Objective To explorethe relationship between serum uric acid (SUA ) and transcutaneousoxygenpressure(TcPO2)inpatientswithT2DM.Methods 622hospitalizedpatients with T2DM were recruited and divided into high SUA (HUA) group and normal SUA (T2DM) group.The differences in TcPO2 (initial value ,stable value ,initial value‐stable value ,leg‐raising initial value and leg‐raising maximum value)were compared between two groups.The correlations between SUA and TcPO2 were evaluated. Results The levels of TcPO2 were lower in HUA group than in T2DM group [initial value:left (34.05 ± 13.17) vs (39.26 ± 15.82) ,right (34.71 ± 14.90) vs (40.15 ± 16.23);stable value:left (38.93 ± 12.23) vs(45.19 ± 13.40) ,right (39.98 ± 12.34) vs (45.90 ± 16.77) ,P<0.05]. Pearson correlation analysis showed that the SUA levels negatively related with the stable TcPO2 value of leftor right side ,and with the change between the initial value and the stable value of TcPO2 (P<0.05 or P<0.01). The multiple linear regression analysis showed that SUA level was the impact factorof the left TcPO2 stable value. Conclusion HUA may be one of the risk factors microcirculation disorder in T2DM patients.

Objective To investigate clinical phenotype and the characteristics of gene mutation of patients with spinocercbellar ataxia type 2 and type 3.Methods The trinucleotide repeat mutations were detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR),fluorescence-PCR and capillary electrophoresis in 9 patients and 43 members from 4 spinocerebellar ataxia families,1 sporadic patients,and 60 normal controls without family history.Results Six patients from 3 families and one sporadic patient had SCA3/MJD (CAG) n expansion mutation(n=68-75) ;Three patients from 1 family had SCA2 allele expansion for 37-41 times. Some of clinical menifestations were same among patients with type 2 or 3,while they showed significant difference in age of onset ,disease devetopment and nervous system injury.Conclusion The difference of clinical feature helps to distinguish SCA3/MJD and SCA2,however genotype analysis is the only method of definite diagnosis.

Purpose To clarify the morphological parameter and describe the distance from the insertion of the lateral ankle ligaments to the adjacent bony landmarks through precisely anatomical explore of human cadaveric ankles,so as to provide anatomical evidences for the reconstruction of lateral ankle ligaments.Methods Nineteen ankle specimens were dissected to isolate the lateral ankle ligaments and measure the morphological parameters such as length,width,thickness and the distance from the insertion of the lateral ankle ligaments to the adjacent bony landmarks.Results The average length of anterior talofibular ligaments (ATFL) was 23.1 ± 2.98 mm,among which 8 were single-banded(42.1％)and 11 were double-banded(57.9％).The average distance from the fibular origination of ATFL to the anterior tubercle of fibula(AA)was 17.1 ± 3.00 mm,to the fibular obscure tubercle(AO)was 5.1 ± 1.69 mm,to the tip of the fibula(AT)was 14.1 ± 2.86 mm.The distances from the talus insertion of ATFL to the superior and inferior talus articular surface were 11.4 ± 2.25 mm and 18.4 ± 2.30 mm respectively,to the anterior lateral talus chondral surface was 4.8 ± 1.42 mm.The average length of calcaneofibular ligament(CFL)was 31.4 ± 3.55 mm.The average distance of the fibular origination from ATFL to CFL was 6.4 ± 2.55 mm.The average angle between ATFL and CFL was 116.6 ± 12.69°.The distance from the calcaneus insertion of CFL to the peroneal tubercle(CP)was 15.4 ± 2.86 mm,to the posterior superior border of calcaneus(CC)was 13.9 ± 2.46 mm,to the subtalar joint surface was 15.2 ± 3.21 mm.The coefficient variation assessing the anatomical reliability of different bony landmarks were as follows:ATFL fibular origination AA(17.54％) ＜AT(20.28％) ＜ AO(33.14％),CFL calcaneus insertion CC(17.70％)＜CP(18.57％)＜CS(21.1％).Conclusion Certain variations exist in the morphological parameters and the distances from the insertion of the lateral ankle ligaments to the adjacent bony landmarks.It provides anatomical evidence for lateral ankle ligament reconstruction in treating chronic ankle instability.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the changes in the levels of monocarboxylate transporter-2 in spinal cord horn in a rat model of chronic inflammatory pain.

