1.Zweymüller spiral acetabular prosthesis for treating developmental dysplasia of the hip in adults
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(39):6274-6280
BACKGROUND:Spiral acetabular prosthesis has good stability during total hip arthroplasty.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the early therapeutic effect of Zweymüler spiral acetabular prosthesis in total hip arthroplasty for patients with developmental dysplasia of the hip.
METHODS:Totaly 38 patients (48 hips) with developmental dysplasia of the hip received total hip arthroplasty with Zweymüler spiral acetabular prosthesis from January 2011 to June 2013 were selected. The clinical effect was observed after the operation.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A total of 38 patients were folowed up for 21-46 months (averagely 42.3 months). One case suffered from deep venous thrombosis. Harris scores and Charnely scores apparently increased after surgery compared with that before surgery. The mean length of the osteotomy was 2.42±0.48 cm, and the mean extended length of the affected limb was 4.58±1.15 cm. X-ray films showed that there was no disunion of the osteotomy, no subsidence and loosening of prosthesis. The position of the acetabulum was suitable. The healing time of bone graft was 3-11 months (averagely 5.3 months). The coverage of the acetabular component was 92.5%, with a good initial stability, and the excelent rate of the operation was 90%. The satisfaction rate of patients was 84%. These results indicate that the Zweymüler spiral acetabular prosthesis has the advantages of reasonable design, good initial stability, low loosening rate and high satisfaction degree. However, the number of cases of this study was relatively smal, the folow-up time was short, and only the short-term effect was evaluated. Thus, the midterm and long-term effects need to be observed by the folow-up evaluation.

Abstract? AIM: Through the establishment of penetrating keratoplasty model of rats, to detect the role and its mechanism of immature dendritic cells with IL-10 gene modified.? METHODS: Allogeneic penetrating corneal transplantation in rat model was performed. SD rats were randomly divided into positive control group, GFP-DC group, 8-DC and IL-10-GFP-DC group. At 3d before keratoplasty, the rats were given tail intravenous injection with the same amount of PBS, bone marrow 8-DC ( DC had cultured for 8d ) from donor Wistar rats, GFP-DC after 48h transfection and IL-10-GFP-DC.Rats were observed under slit-lamp for corneal graft cases every day, and recorded rejection index and corneal graft survival time.At 14d after keratoplasty, pathologic and immunohistochemical examinations were performed.?RESULTS:Compared with GFP-DC group and 8-DC group, corneal graft survival time of IL-10-GFP-DC group was significantly longer ( P<0.01 ); at 14d after keratoplasty, corneal opacity, edema, neovascularization and rejection index of IL-10 -GFP-DC group were significantly lower (P<0.01).Pathological examination showed that in the three experimental groups corneal inflammation was lighter than the positive control group without significant central graft neovascularization. Immunohistochemistry showed: compared to the positive control group, GFP-DC group and 8-DC group, CD4+, CD8+, CD25+, IL-2+, NK+and NF-κB+positive cells in IL-10-GFP-DC group were lower(P<0.01).? CONCLUSION: After donor -derived immature dendritic cells pretreated, corneal graft survival was significantly prolonged, successfully induced corneal transplantation tolerance. CD4+, CD8+, CD25+, IL-2+, NK+and NF-κB+positive cells are involved in corneal allograft rejection regulation, IL-10-GFP-DC may reduce CD4+, CD8+, CD25+, IL-2+, NK+and NF-κB+positive cell infiltration, inhibit corneal transplant rejection.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(11):1127-1130
With new acupuncture and moxibustion as the study object, based on the basic composition of acupuncture-moxibustion theory, from 3 aspects of meridian-acupoint theory, acupuncture-moxibustion method theory and acupuncture-moxibustion treatment theory, under the background of western medicine, ZHU Lian's different opinions on theory and method of acupuncture and moxibustion were discussed. It was believed by ZHU Lian that the distribution of 14-meridians was approximately identical to that of nerves, so with modern neuroanatomy knowledge to understand the meaning of acupoint; the acupuncture function could be explained from the angle of neurophysiology. Clinical diagnosis and treatment method could be established by modern classification methods of diseases. ZHU Lian's cognition that was different from traditional theory and method of acupuncture and moxibustion was combined with updated physiology and anatomy knowledge at that time, and was involved with Pavlov's advanced nerve theory, so she firstly put forward the opinion that acupuncture therapy can't work without the involvement of cerebral cortex.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2009;17(5):1127-1129
PPP2R5C is one of the members of regulatory subunits of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), which plays a critical role in cell proliferation, differentiation and transformation, based on its induction of dephosphorylation of P53 at various residues. Recently, it was characterized that the alteration of expression pattern of PPP2R5C is associated with cell malignant transformation, thus PPP2R5C was thought as a marker for progressive disease in B-CLL. In this article the gene structure and biological function of PPP2R5C as well as relation of PPP2R5C with genesis and development of cancer were discussed.

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2010;43(12):853-857
Objective To investigate the cortex gray matter configuration in amnestic mild cognitive impairment(aMCI)patients using MRI technology, FMRIB software library(FSL)and Freesurfer software. Methods Twenty aMCI patients and 20 normal control subjects were recruited and studied. They were matched by age, sex and education. All the patients and healthy volunteers underwent MRI scan using SEMENTS trio 3.0 T MRI. The subtile three-dimensional brain images were obtained using high resolution scanning technique. The imaging data was processed and analyzed with FSL and Freesurfer software. The cortex gray matter density and thickness in different brain areas of aMCI patients and normal control subjects were calculated and compared using statistic analysis. Results Compared to that in the controls, cortex gray matter density in the aMCI patients showed remarkable decreases in left frontal lobe, temporal lobe, parietal lobe, and slight decrease in right thalamus, temporal lobe and island lobe; For cortex thickness,aMCI patients showed significant decreases in left anterior cingulate gyrus((2. 19 ±0. 24)mm), inferior parietal lobe((2. 27 ± 0. 15)mm), bilateral parahippocampal gyrus((2. 03 ± 0. 15),(2. 04 ±0. 17)mm), precentral gyrus((2. 20 ± 0. 11),(2. 31 ± 0. 19)mm), postcentral gyrus((1.88 ± 0. 11),(1.82 ± 0. 09)mm), superior frontal gyrus((2. 42 ± 0. 34),(2. 40 ± 0. 28)mm), middle frontal gyrus ((2.31±0.31),(2.33 ±0.29)mm), supramarginal gyrus((2.53 ±0.33),(2.55 ±0.23)mm),temporal pole((3.41 ±0.68),(3.30 ±0.56)mm)and transverse temporal gyrus((2.04 ±0. 12),(2. 01 ± 0. 11)mm; t = 2. 13-3.75, P < 0. 05), no significant changes in the other areas(t = 0. 09-1.88, P > 0. 05). Conclusions Our results suggest that there are significant changes in gray matter configuration in cortex of aMCl patients. The changes of cortical thickness is earlier than the changes of gray matter density.
