Objective It describes procedures for designing an analyzing a method comparison experiment for serum albumin(ALB) assay and determining the relative bias between two methods using split patient samples.Method According to the procedure described by the NCCL approved guideline: method comparison and bias estimation using patient samples; 40 patient samples were analyzed in 5 operating days, analyze each patient sample in duplicate using both BCG and BCP method. The duplicates were assessed for each method within the same run. The coefficient of correlation was calculated as well as the bia between the methods. Results In the patient′s serum sample, the bias between BCG and BCP methods were 1.8% at 50g/L or 5.5% at 40 g/L or 11.6% at 30 g/L for albumin. In the commercial quality control serum products, the bias between the two methods varied up to 36%.Conclusion In determination of the patient′s ALB, the bias between BCG and BCP goes up when the concentration of ALB is decreased. But the bias between the two methods varies up to 36% when the quality control serum is determined.

Objective To observe and evaluate the clinical effect of Dentium planting system by once procedure. Methods A total of 45 patients who had 55 Dentium implants implanted were followed up for one year. Permanent restorations were finished 12 weeks after once procedure.Clinical effects were evaluated through clinical and imaging examination. Results Through the 55 Dentium implants of 45 patients, the success rate was 100%.All patients were satisfied with aesthetics and occlusal function. Conclusion Dentium implant completed by once procedure is safe and reliable with once procedure on clinical application. Both the survival rate and successful rate of implants were 100%.High degree of satisfaction from patients was achieved. Both bone tissue and soft tissue are well preserved. This system can obviously reduce bone resorption and improve aesthetic effect.

Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the radiation dose caused by 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) in PET/CT examination and to optimize the concerned radiation protection. Methods Thirty patients from our conventional PET/CT examination were simple randomly selected, and they all underwent whole body PET/CT imaging. The radioactive dose of injected 18F-FDG was recorded. The internal radiation dose was calculated and the external radiation dose from patients was measured with the 451P-DE-SI ion chamber survey meter. The staff's dose was recorded with thermoluminescent detector (TLD). All dosimetry data were processed and analyzed statistically with Excel 2003. Results The injected radioactive dose of 18F-FDG was (432.9±51.8) MBq, and effective dose equivalent received per patient was (8.23±0.99) roSy. The correlation coefficient (r) of the dose equivalent rate and distance was-0.994 by power function curve fitting, and that of dose equivalent rate and time was - 0.988 by exponential curve fitting. The staff's dose was lower than the annual dose limit. Conclusions The patient's internal radiation dose caused by 18F-FDG in PET/CT examination is low, nonetheless, the clinician should always consider optimizing and minimizing the necessary radiation received by the patients. The patients having been injected with 18F-FDG should stay in one place to decrease their radiation to the public. From the medical point of view in optimizing radiation exposure, there may still be a potential to lower the injected 18F-FDG activity.

MicroRNA(miRNA) is a class of non-coding RNA that plays an important role in gene expression and controlling. In recent years, the role of miRNA in the development of the disease has aroused great interest. Abnormal osteoclastogenesis and persistent inflammatory response induced by wear particles or osteoblast differentiation and maturation is the main cause of aseptic loosening in joint replacements. New researches shows that persistent inflammatory response, osteoclastogenesis and osteoblast differentiation are closely associated with miRNA, suggesting that there are certain relations between miRNA and aseptic loosening of prostheses. Additionally, the alteration of the expression levels of some miRNA may be curative for aseptic loosening. With the findings of the new miRNA targets, the important role of miRNA is further confirmed.
