Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1981;0(04):-
The cardiotonic activity of MD, a domestic product of AR-L115, BS, was tested and verified in isolated guinea pig atria, compared with that of isopreraline (ISO). The electrically paced left atria was used to determine their positive inotropic action, while the spontaneously beating right atria was used to determine their positive chrono-tropic action. The results demonstrate: (1) MD showed a strong positive inotropic action comparable to ISO. (2) MD also showed some positive chronotropic action, although this is much weaker than that of ISO. (3) The single dose of MD showed that the positive inotropic action developed quite slowly and strengthened gradually for a long time, while the action of ISO developed so steeply that its peak effect can reached within a few minutes. (4) Propranolol can definitely block both inotropic and chronotropic actions of ISO but scarcely those of MD. This suggests that MD is not a ?1-receptor agonist. The experimental results described above are similar to those reports abroad.

Objective To compare the retromolar space (RMS) between different antero-posterior (A-P) skeletal patterns, and explore the relationship between the status of third molar eruption/impaction with the different A-P skeletal patterns. Methods A total of 90 orthodontic patients (25-35 years old) were investigated from dental pantomograms (DPTs) and lateral cephalograms (LC). The subjects were divided into three groups according to their ANB angle:skeletal classⅠ, skeletal classⅡ, and skeletal classⅢ. Each group was subdivided into impacted and erupted subgroups. Values of DPT and LC were traced, and the following variables were measured including mandibular body length, third molar angulation and ret-romolar space width. Results The retromolar space width was significantly smaller in classⅡsubjects than that in classⅢsubjects, and RMS was significantly smaller in impacted group than that in erupted group, respectively (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the mandibular angle in erupted subgroup (P<0.05). There was a smaller mandibular body length in impacted subjects (P<0.05). Conclusion There is a relationship between different morphological characteristics of sagittal skeletal pattern and the impacted status. Patients with shorter mandibular body length and decreased RMS width are more inclined to impaction.

To observe the hemodynamics changes of patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy under epidural or general anesthesia. Method: 25 patients were divided into two groups: general(GA, n=11)and epidural (EA, n=14) anesthesia groups. Hemodynamic parameters (HR, MAP, CVP, PCWP, PAP, CO, CI, SVR, PVR) were measured with Swan-Ganz technique after the patients being placed to rT position,CO2 being insufflated into peritoneal cavity, and at the end of operation. Result: 1. In the EA group, CVP reduced significantly after rT position placed, SV, CO, MAP and HR reduced significanty after peritoneal insufflation, but still within normal range. 2. In the GA group, CVP, SV, CO were significant ly reduced after rT position placed; After peritoneal insufflation, all parametere were significantly increased except SV had no significant change. Conclusion:Epidural anesthesia can be safely applied to the ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱ grade patients undergoing laparoscopic cbolecystectomy.

OBJECTIVETo introduce a new measuring tool for measuring postoperative limb length exactly, and to provide a convenient and effective method to control limb length after total hip replacement.
METHODSFrom January 2013 to September 2014, 102 patients undergoing primary unilateral hip replacement were divided into two groups: experimental group and control group. There were 51 patients in the experimental group, including 25 males and 26 females, ranging in age from 37 to 92 years old, with an average of 60.41 years old. The patients in experimental group were treated with new method to control limb length. Other 51 patients in the control group, including 27 males and 24 females, ranging in age from 35 to 87 years old, with an average of 61.00 years old. The patients in the control group were treated with normal methods such as shuck test or limb touching. All the patients were operated by the same experienced surgeon. In the experimental group, total hip arthroplasties (THA) were performed on 35 patients with avascular necrosis of the femoral head or femoral neck fracture, and 16 patients were treated with hemiarthroplasty (HA). In the control group, 38 patients received THA and 13 patients received HA. On the anterior-posterior X-ray radiograph, several indexes were measured as follows: the distance of bilateral femoral offset (a), the height from tip of great trochanter to the rotation center of the femoral head (b) and the vertical distance between the top of the minor trochanter and the two tear drops line (c). The leg length discrepancy can be assessed with three parameters as follows: d1, the absolute value of the difference between the bilateral a values; d2, the difference between the bilateral b values; d3, the difference between the bilateral c values. The SPSS 21.0 was applied for the statistical analysis.
RESULTSIn the experimental and control groups, d1 were 4.49 mm and 7.32 mm (P = 0.013); d2 were 2.37 mm and 4.32 mm (P = 0.033); d3 were 3.32 mm and 6.08 mm (P = 0.031). The values of d1, d2 and d3 in the experimental group were significant smaller than those in the control group.
CONCLUSIONThe new measuring tool and method can be used to control the limb length and offset effectively during operation.
