Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2005;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the value of laparoscopic treatment for post-laparoscopic cholecystectomy complications. Methods From October 1996 to October 2007,totally 754 patients suffering from gallbladder diseases underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy in our hospital;21 of them developed postoperative complications and received laparoscopic intra-abdominal exploration. Results By laparoscopy, bile leakage was diagnosed in 11 cases,intra-abdominal bleeding in 6,intraperitoneal fluid in 2,duodenal bulb perforation in 1,and obstructive jaundice in 1.The patients who developed obstructive jaundice was converted to open surgery because of hepatic duct transection. The other 20 cases underwent laparoscopic treatment. All the patients were followed up for a mean of 6 years(1 to 11),during which none of them had biliary complications. Conclusion Laparoscopic treatment is a microinvasive, safe and effective method for post-laparoscopic cholecystectomy complications.
2.Comparison of HRP-labeled Neurons in Living and Dead Mice with Light and Electron Microscopy
Journal of Third Military Medical University 1983;0(04):-
Crystal HRP was applied to the cut ends of the left infraorbital nerve and branches of the facial nerve of 34 adult mice. Then the animals were killed and perfused, and HRP solution was applied to the cut ends of the root of the right facial nerve and the right maxillary nerve. Frozen sections of the brain stem and the trigerminal ganglia were made and reacted with BDHC, TMB or DAB method for light and electrom microscopic examination.Under light microscopy, the neurons labeled when alive in the left trigerminal ganglion and the nucleus of the left facial nerve showed that more cell bodise but less nerve fibers were labeled. The reaction products with all the 3 methods in thess cells were granular. The neurons labeled after death in the right trigerminal ganglion and the nucleus of the right facial nerve showed that more fibers but less cell bodies were labeled. The reaction products in these cells were also granular with BDHC and TMB methods but diffuse with DAB method.Under electron microscopy, there were electron-dense positive products in all the cells labeled either when alive or after death. In those cells labeled when alive, the products were found in the round or oval secondary lysosomes or multive-sicular bodies, while in those labeled after death, they were mostly found on one side of vacuoles without membrane boundary. In the fibers labeled after death, many large or small positive granules were found in the axons and many minute positive granules in the myelin lamellae especially on their inner surface in contact with the axons.
3.Expression of leukemia inhibitory factor in chorionic villi of normal early pregnancy, threatened abortion and inevitable abortion
Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2001;0(03):-
0.05). The levels of progesterone and hCG in the inevitable group were significantly decreased to(36?17) nmol/L and(13 ?3) kU/L, respectively. The differences when compared to the other groups were statistically significant (P0.05). Conclusion LIF may play a role in the maintenance of normal pregnancy. Reduction of LIF expression in chorionic villi may induce the decrease of serum progesterone and hCG levels and, ultimately, cause inevitable abortion.
4.Evaluation of the value of anaerobic culture in bacterial contamination forapheresis platelets
Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 2017;30(7):826-828
Objective To determine the potential deficiency due to lack of anaerobic culture and evaluate the effect to reduce adverse reaction associated to transfusion-translated bacterial infection. Methods The result of 9 758 units of apheresis platelet concentrates (PCs)detected with automated microbial detection system were reviewed and the medical records of the patients that received the contaminated PCs were followed. Results The confirmed positive rates by aerobic and anaerobic cultures were 0.06% (6/9 758)and 0.16% (16/9 758),respectively.In 10 of 16 yield cases, only the anaerobic culture was positive. The most of the bacterial detected by anaerobic culture only were Propionibacterium acnes.Their mean detection time from inoculation was 96.8±18.21 hours. Conclusion Addition of anaerobic culture would enhance the detection of bacterial contamination in PCs.However, since only slow-growing bacteria were detected, and because their clinical significance was debatable, blood service should select feasible and costeffective projects using only aerobic bottle for bacterial screening, like the majority of licensed blood centers in North America and Hong Kong,China.
5.The effect of different atrial pacing site and frequency in preventing postoperative atrial fibrillation in patients with sick sinus syndrome
Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2014;(7):973-976,977
Objective To evaluate the short-term effect of low atrial septum pacing and different pacing frequency to prevent atrial fibrillation in patients with sick sinus syndrome . The electrophysiological mechanism would be ana-lyzed. Methods Thirty eight sick sinus syndrome patients were randomly divided to right atrial appendage pacing group and low atrial septum pacing group. The conduction time from P wave to left atrial and left atrioventricular in-terval was measured at different atrial pacing frequency. The effects of different atrial pacing frequency on interatrial conduction time were analyzed. The occurrence of atrial fibrillation was compared within an average one year follow-up period. Results ①There were no differences in basic information before treatment between the two groups. ②There were no complication, pacing and sensing dysfunction between the two groups.③The occurrence of atrial fi-brillation in low atrial septal group was lower than that in right atrial appendage pacing group. Similarly, the con-duction time from P wave to left atrial was shorter and left atrioventricular conduction time was longer in low atrial septal group. The difference was statistically significant.④ Left atrioventricular interval was longer in high pacing frequency(80 bpm) compared to low pacing frequency(60 bpm) between the two groups. The difference was statis-tically significant. Conclusion In sick sinus syndrome patients, the occurrence of atrial fibrillation is lower on low-er atrial septal group. Increasing atrial pacing percentage may be enhanced the effect. The mechanism may be asso-ciated with shortened interatrial conduction and extended left atrioventricular interval, which improves interatrial and left atrioventricular synchrony eventually.

9.Observation of metastasis of colon adenocarcinoma Iovo cells in vitro under laser scanning confocal microscope
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2009;32(6):341-343
Objective To explore the feasibility of applying laser scanning confocal microscopy to investigate the metastatic characteristic of tumor cells in vitro. Methods The confocal microscope combined with transwell assay was employed to observe the invasion and migration of the metastatic colon cancer ]ovo cells when stimulated by IL-8. Results The results show that the number of invasive lovo cells in the stimulated group was much higher than the unstimulated group (P<0.05). The migration way of lovo cells observed under the confocal microscopy was ameba like movement. These findings suggest that the metastatic ability of lovo cells stimulated by IL-8 was enhanced. Conclusion The metastatic characteristic of colon adenocarcinoma lovo cells is similar to the chemotactic movement of leukocytes.
