1.Periosteal osteosarcoma:a case report and review of literature

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics, location, treatment and prognosis of periosteal osteosarcoma. Methods The data of 1 patient with periosteal osteosarcoma was retrospectively analyzed, and the 35 cases reported in CNKI database in recent years were analyzed. Results The patient of periosteal osteosarcoma was female and 16 years old. Periosteal osteosarcoma occurred in the tibia. The patient was treated with extensional resection, and had no recurrence and metastasis 3 months after operation. Among the 35 patients reported in the literature, the age of onset ranged from 14 to 35, the female was slightly more than the male (19 cases vs. 16 cases), and the lesion site was mainly in the tibia and femur. The 35 patients underwent surgical treatment, and 4 cases had metastasis;6 cases were treated by surgery combined with chemotherapy. Conclusions Female patients with periosteal osteosarcoma were slightly more than male, and the lesion site is mainly in the tibia and femur. The chemotherapy effect is not exact, and extensional resection is the most effective treatment method. The transfer site and the characteristics are not exact.
2.Effects of endogenous NO on sensitivity to chemotherapy in human breast cancer cell line

Objective To evaluate the effects of endogenous NO on the chemosensitivity of human breast cancer cell. Methods MCF-7 cells were cultured as monolayer, incubated with cytokine IL-1β. The pro-duction of NO was detected by NO assay. The expression of iNOS protein was measured by Western blotting. Establishing control group and experimental group, the chemosensitivity of MCF-7 cells incubated by L-NMMA and L-Arg to ADM and 5-Fu was studied by MTT assay. Results There was a positive correlation of dose-dependence between NO production and IL-1β concentration. MCF-7 cells expressed plenty of iNOS by induetion of IL-1β. There was no significant difference on iNOS whether L-NMMA and L-Arg existed or not. Incubating MCF-7 cells with 0. 5 μmol/L or 1 μmol/L ADM, the survival rate of experiment group was remarkablely decreased(P < 0.05) ; L-NMMA significantly increased survival rate of experiment group(P < O. 05) ; L-Arg decreased survival rate of experiment group(P < 0.05). Conclusion The induction of IL-113 in MCF-7 cells can increase the production of endogenous NO, which increases MCF-7 cells' sensitivity to chemotherapy.
3.Research about attention network of patients with amphetamine-induced psychiatric disorders

Objective To investigate the characteristics of the cognitive impairment about attentional network among amphetamine-induced psychiatric disorders. Methods Amphetamine-induced psychiatric disorders ( n = 100) and normal controls ( n = 100) were assessed with Attentional Network Test(ANT) in the first week and the fourth week. Results Compared with the control group, the first ANT's response time was significantly increased, and the correct rate, orienting and executive control network were significantly reduced in Amphetamineinduced psychiatric disorders( eg:response time ( 867. 37 ± 272.24 ) ms vs ( 668.56 ± 136. 20 ) ms, correct rate (0.88 ±0.06 ) ms vs (0.88 ±0.06) ms ,orienting( - 217.86 ± 198.00 ) ms vs ( -59.67 ± 85.07 ) ms and executive control network ( 184.74 ± 66.61 ) ms vs ( 74.71 ± 50.77 ) ms, P < 0.01 ), but the alerting network was higher ( ( 151.17 ± 198.27 ) ms vs (50.60 ± 67.47 ) ms). In the second ANT results, there was no significant difference between two groups. Compared with the first ANT results of amphetamine-induced psychiatric disorders, the second ANT had shorten response time ,that the correct rate, orienting and executive control network were significantly increased(P < 0.01 ). Conclusion These results suggest that amphetamine-induced psychiatric disorders have impairment in cognitive function, but these impairment can be recovered within one month.
4.Screening of the Microbe Producing Docosahexaenoic Acid from Seawater and Identification on a Strain of High Yield

Microbes that produce Docosahexaenoic Acid were isolated from seawater. 160 strains capable of producing lipids were screened out using Sudan Black B dying method from 280 seawater samples. From 60 strains of microorganisms producing bigger lipid particles, 7 strains of them capable of producing lipids more than 8% were obtained with Soxhlet abstracting method in the first screening. In the secondary screening from 10 strains with high lipids yield, strain 7-3 capable of producing 15.9% lipids was obtained, in which the content of DHA(Docosahexaenoic Acid)is 45.2%. Strain 7-3 was identified as Brettanomyces based on its morphological properties, cultural characteristics, physiological and biochemical properties.
5.The efficiency of primary hepatic carcinoma using transcatheter arterial chemoembolization and the bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells

