Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(4):252-255
Zinc-fingers and homeoboxes 2 (ZHX2) is a novel transcriptional repression factor participating in regulating the expression of alpha fetal protein (AFP). ZHX2 has been confirmed to be largely correlated with development and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and invasion of multiple myeloma.

Tianjin Medical Journal 2016;44(1):94-97
Objective To explore and evaluate the clinical value of MRI for status of axillary lymph node after neoadju-vant chemotherapy (NAC) in patients with breast cancer. Methods Forty-four patients with 1ocally advanced breast cancer (LABC) were underwent NAC for four cycles. The longest diameter of axillary lymph node (ALN) measured by MRI scan. Val-ue of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and their correlation were compared before NAC and four cycles after NAC. Re-sults of MRI and pathological data for ALN were compared between two groups of patients. Results All patients finished four cycles of NAC. The total response rate (CR+PR) was 72.7% (32/44), and the total non-response rate (SD+PD) was 27.3%(12/44). The longest diameter of ALN was significantly shortened in response group. The longest diameter was (1.37± 1.06) cm before NAC and (0.90±0.76) cm after NAC (P<0.01). The ADC value of the tumor was significantly increased in re-sponse group [(0.91±0.28) ×10-3 mm2/s before NAC and (1.01±0.32)×10-3 mm2/s after NAC, P<0.01)]. There was no signifi-cant correlation between ADC value change (△ADC) and the longest diameter change of ALN (△L, r=0.131, P=0.413). The sensitivity, specificity and Kappa value of ALN evaluation after NAC were 100%, 62.5%and 0.68 measured by MRI. Con-clusion The change of tumor longest diameter reflects the effect of chemotherapy directly. The tumor ADC value of MRI can not be used as an independent indicator of chemotherapy effect of ALN, eventhouth MRI was the sensitive index for eval-uating the status of axillary lymph node after neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer.

0.05). The 5-year survival rates were 77.4% in LS group and 75.7% in OS group for stage Ⅰ/Ⅱ (P=0.626), and 71.8% in LS group and 65.6% in OS group for stage Ⅲ(P=0.517), respectively. Conclusion: Long-term effect of laparoscopic resection is similar to that of open resection for colon cancer, but laparoscopic surgery has less long-term complications.

BACKGROUND: There are various treatment methods for femoral neck fracture in the elderly, and they have advantages and disadvantages, especially for the elderly type of stable femoral neck fractures Garden type II of treatment options. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the current main clinical methods of senile femoral neck fractures of Garden type II, compare the advantages and disadvantages of internal fixation and joint replacement, and provide the best treatment for orthopedic surgeons. METHODS: We retrieved PubMed database. Key words were elderly femoral neck fracture, Garden type II, selection strategy and progress. Combining with the clinical cases encountered in the comparative analysis, the relevant discussion was analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Although the risk of surgery and the pain of non-surgical patients in early stage, the effects are not ideal. Internal fixation of Garden type II femoral neck fracture and joint replacement in elderly patients is controversial. For the elderly and Garden type II femoral neck fractures, the rate of revision after cannulated screw fixation was significantly higher than that of hip replacement. Both cement-type and biological-type implant prosthesis can improve hip function largely, and reduce non-surgical complications, and finally get a satisfactory clinical effect. The clinician should make the best treatment plan according to the patient’s age, bone condition, fracture type and physical condition.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2010;32(3):217-218
After several thousand years of development,TCM has formed its own sets of research methods.such as observation, comparison, classification, trial and error, and deduction, etc.Based on the unique TCM theory, experiences of clinical diagnosis and treatment of TCM,the author put forward that the research of TCM should combine macrophenomenon and microphenomenon, quality and quantity, and"Zheng"and"Xie",emphasize locality feature for the purpose of promoting the science research level.

A polydimethylsiloxane ( PDMS )/glass microfluidic chip consisting of a three-layer sandwich structure and three-parallel micro-electrode system was fabricated for the separation of polystyrene microspheres according to the particle size in high conductive solution by electric field produced by alternating current. The principle of electrokinetics of microspheres directional movement was investigated. The results showed that, when the applied voltage was 14 V at 100 kHz, the separation efficiency of 10 and 25 μm polystyrene microspheres was the best. Similarly, with a voltage of 10 V at 2 MHz, the separation efficiency of 5 and 25 μm polystyrene microspheres could achieve the highest value. Meanwhile, the voltage of 11 V at 1 MHz was suitable for the separation of 5 , 10 and 25 μm polystyrene microspheres with the separation efficiency of over 90%. At the same time, the formation of the laminar region in the middle of the electrode gap was the key role of microsphere separation.

Objective To explore the migration of transplanted neural stem cells labeled with SPIO with 4.7T MR system and study cell differentiation by immunohistochemistry in ischemic rats. Methods Rat neural stem cells(NSCs)co-labeled with SPIO mediated by poly-L-lysine and bromode- oxyuridine(BrdU)were transplanted into the middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)rats after 14 days when MCAO model was made successfully.4.7T MR scanner was used to monitor the migration of transplanted cells after 1.2,3,4,5 and 6 weeks post-transplantation.After MRI examination at 6th week, the rats were killed and Prussian blue staining and immunohistochemistric staining were per- formed to study migration and functional differentiation of NSCs.Results Three weeks after trans- plantation, linear hypointensity area derived from migration of labeled NSCs was observed in the corpus callosum adjacent to the injection site.Six weeks after transplantation, linear hypointensity area was moved toward the midline along the corpus callosurn.MRI findings were confirmed by Prussian blue staining and immunohistochemical straining.Co-labeled immunohistochemical methods demonstrated transplanted NSCs could differentiated into astrocytes and neurons. Conclusion MRI is very useful in demonstrating the migration path of labeled NSCs.Transplanted NSCs into ischemic rats can differen- tiated into astrocytes and neurons during the process of migration.
