Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2010;33(21):1-3
Objective To discuss the relativity between serum procalcitonin(PCT) level and renal impairment (RI) in critically ill patients. Methods A perspective study was performed in 60 critically ill patients. They were divided into 2 groups on the serum PCT level within 24 h: abnormal group (PCT ≥ 0.5 μg/L,38 cases) and normal group(PCT < 0.5 μg/L,22 cases). The serum creatinine (SCr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) were observed. Acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ ) of the patients were recorded. Calculated the sensitivity and specificity for prediction of RI as well as acute renal dysfunction (ARD). Results SCr [(188.91 ± 199.48) μmol/L]and BUN [(13.03 ±9.19)mmol/L]in abnormal group were significantly higher than those in normal group [(67.40 ± 15.35) μ mol/L and (6.91 ± 2.06) mmol/L](P< 0.01). The sensitivity of PCT forecast RI was 71.79%, and specificity was 52.38%. The sensitivity of PCT forecast ARD was 91.67% , and negative predictive value was 95.45%. Conclusion Serum PCT level has an important value for judgement of RI and ARD in critically ill patients.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2014;37(9):33-35
Objective To explore the relationship between chronic tonsillitis and allergic purpura. Methods Fifty-six allergic purpura children with chronic tonsillitis were selected,26 children were given tonsillectomy (operation group),and 30 children were not given tonsillectomy (no-operation group). The duration of abdominal pain, duration of erythra, proteinuria negative time, hematuria negative time, antistreptolycin O rite, complement C3 were compared between the 2 groups, and the 24 h urine protein quantitarion and urine red blood cell count in operation group were compared between preoperative and postoperative. Results The duration of erythra, duration of abdominal pain, proteinuria negative time, hematuria negative time in operation group were significantly better than those in no-operation group [(10.58 ±4.22) d vs.(16.70 ±9.68) d,(6.49 ±2.45) d vs.(9.20 ± 2.21) d,(12.3 ±4.1) d vs.(16.5 ± 5.6) d,(10.1 ± 3.3) d vs.(12.7 ± 4.9) d],there were statistical differences (P < 0.01 or < 0.05).There were no statistical differences in antistreptolycin O tite and complement C3 between the 2 groups (P> 0.05).In operation group, the 24 h urine protein quantitation and urine red blood cell count postoperative were significantly better than preoperative [(0.72 ± 0.28) g vs.(1.61 ± 1.22) g,(14.95 ± 4.76) / μ l vs.(56.61 ± 12.57)/μ 1],there were statistical differences (P< 0.01).Conclusion Chronic tonsillitis is one of the important factors which can make allergic purpura erythra relapses and induce purpura nephritis, and tonsillectomy is the optional means of treatment of purpura nephritis with chronic tonsillitis and erythra relapses.
3.Effects of Onodera's prognostic nutrition index(PNI)on the survival of patients with gallbladder carcinoma
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2014;(22):1450-1453
Objective:To retrospectively evaluate the prognostic risk factors of patients with gallbladder carcinoma and the effect of normal prognostic nutrition index (PNI) on the survival. Methods:We retrospectively analyzed 63 patients with gallbladder carcino-ma treated in our hospital between January 2008 and December 2012. The independent prognostic factors of the patients were calculat-ed by the Cox proportional hazards model. The benefit of normal PNI status on the prognosis was further explored in the patients using survival analysis. Results:Lymph node metastasis, PNI≤50, squamous carcinoma, liver invasion and choledoch invasion were the risk factors of overall survival (OS) in the univariate analysis, while only lymph node metastasis (HR=4.495, 95%CI 2.380~8.488, P<0.001) and PNI(HR=0.195, 95%CI 0.098~0.389, P<0.001) were the dependent influential factors of the prognosis and OS in the multi-variate analysis. The effect of PNI on OS was even more statistically significant different in the younger patients (≤65y) than in the el-der (>65y) (younger group:P=0.011;elder group:P=0.078). Conclusion:The gallbladder carcinoma patients with normal PNI status (>50) have better OS compared to the patients with PNI≤50, with statistical differences between the two. And it is more significant in the patients of the younger group (≤65y), comparing with the elder group. PNI could be taken as a potential prognostic evaluation factor for the gallbladder carcinoma patients and can provide a more comprehensive evaluation of patients' conditions to clinician.

Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2015;21(2):117-121
Objective To evaluate the risk factors of gallstone occurrence after gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Methods Relevant documents published from 1990 to 2014 were retrieved through Pubmed,Cochrane Library,Embase,Web of Science CNKI,Wan Fang and VIP databases search. The Meta-analysis was applied with RevMan 5.3 software for Odds ratio and 95% CI.Results 24 studies were selected for this Meta-analysis which included 3 randomized controlled trials,13 cohort studies and 8 case-controlled studies. These 24 studies included patient number which ranged from 32 to 893.The pooled OR (95% CI) and P values of OR (95 % CI) for physiologic digestive tract reconstruction were 0.53 (0.44 ~ 0.65,P < 0.05) ;amount of resection of stomach,1.98 (1.29 ~ 3.04,P < 0.05) ; lymphadenectomy,0.38 (0.21 ~ 0.72,P < 0.05) ; vagotomy,0.24 (0.13 ~ 0.45,P < 0.05) ; and pylorus preservation,0.70 (0.48 ~ 1.02,P > 0.05).Conclusions Physiologic digestive tract reconstruction and vagus nerve preservation reduced occurrence of gallstones after gastrectomy. On the other hand, total gastrectomy and extensive lymph node dissection increased the occurrence. There was no significant difference in the occurrence of gallstones whether there was pylorus preservation or not.
5.The effect of cyclooxygenase-2 on proliferation in gastric cancer cell line SGC7901
Journal of Chinese Physician 2016;18(4):579-582
Objective To investigate the influence of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) knock-down on cell proliferation and apoptosis in gastric cancer cell line SGC7901.Methods The mRNA levels of COX-2 in SGC7901 and gastric epithelium cells (GES) were determined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) assays. The influence of COX-2 on the proliferation and apoptosis of cell line SGC7901 was evaluated with methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) and fluorescence-activated cell sorter (FACS) assay. Results qRT-PCR assay indicated that the mRNA level of COX-2 in SGC7901 was significantly higher than that in GES (P < 0.01).MTT and FACS assays showed that the proliferation was reversed by COX-2 knock-down in SGC7901 cells.Up-regulated Bax and down-regulated Bcl-2 can inhibit the expression of COX-2.Conclusions COX-2 could contribute to the proliferation of gastric cancer cell line SGC7901.
6.Advances in chemical constituents and bioactivity of Salvia genus.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(11):2096-2105
The genus Salvia in the family Lamiaceae with nearly 1 000 species, is widespread in temperate and tropical regions around the world. Many species of genus Salvia are important medicinal plants with a long history of which Danshen (the dried roots and rhizomes of S. miltiorrhiza) is one of the most popular herbal traditional medicines in Asian countries. The chemical constituents from Salvia plants mainly contain sesquiterpenoids, diterpenoids, triterpenoids, steroids and polyphenols etc, which exhibit antibacterial, antidermatophytic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antineoplastic, antiplatelet aggregation activities and so on. In this article, the development of new constituents and their biological activities of Salvia genus in the past five years were reviewed and summarized for its further development and utilization.

7.Advances in characterization of pharmaceutical polymorphisms by vibrational spectroscopy
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2021;56(1):102-112
The determination and characterization of solid drug form polymorphisms plays an important role in drug quality control, selection of the production process and clinical efficacy evaluation. Vibrational spectroscopy is a powerful method for the characterization of drug polymorphisms. In this paper we review recent research and application advances in the polymorphic characterization of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and drug cocrystals/salts by using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy to elucidate the characteristics of APIs and drug complexes. This may provide theoretical support for structural analysis during the development process for drugs.

International Eye Science 2016;16(11):2036-2038
The optic nerve disease is a kind of diseases that seriously affect the visual function. In recent years, magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging ( DTI ) technology has been widely applied in the field of optic nerve diseases. Compared with the ophthalmic testing, such as optical coherence tomography imaging, visual evoked potential, field of vision, this method has obvious advantages. It not only can directly show the morphology changes of the optic nerve, visual pathway and visual cortex, but also can quantitatively analyze the morphological and pathological changes of the optic nerve, visual pathway and the visual cortex. This article reviews the imaging principle of diffusion tensor imaging, the progress and development prospect of diffusion tensor imaging in the study of the optic nerve diseases.