Objective To evaluate the efficiency of primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC)using tran- scatheter arterial chemoembolization(TALE)combining with MSC.Methods Treatment group(30 patients with unresectable PHC)adopt MSC after TALE,while control group(10 patients with unresectable PHC)only adopt TALE,then observing the curative effect and survival rate.Results One year after treating,the local effect was 90 %,60 %,1~2 year survival rate was 90 %,30 % respectively,median life span was 15 months. Conclusion To treat PHC with TALE combining with MSC is an effective and non-invasive method.
6.A1 H magnetic resonance spectroscopy study of obsessive-compulsive disorder

Objective To approach potential abnormalities of neuro-chemical compounds in cerebrum of obsessive-compulsive disorder and to analyze the relationship among the abnormalities with duration of illness and symptom severity. Methods 19 patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder and 22 comparison subjects were scanned by 1H magnetic resonance spectroscopy to exam bilateral prefrontal lobe, temporal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital lobe, anterior cingutate and caudate nucleus, hippocampus as well as splenium and genu of corpus callosum,thalamus. The ratios of N-acetylaspartate (NAA) and choline (Cho) to creatine (Cr) were respectively recorded.The severities of obsessive-compulsive symptoms were assessed by Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale. Results ( 1 ) The ratios of NAA/Cr in right caudate nucleus and left hippocampus were higher than those in normal controls (1.23 ±0.37 vs 1.0 ±0.33, t=2.14, P=0.039;1.34 ±0.25 vs 1. 10 ±0.45, t=2.41, P=0.021 ), but NAA/Cr ratios in genu of corpus callosum were lower(0. 97 ±0.30 vs 1.19 ± 0. 26, t = -2.47, P= 0.018 ).(2) The Cho/Cr ratios in right caudate nucleus and left temporal lobe were higher than those in control groups (1.09±0.51 vs0. 67±0.21,t=3.32, P=0.003;2.58±0.62vs0.84±0.17, t=2.21,P=0.03). (3) The duration of illness was negatively correlated with the Cho/Cr ratios of right prefrontal lobe ( r = - 0. 507, P =0. 027 ). (4) The NAA/Cr ratios of genu of corpus callosum as well as the Cho/Cr ratios of left temporal lobe were negatively correlated with YBOCS score ( r 1 = - 0.457, P = 0.049; r 2 = - 0. 585, P = 0.009 ). Conclusion Neuronal functions increase in right caudate nucleus and left hippocampus which are opposite in genu of corpus callosum. These abnormalities may play an important role in pathogenesis of OCD.
7.The impulsivity and aggressivity, and its treatment outcomes of the inpatients with internet addiction disorder by intergrafion interview

Objective To explore the impulsivity and aggressivity,and its treatment outcomes of the inpatients with intemet addiction disorder (IAD) by intergration interview. Methods Barratt Impulsiveness Scale ( BIS), Buss Aggressive Scale (BAS) were used to assess the impulsiveness and aggressivity in 58 IAD patients, at the first week and after the point of intergration interview 3 months,54 normal subjects in the control group were conducted by BIS and BAS only when they were recruited. Results ①The intemet addiction group had significantly higher scores on the BIS and BAS total scores than the control group at the first week ( BIS score 99.3 ±15. 1vs 75.0 ± 15.4, t=8.47, P<0. 01; BAS score 78.3 ±24.4 vs 54.8 ± 17.7, t=5.87 , P<0. 01 ). IAD group had lower scores on the total scores of BIS-Ⅱ and BAS after intergration interview than before, but the subscales and total scores were higher than those in the control group ( BIS score 86.3 ± 16.6 vs 75.0 ± 15.4, t =4.98, P < 0.01 ;BAS score 66.2 ± 22.6 vs 54.8 ± 17.7, t = 3.65, P < 0. 01 ). ②Total score of SCL-90 in IAD group were significantly correlated with the BAS total score ( r=0. 376, P<0. 01 ) ,and the decreased SCL-90 total score was also related with the decreased BAS score ( r= 0.508, P< 0. 01 ). Conclusion This study suggests that IAD group exhibit more impulsivity and aggressivity than those in the control group. After interview, their impulsivity and aggressivity are significantly decreased, but are still higher than those in the normal control group.
8.Hypovolemia shock resuscitated with 3% and 7.5% hypertonic saline in emergency department

