?-Synuclein (?-SYN ) .previously identified as a breast cancer specific gene, has a wildly tumor expression profile mainly in advanced stage. As a special chaperone,?- SYN stimulates the proliferation and metastasis of tumor cells through interacting with estrogen receptor and (or) BubR1. Meanwhile, it is also detectable in the serum or urine from tumor patients, which indicates that?- SYN could be potential as a tumor marker for diagnosis and prognosis.

Objective To evaluate and analyze the postoperative complications induced from the procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids(PPH).Methods The data of the third or fourth degree hemorrhoids operated by pro- cedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids were analyzed.Results Total 224 patients with hemorrhoids were operated on by PPH,and the mean operative time was 25 minutes and mean postoperative hospital stay were 3.5 days.Postoper- ative bleeding requiring haemostatic procedures occurred in two patients.Urine retention rate was 30.36%,there were 56 eases pain scores＞5,there of re-prolapse,16 cases of residual skin tags.One case of mucocele.Conclusion The rule of PPH is individual management.

Objective To investigate the status and influential factors of mental health of Pakistani and Bangladeshi peacekeeping forces in Liberia.Methods By random sampling,300peacekeeping officers and soldiers dispatched from Pakistan and Bangladesh(150 each)in Liberia were investigated with Chinese Military Mental Health Scale(CMMHS),Military Mental Maladjustment Scale(MMMS) and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),and they were carried out for two times on the 7th day and the 120th day after arrival in peacekeeping mission area.Results The total score and each factor score of CMMHS(except for obsessive-compulsive,anxiety and interpersonal sensitivity)and the total score of MMMS of the peacekeepers at the 7th day after their arrival in mission area were significantly higher than those at the 120th day(P

Three human leucine-rich repeats and immunoglobulin-like domains (LRIG) genes and proteins, named LRIG1-3, has been previously characterized and it was proposed that they may act as suppressors of tumor growth. The LRIG1 protein can inhibit the growth of tumors of glial cells and the down-regulation of the LRIG1 gene may be involved in the development and progression of the tumor. Real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) is a recently developed technique for quantitative assessment of specific RNA levels. In the current study, it was demonstrated that LRIG1-3 and EGFR mRNA was detected in human pituitary adenoma cell lines and a normal pituitary sample, with differences in the expression levels. Compared to the normal pituitary samples, the expression of LRIG1-3 in HP75 cell line was lower, but the expression of EGFR in HP75 cell line was higher. The results are consistent with LRIG1-3 being tumour suppressor genes, and LRIG genes decreasing the expression of EGFR. The ratio of EGFR/LRIG1 was increased at least 13-fold in HP75 cells compared with the normal pituitary cells, which was also the case for the ratio of EGFR/LRIG2 (14-fold increase in HP75) and EGFR/LRIG3 (11-fold increase in HP75). Further studies were needed to elucidate the explicit role of LRIG genes as negative regulators of oncogenesis in human pituitary adenoma.

Objective: To investigate the willingness to receive a COVID-19 vaccination and its influencing factors among individuals that missed the second dose of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine in Zhejiang Province, so as to provide the evidence for improving the strategy for COVID-19 vaccination. Methods: Individuals that did not receive the second dose of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine after 56 days of getting the first dose (missed individuals) from March and May, 2021, were randomly sampled from Zhejiang Provincial SaaS Vaccination Information System. Their basic information, status of getting the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine and willingness to receive the second dose of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine were collected through telephone interviews. The factors affecting the willingness to receive the second dose of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine were identified among the missed individuals using a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: Totally 562 individuals were investigated, and there were 292 (51.96%) valid respondents. There were 54 actual missed individuals, with a mean age of (40.91±16.75) years, which included 39 men (72.22%) and 15 women (27.78%). Of all missed individuals, 23 had an educational level of junior high school and below (42.59%). The mean duration from the time of investigation to the time of getting the first dose of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine was (137±28) days. A half of the missed individuals were willing to receive the second dose of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed high willingness to receive the second dose of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine among the missed individuals with requirements of vaccination in the workplace (OR=5.393, 95%CI: 1.112-26.152) and low willingness among the missed individuals that felt physical discomfort after receiving the first dose (OR=0.168, 95%CI: 0.035-0.806). Conclusions The willingness to receive the second dose of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine was low among the missed individuals, and high willingness is seen among the missed individuals with requirements of vaccination in the workplace and without physical discomfort after receiving the first dose of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine.
