Objective To analyse the maternal and perinatal morbidity after 40 weeks and postdate pregnancy,and to research suitable time of labor induction. Methods Clinical data of 357 pregnant women after 40 weeks with normal menstrual period were analysed.They were divided into four groups according to the different weeks of gestation. Results There were no significant difference in the four groups for maternal and perinatal morbidity,the rate of spontaneons labor,the degree of cervical repine and the successful rate of labor induction.The successful rate of artificial rupture of membranes was higher in the groups with Bishop score ≥6(P

AIM: To investigate the effects of pretreatment of captopril on the infarct size and myocardial cell apoptosis in rabbits. METHODS: Rabbits were randomly divided into sham-operated control group (SO), acute infarct group (AI) and captopril pretreatment group (CP). The rabbits of CP group were treated with captopril (25 mg?kg -1 .d -1 ) for 1 week before harvest. The left circumflex branch of coronary (LCX) was ligated to develop acute ischemic model. The systolic and diastolic function of left ventricle(LV) was measured before and at 15, 30, 60 min after ligating LCX, and the blood viscosity and hematocrit before and at 60 min after ligating LCX were measured also. 6 hours later LCX ligation, the hearts were harvested for determining the infarction size, which was expressed as the ratio of infarct area to the total ischemic area, and evaluating apoptosis index expressed as the percentage of myocardial cells with TUNEL positive staining. Through scale-up cultivation of Eriobotrya japonica suspension cells using WAVE bioreactor, the cell growth and ursolic acid (UA) accumulation were studied. The comparison test was carried out in the flask and the reactor with cell dry weight (DW) and UA content as evaluation indexes. The culture medium, DW and UA content were compared in 1 L and 5 L working volumes of bioreactor. The orthogonal test with main actors of inoculation amount, speed and angle of rotation was developed to find the optimal combination, in 1 L working volume of bioreactor. DW of the cell growth and the UA content in bioreactor were higher than those of the shaker by 105.5% and 27.65% respectively. In bioreactor, the dynamic changes of elements in the fluid culture, the dry weight of the cell growth and the UA content in 1 L and 5 L working volumes were similar. Inoculation of 80 g, rotational speed of 26 r · min(-1), and angle of 6 ° was the optimal combination, and the cell biomass of 19.01 g · L(-1) and the UA content of 27.750 mg · g(-1) were achieved after 100 h cultivation in 1 L working volume of bioreactor. WAVE Bioreactor is more suitable than flasks for the E. japonica cell suspension culture, and culture parameters can be achieved from 1 L to 5 L amplification.

ObjectiveTo identify serum specific protein biomarkers for the early diagnosis of lymphoma patients by using surface enhanced laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (SELDI-TOF-MS)protein chip array.MethodsSELDI-TOF-MS technique and weak cation exchanger (WCX2)protein chip were used to detect the serum proteomic patterns of 96 patients with lymphoma (86 patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and 10 patients with Hodgkin lymphoma)and 30 normal control.The serum level of LDH were measured by biochemical methods,the serum level of β2-MG and CA125 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).ResultsFour protein peaks pattern mass/charge ratio (M/Z) 6880,8564,8692 and 13751 were decreased in lymphoma patients,and they could be used to distinguish lymphoma from healthy people and other malignant tumors.Their sensitivity and specificity were 82.29 ％ and 80.00 ％,78.13 ％ and 73.30 ％,75.00 ％ and 80.00 ％,71.88 ％ and 83.30 ％ respectively in lymphoma patients.When it was used to early diagnosing lymphoma in stage Ⅰ or Ⅱ,the sensitivity of four protein peaks pattern (M/Z 6880,8564,8692 and 13 751) were 77.55 ％,71.43 ％,71.43 ％ and 67.35 ％respectively and the specificity of all four protein peaks pattern were 100.00 ％.Four protein peaks pattern sensitivity were higher than LDH,CA125 and β2-MG respectively.ConclusionApplication of SELDI-TOF-MS can be of great potential for the early diagnosis of lymphoma patients.

To provide accurate information on geographic distribution of crude drug Sailonggu in the plateau, we identified zokor species (Eospalax spp.) in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau using molecular methods. Based on the mitochondrial cytochrome B (cytb) gene sequences, we then extracted haplotypes from these sequences and reconstructed phylogenetic trees for the haplotypes using both maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian inference (BI) methods. Based on the trees, the species of each sample were determined. Five hundred and three samples from 35 populations were sequenced and their whole cytb sequences (1140 bp) were obtained. From these sequences 150 haplotypes were detected, in which, 126 were Eospalax baileyi, 20 were E. cansus, and 4 were E. smithi of the 35 populations, 28 were E. baileyi type, 5 were E. cansus type, and the remaining 2 were mixed of E. baileyi + E. cansus (DT2) and E. baileyi + E. smithi (ZN3). The results showed that, the regions around the Qinghai lake and near the upper stream of Yellow River started at Guide could be viewed as the producing area of authentic Sailonggu, and also, the cytb gene is a powerful molecular marker to determine the species of zokors as well as for the authentication of geographic distribution of Sailonggu.

Objective To explore the relationship between the endemic arsenism and the liver,renal damage.Methods Some permanent residents were selected as investigated subjects who lived at 3 villages in Datong in Shanxi Province,an arseniasis-endemic areas,These objects were divided into arsenic poisoning and control group on the basis of Diagnosis Standard for Endemic Arsenism(WS/T 211-2001).Then blood and urine samples were collected in the surveyed people.Serum glutamate pyruvic transaminase(ALT)were detected by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay as the indicator of the impaired hepatic function.The microdosis albumen (mAlb)and acetylglucosaminidase(NAG)in urine were detected by end-point method and alkaline picric acid as the renal damage indicators.Results A total of 661 people investigated,of which 144 cases were arsenic poisoning patients.The rates of abnormal liver function were significant hisher in arsenic poisoning group[10.42% (15/144)]than that in control[5.22%(27/517)],and both wag significant[X2=5.107,P＜0.05;OR=2.11,95%CI (1.09-4.08)].The geometric mean of mAlb/Ucr was 2.16 mg/g Cr in control,and 2.31 mg/g Cr in arsenic poisoning group,and both was not significant(t=-1.71,P＞0.05).The geometric mean of NAG waft higher in arsenic poisoning group(2.43 U/g Cr)than that in the control(2.22 U/g Cr),and both was significant(t=-3.55, P＜0.05).Conclusions The damage of the liver and renal function were related with endemic arsenism,and NAG is the early indicators suggesting impaired renal function due to endemic arsenism.
