Micromonospora distributes extensively in environment. But most of them have not been known because the limitation of isolation and taxonomic approach. The phenotypic information such as morphological, cultural and physiological characteristics have been applied widely in the taxonomy of Micromonospora. The functions of molecular methods become more and more important in the taxonomy of Micromonospra accompanying with the development of the polyphasic taxonomy. Micromonospora is one of the most important sources in finding new bioactive compounds, some of them can yield antibiotics, such as gentamicins, rafomicins and newmicins, some of them can degrade natural rubber and fibrin. It indicated in recent years’ study that some bioactive compounds with particular chemical construction could be found from Micromonospora. These compounds can identify cancer cells and kill them effectively.

Objective To observe the antioxidant effects of 99Tc-MDP on the brain of aged mice induced by D-galactose.Methods A total of 48 healthy female Kunming mice were divided into 6 groups by random number table method:normal control group,model group,vitamin E (Vit E) group,groups treated with low,middle and high dosages of 99Tc-MDP.Except the normal control group,mice of each group were injected with 10％ D-galactose saline subcutaneously in the neck for 42 d.At the same time,the 99Tc-MDP groups were given different dosages of 99Tc-MDP (1.75× 10-5,3.50× 10-5,0.70× 10-4 μg/g according to the body mass) respectively into abdominal cavity twice a day.Vit E group was given Vit E by intragastric administration from the first day.The model group was injected with saline every day.After behavioral testing,mice serum samples and brain tissue samples were collected for the determination of superoxide dismutase (SOD),malondialdehyde (MDA),glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and monoamine oxidase (MAO)levels.Then the mice were sacrificed and the brain tissue was taken for HE staining.The independent-sample t test was used for data analysis.Results The mice model was established successfully.SOD levels in brain tissue of groups injected with low,middle,high dosages of 99Tc-MDP,Vit E group were (19.06± 6.44),(20.41±4.02),(22.24±3.76),(24.71±5.09) U/mgprot,respectively,all of which were higher than that of the model group((11.32±2.90) U/mgprot;t=3.099 6-6.504 6,P＜0.05 or ＜0.01).There were similar results for GSH-Px (t =2.214 1-4.145 7,P＜0.05 or ＜0.01).MDA and MAO levels in brain tissue of 99Tc-MDP groups were lower than those of the model group (t =2.140 3-3.057 8,all P＜0.05).Compared to normal control group,the hippocampus in model group showed reduced cell number and layers,disordered structure,with part of the cells in smaller volume and abnormal nuclear shape.In Vit E group and the three 99Tc-MDP groups,no significant change of neuron was observed compared with normal control group,the degeneration and necrosis of hippocampal cells were mild compared with model group,the cell number and morphology were normal,and the structures were clear.Conclusion 99Tc-MDP may increase the activities of SOD,GSH-Px and reduce the levels of MDA and MAO in brain tissue of aged mice,thus it may be helpful in delaying the brain aging.

Currently praziquantel is one of the major drugs used in treatment of schistosomiasis and other trematode infections.Recent experimental studies indicate that a new anthelmintic,tribendimidine,is used in the treatment of intestinal nematodes,also possesses effect against several species of trematodes including Clonorchis sinensis,Opisthorchis viverrini and Echinostoma caproni.Tribendimidine is even more effective against C.sinensis in rats that a single 300 mg/kg oral dose cures almost all of the animals treated,a lower cure dose than praziquantel(375-500 mg/kg).The anti-malarial drugs artemether and artesunate are not only effective in the prevention of schistosomiasis,but also effective against several species of trematodes,especially C.sinensis.The single oral dose of both drugs to cure or achieve high efficacy in infected rats is 75 mg/kg.This review summarized research progress on tribendimidine,artesunate,and artemether in experimental animals infected with C.sinensis and other species of trematodes.

Objective To investigate the effects of extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves EGb761 on 1-methy-l 4-phenylpyridium (MPP+)-induced injury in human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells; To discuss its mechanism of action.Methods Cell culture method was used and SH-SY5Y cell damage model was induced with different concentrations of MPP+ to build Parkinson’s disease model in vitro. The experiment was divided into control group, MPP+ model group, low-, medium-, and high-dose EGb761 groups. The survival rate was determined by MTT assay, and the apoptotic rate was detected by flow cytometry according to AnnexinV apoptosis detection kit. The cell morphology was observed by inverted microscope. NO content in SH-SY5Y cells was detected by Nitric acid reduction method.Results Compared with the control group, the survival rate of SH-SY5Y cells decreased and the apoptotic rate and NO content increased in the model group (P<0.05); Compared with the model group, the survival rate of SH-SY5Y cells increased and the apoptotic rate and NO content decreased in the low-, medium- and high-dose EGb761 groups (P<0.05).Conclusion EGb761 can protect MPP+-induced SH-SY5Y cell from damage by the inhibition of the content of NO free radical.