METHODSMale SD rats weighting 180 - 220 g were randomly divided into two groups(n = 48): normal saline group (NS group), complete Freund's adjuvant group (CFA group). Rats were given injections of CFA 100 µl in left hind paw in group CFA, and an equal volume of saline was given injection in group NS. Mechanical withdraw threshold(MWT) and thermal withdraw latency(TWL) were measured at before injection(T0 and 3 h, 1 d, 3 d, 7 d, 14 d, and 21 d after injection(T1-7). Four rats were chosen from each group at T0-7 and sacrificed, and L4-5 segments of the spinal cord horn were removed for measurement of the expression of monocarboxylate transporter-2 by Western blot analysis.

RESULTSIn CFA group, mechanical hyperalgesia and allodynia appeared on the 3 h after CFA injection, then until the day 14. The expression of monocarboxylate transporter-2 in the spinal dorsal horn of rats in CFA group was significantly higher than that in normal control group at T1-6(P <0.05). The protein level of monocarboxylate transporter-2 was apparently correlated with MWT and TWL(P <0.01 and P <0.05) in CFA group.

CONCLUSIONThe level of monocarboxylate transporter-2 in spinal dorsal horn is significantly increased in a rat model of chronic inflammatory pain and the change may involve in the formation and maintenance of central sensitization in spinal cord of chronic inflammatory uain.

Objective To analyze the influencing factors of having clinical meaningful recanalization (CMR)after revascularization therapy in acute phase of ischemic stroke. Methods A total of 267 consecutive patients with ischemic stroke admitted to the Department of Neurology,Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University and received intravenous thrombolysis or endovascular intervention in acute stage from March 2011 and March 2015 were enrolled retrospectively. CMR was used as a primary endpoint event. They were divided into either a CMR group (n = 92)or a non-CMR group (n = 175)according to whether they had CMR. The baseline data of the patients in both groups were compared by using the Rank sum test and Pearson Chi-Square test. A multivariate logistic regression model was established to analyze the independent influencing factor of CMR. Results The median (interquartile range)age of 267 patents was 60 (51 -69)years,and 69 of them were females (25. 8%);the median (interquartile range)time from onset to treatment was 250 (195 -305)min,and the median (interquartile range)NIHSS score was 10 (6 -15). The baseline NIHSS score,body mass index,blood glucose level,and proportion of diabetes of the CMR group were significantly lower than those of the non-CMR group (all P≤0. 05). The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the baseline NIHSS (OR,0. 93,95% CI 0. 88 -0. 98;P = 0. 01),intravenous thrombolysis (with respect to endovascular intervention)(OR,0. 35, 95% CI 0. 17 -0. 73;P = 0. 01),and baseline blood glucose (OR,0. 87;95% CI 0. 77 -0. 98;P =0. 02)were the independent negative predictors of CMR. Conclusion The baseline NIHSS,intravenous thrombolysis (with respect to endovascular intervention),and high blood glucose are the negative influencing factors for achieving CMR in the acute phase of ischemic stroke,suggesting blood sugar intervention and endovascular intervention in acute phase may contribute to the improvement of clinical prognosis.

Objective To find out the distribution characteristics of drinking water with high arsenic in Dali Prefecture, Yunnan. Methods General investigation plus sampling survey was adopted in the city of Dali and 11 counties. The arsenic content in water was tested by half-quantitative fast reagent-box method. The water samples exceeding the standard(≥0.03 mg/L) were re-tested by silver diethyldithiocarbamate eolorimetric method or mercury-atomic fluorescence spectrometric method. Population and children exposed by high-arsenic were statistically analyzed. Results Arsenic content in 15 180 samples from 2639 villages are screened, of which 14 976 samples were less than 0.01 mg/L, reaching 98.66% (14 976/15 180); 110 samples was no less than 0.05 mg/L, only accounting for 0.72%(110/15 180). Water sources with excessive arsenic was found in 29 villages, in a percentage of 1.1% of all covered villages(29/2639). The samples were constituted of 10 399 portions of well water(well was less than 10 m deep), 3903 from spring, 93 from river water, 69 from hot spring water, 26 from reservoir water and 690 from surface water. And for the samples which arsenic content were ≥0.05 mg/L, 89 samples(0.86%, 89/10 399) were from well water, 15 from spring water(0.38%, 15/3903) and 6 from spring water(8.70%, 6/69). A total of 1 561 553 individuals were investigated, in a percentage of 67.83%(1 561 553/2 302 156) of the whole population, among those 420 513 were children, rating 26.93% of the investigated population(420 513/1 561 553); 27 865 were exposed to arsenic, accounting for 1.78% of the investigated population 27 865/1 561 553; 8993 children were exposed, rating 2.14% of the investigated population(8993/420 513). Conclusions There exists high-arsenic water resources in Dali Prefecture, Yunan, so the local inhabitants are in the danger of high-arsenic exposure. Urgent attention shall be paid for the endemic arsenic including investigation, prevention and control.