Objective To investigate the effects of 3% and 7.5% hypertonic saline (HS) on hemorrhagic shock patients in Emergency Department.Methods From December 2008 to February 2012,patients older than 15 years with severe trauma and systolic blood pressure (SBP) ≤70 mmHg or 70 to 90 mmHg with heart rate≥ 108 per minute were divided into three groups randomly (random number).Group A:patients treated with 3% hypertonic saline (HS) 300 mL + lactated Ringer' s solutions (LRS).Group B:patients treated with 7.5% HS 300 mL + LRS.Group C:patients treated with LRS.The mean arterial pressure (MAP),blood pressure (BP),heart rate (HR) were recorded before infusion and at 10,30,45,60 minutes successively after infusion.Incidence of complications and mortality rates were compared between groups.Results Atotal of 148 patients were enrolled in this study.Compared with LRS grouop,MAP was restored more promptly and maintained persistently in 3% HS group and 7.5% HS group,and the total volume of fluid infused was decreased to almost 50% of LRS in the first 1 hour.No significant differences in MAP levels were observed between group A and B except 30 minutes after infusion.Single bolus of 7.5% HS infusion resulted in increased of HR to mean 127 beats per minute at 10 minutesafter fluid resuscitation.Higher incidence of arrhythmia and transient hypotension occurred in 7.5% HS group.There were no statistical differences of changes of electrolytic indices,mortality rates,incidences of ARDS and MODS among three groups.Conclusions Resuscitation with 3% HS provide similar benefits and lower risk of complications compared with 7.5% HS and LRS.This study demonstrates the practicability and safety of 3% HS for fluid resuscitation of patients with hypovolemic shock.
9.Association between MYO9B rs962917 and rs1545620 gene polymorphism and clinical characteristic of inflammatory bowel disease

Objective To investigate the association between MYO9B rs962917 and rs1545620 gene polymorphism and clinical pathological characteristics of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and permeability of intestinal mucosa.Methods From September 2010 to May 2012,a total of 196 cases of patients with IBD were collected,100 cases were ulcerative colitis (UC) and 96 cases were Crohn's disease (CD).At the same time,99 gender and age matched healthy individuals were collected as healthy controls.The 5 mL blood of participants was obtained and DNA was extracted.The MYO9B gene rs962917 and rs1545620 polymorphism was detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and ligase detection reaction (LDR).After 60 patients with UC and 58 patients with CD orally took intestinal permeability testing fluid (with lactulose and mannitol),the urine of the patients was analyzed with high pressure liquid chromatography-pulsed lectrochemical dection (HPLC-PED).The permeability of intestinal mucosa was determined according to the ratio of lactulose and mannitol.Chisquare test was used for count data.Results Compared with healthy control group,there was no significant difference in genotype and allelic gene distribution of MYO9B rs962917 and rs1545620 of IBD group,UC group and CD group (all P>0.05).The genotype of MYO9B rs962917 and rs1545620 of patients with UC was not related with the disease activity and location of lesions (rs962917:x2 =0.481 and 3.812,rs1545620..x2 =0.398 and 4.543 ;all P>0.05).The genotype of MYO9B rs962917 of patients with CD was not related with the disease activity,lesion type and occurrence of perianal lesions (x2 =0.384,0.476 and 3.486,all P>0.05) and was related with location of lesions (x2=15.926,P<0.05).The genotype of MYO9B rs1545620 of patients with CD was not related with the disease activity and lesion type (x2 =1.407 and 5.126,both P>0.05),however was related with location of lesions and occurrence of perianal lesions (x2 =18.165 and 7.629,both P<0.05).The permeability of intestinal mucosa of all 58 patients with CD was high.The genotype of MYO9B rs962917 and rs1545620 of patients with UC was not related with the permeability of intestinal mucosa (x2=1.508 and 1.025,both P > 0.05).Conclusion MYO9B rs962917 and rs1545620 gene polymorphism is related with the location of lesions in CD and is not related with the permeability of intestinal mucosa of patients with UC.
10.Research on phytoestrogenic effects and its mechanism of psoralen.

OBJECTIVETo observe and evaluate the phytoestrogenic effects and its mechanism of psoralen in estrogen receptor (ER) alpha and beta positive T47D and ishikawa cells.
METHODThe proliferation rate of T47D influenced by 1 x 10(-5) mol x L(-1) to 1 x 10(-9) mol x L(-1) psoralen and that of Ishikawa influenced by 1 x 10(-6) mol x L(-1) and 1 x 10(-7) mol x L(-1) psoralen were analyzed by MTT assay. PR mRNA expression in T47D was quantified by RT-PCR assay. Estrogen receptor antagonist ICI 182, 780 was employed as a tool. ER-alpha and ER-beta expression of T47D was measured by flow cytometry.
RESULTThe proliferation rates of T47D cells treated with 1 x 10(-5) mol x L(-1) to 1 x 10(-7) mol x L(-1) psoralen and ishikawa cells treated with 1 x 10(-6) mol x L(-1) to 1 x 10(-7) mol x L(-1) psoralen were increased significantly. The RT-PCR result showed that 1 x 10(-7) mol x L(-1) and 1 x 10(-6) mol x L(-1) psoralen could increase PR expression in T47D cells. The above effects could be blocked by ICI 182,780. Psoralen could also induce the augment of ER-alpha and ER-beta expression in T47D cells significantly.
CONCLUSIONPsoralen has phytoestrogenic effects. The effects are attained through ER pathway.