objective To investigate the recurrence of stroke,clinical prognosis and vascular changes in patients with ischemic stroke due to middle cerebral artery stenosis. Methods The ischemic stroke patients with symptomatic middle cerebral artery stenosis were enrolled continuously and followed up prospectively for six months. The recurrence of ipsilateral stroke,clinical prognosis and dynamic changes of vessels were analyzed. Results Eighty patients were included,and 20.0% of the patients(16 cases)presented with recurrence of ipsilateral ischemic stroke and 56 cases (70.0%)with a good outcome(modified Rankin scale[mRS]≤1)during the 6 months follow-up;38.6% patients (27 cases) presented with significant vascular changes with progression in 12 cases (17.1%)and regression in 15 cases (21.4%). Conclusion The patients with simple symptomatic middle cerebral artery stenosis have an high rate recurrence of ipsilateral stroke but have good prognosis;Lesioned artery of the majority of patients in the short period after stroke was stable,but vascular stenosis in some patients could appear progression or remission.

Objective To explore diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of intestinal atresia(IA) in neonates,so as to increase the healing rate.Methods Surgical treatment was given to 29 cases of congenital IA from Apr.2004 to Nov.2008.Comprehensive analysis was carried out on clinical manifestations and flat X-ray.All cases were with vomiting,15 cases were with normal fetal faeces.Stomach and intestinal atresia were observed in the upper abdomen in 19 cases,fluid levels in generous stomach and expended intestines were seen in 21 cases by X-ray.All children underwent operation,including ileum atresia(16 cases),duodenal atresia(7 cases),and jejunal atresia(6 cases).The types of atresia were type Ⅰ(9 cases),type Ⅱ(9 cases),type Ⅲa(9 cases),type Ⅲb(1 case) and type Ⅳ(1 case).Nine cases were treated with septum resection and then anastomosed longitudinally,3 cases underwent end-to-end anastomose and 17 underwent end-to-back anastomose.All cases were served in intravenous hyperalimentation.Results All cases lived postoperatively,and 1 child gave up for postoperatively treatment.Twenty-eight cases were cured.There was 1 case of obstruction of anastomatic,and was cured by non-operatively treatment.There was no anastomatic leakage and wound disruption.Twenty-six cases were followed up for 3 months and up to 4 years.These symptoms had no relapse.Conclusion Early diagnosis,appropriate surgical procedure and surrounding operation management are crucial for improving the cure rate.

AIM: To observe the efficacy and safety of small incision manual nuncleofragmentation technology in hard-nucleus cataract.METHODS: Fifty-four patients (54 eyes) were performed with small incision manual nucleofragmentation and intraocular lens implantation.Uncorrected-visual acuity,corrected-visual acuity and astigmatism were measured before and after surgery.Anterior segment of eye,retina,surgical complications were observed.RESULTS: Preoperative uncorrected vision(LogMAR) was 1.095±0.171,corrected vision (LogMAR) was 0.994±0.158.Postoperative uncorrected vision(LogMAR) was 0.321±0.214 and corrected vision(LogMAR) was 0.276±0.179 at 1wk after operation.Both had statistical significance compared with uncorrected vision(LogMAR) (t=27.052,P<0.01) and corrected vision (LogMAR)(t=29.211,P<0.01) after cataract operation.Average preoprative corneal astigmatism was 0.93±0.34D,average postoprative astigmatism was 0.95±0.29D at 3mo,there was no statistical significance of astigmatism before and after surgery(t=1.048,P>0.05).No severe complications occurred in all cases.CONCLUSION: The technology of small incision manual nuncleofragmentation in hard-nucleus cataract is proved to be safe and effective.

To evaluate the clinical effect of small incision cataract extraction with a manual nucleus division technique combined with intraocular lens implantation in cataract operation of large quantities.
●METHODS: Totally 105 patients (105 eyes) underwent small incision cataract extraction surgery. Visual acuity was observed, eye condition, fundus and intraocular pressure were examined by slit lamp at postoperative 1wk; 1mo.
●RESULTS: The visual acuity improved significantly at postoperative 1mo, 89 cases (89 eyes) with better than 0. 3( 85%), 101 cases ( 101 eyes) with 0. 1 and above (96%). lt had short operation time, fewer complications and good anesthetic effect.
● CONCLUSlON: This operation is suitable for primary hospitals, which visual acuity improved obviously, without serious complications, and economic and feasible.
