeast cultivation ; B, for laccase producing; D, for white rot fungi cultivation) were compared in enriching and screening decolorizing fungi culture using Reactive Black 5 (RB5) and Reactive Red (M-3BE) from the following three points: decolorization effects, abilities of producing enzymes and diversity of microbial community. 11 groups of fungi with obvious decolorization effects were obtained after enrichment for near one month. Among them, 6 groups came from medium D, the other two 3 groups from medium A and B, respectively. However, the 3 groups from medium A exhibited the highest microbial diversity and best decolorization results with 99.53% and 97.42% color removal rate of Reactive Red M-3BE and Acid Red. From them, 16 strains of fungi were isolated and primarily identified as Saprolegniaceae, Eurotiaceae (Monascus went), Erysiphaceae and Physodermataceae. Fungi groups from medium B and D exhibited a bit lower color removal rate of various dyes and only 3 and 2 isolates primarily classified as Saccharomycetaceae and Eurotiaceae (Penicillium) were obtained from them. Fungi cultures in medium A and B could produce lignin peroxidase, and those in medium D could be detected higher activity of laccase. All the fungal cultures exhibited very weak activity of manganese dependant peroxidase.

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical manifestation, mechanism and optimal treatment of hydronephrosis after spinal cord injury. Methods58 slight and moderate cases were retrospectively analyzed. ResultsThere were no differences in the remitted time among the therapies of indwelling catheter, intermittent catheterization and medicine, mixed therapy. 56 (96.55%) SCI hydronephrosis remitted after treatment, 28(48.28%) recurred within 3 months. The recurrence rate of the patients with detrusor sphincter dyssynergia (57.14%) was higher than that of the detrusor hyperreflexia (28.57%) and the detrusor hyporeflexia (14.29%). The recurrence was associated with the fact that many patients couldn't keep up with the systematic therapy.ConclusionThe onset of SCI hydronephrosis is indistinct and recurrent easily. Keeping up with intermittent catheterization and taking medicine can prevent SCI hydronephrosis recurrence effectively.

Objective To expore the pulmonary function in children with connective tissue disease(CTD),and evaluate lung complication and prognosis of children with CTD.Methods Thirty-five children with CTD(male 16 cases, female 19 cases) who visited children′s hospital of Fudan university during Oct.2006 to Jul.2007 and had non-respiratory symptoms were selected. The pulmonary function of them were measured by Master-Screen Paed and the data were compared with 32 children as the healthy control group(male 13 cases, female 19 cases). The data were analyzed by STATA 7.0 software. Results The abnormality ratio of lung functions were 57.14%,17 cases(48.57%)children with CTD displayed restrictive ventilatory disorder,9 cases(25.71%)children with CTD displayed dropped function of small airway,2 cases(5.71%)children displayed dominant restrictive ventilatory disorder and coexisted with obstructive ventilatory disorder. The parameters of pulmonary ventilation such as maximal vital capacity, forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in 1 second,in CTD group were significantly lower than those in healthy control group[(77.66?20.22)% vs(94.39?11.27)%;(79.05?21.45)% vs(94.89?11.46)%;(84.91?23.29)% vs(103.62?12.96)% Pa0.05).Conclusions The most characteristic pulmonary function changes in children with connective tissue disease are restrictive ventilatory disorder with some disorder in small airway function.Pulmonary function test shall become routine test in children with connective tissue disease.

Organ Transplantation 2020;11(4):516-
In recent years, with the gradual improvement of people's understanding of intestinal flora, exploring common complications after renal transplantation from the perspective of intestinal flora has become a research hotspot. Studies have demonstrated that the composition of the intestinal flora in renal transplant recipients has significant differences before and after surgery, and this difference is closely related to the occurrence and development of many complications after renal transplantation such as infection, rejection, diarrhea and so on, which could affect the prognosis of the recipients. This article reviewed the research progress on intestinal flora and renal transplantation in order to provide new treatment ideas and strategies for renal transplant recipients.
