3.Clinical observation of hexuemingmu tablet on retinal vein occlusion

AIM: To evaluate the effect of hexuemingmu tablet on retinal vein occlusion ( ROV) .
METHODS: Totally, 108 patients of 112 eyes were divided into two groups randomly. One group including 55 patients ( 55 eyes ) were treated by hexuemingmu tablet, the other group including 53 patients ( 57 eyes ) were treated by danhong injection. The visual acuity, fundus and FFA were evaluated before and after treatment.
RESULTS: The total effective rate in the group treated by hexuemingmu tablet was 98%, and that in control group was 82%. The hemorrhage was absorbed much more quickly than control group. Two group were different from each other in statistics (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION: Hexuemingmu tablet can accelerate hemorrhage absorbing and improve visual acuity in RVO treatment.
4.Clinical comparative observation of SMlLE operation design of different thickness of corneal cap

AlM: To compare the impact of different thickness of corneal cap design on small incision lenticule extraction ( SMlLE) operation.METHODS: Forty-six cases of myopia patients ( 92 eyes) intends to SMlLE operation in our hospital were collected , and were randomly divided into 2 groups:corneal cap thickness design for 110μm in group A and 120μm in group B. Other operation parameters designs were consistent. All patients were surgeried by the same surgeon. The incidence of opaque bubble layer ( OBL ) , the ratio of difficult separation of lens, uncorrected visual acuity ( UCVA ) of each time points, and spherical equivalent ( SE) were compared.RESULTS: lntraoperative OBL incidence rate of 110μm group was higher than that of 120μm group with significant difference between the two group (P<0. 05). the ratio of difficult separation of lens was significantly different between the two groups: 110μm group was higher than in 120μm group (P<0. 05). The UCVA in the 120μm group was better than that in the 110μm group at postoperative 1 and 7d. But with the passage of time, postoperative 1, 3, and 6mo of UCVA of 2 groups was similar, showed no significant difference (P>0. 05). SE were compared at 7d and 6mo after operation, showed no significant difference (P>0. 05)CONCLUSlON: Compared with 120μm group, corneal cap design SMlLE operation in 110μm group are more prone to OBL and difficult separation of lens, thus affects UCVA and postoperative recovery rate. There is no significant difference in long-term UCVA.
6.Relationship between meso-hippocampal dopaminergic projections and hippocampal P300-like potentials in rats

AIM: To evaluate the role of the meso-hippocampal dopaminergic systems in the generation of hippocampal P300-like potentials. METHODS: Changes of ventral hippocampal P300-like potentials were examined after lesions of the meso-hippocampal dopaminergic systems.The extracellular DA and DOPAC were collected by the push-pull method in the ventral and dorsal hippocampus and their contents were measured by high-performance liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection(HPLC-EC). RESULTS: The contents of DA and DOPAC in the ventral hippocampus were higher than those in the dorsal hippocampus in the normal animals. The peak latencies of P300-like potentials were prolonged and the contents of DA and DOPAC decreased in the ventral hippocampi after lesions of the meso-hippocampal dopaminergic systems. CONCLUSIONS: There exist meso-hippocampal dopaminergic systems in rats;The meso-hippocampal dopaminergic terminals is mainly located in the ventral hippocampal area in rats; The meso-hippocampal dopaminergic projections take part in the generation of the hippocampal P300-like potentials in rats.
7.Study on the Effects of Psychotherapy on Negative Moods of Hypertension Patients

Objective To observe the promoting effect of psychotherapy on hypertension patients.Methods100 hypertension patients were randomly divided into the intervention group(52 cases) and control group(48 cases).The intervention group was given drug therapy and psychotherapy while the control group was treated with drug therapy and health education.Blood pressure and scale of Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90) were used to assess the treatment results.ResultsThere were no significant differences between the two groups in systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP) before the treatment(P>0.05).After interventions,SBP and DBP of the two groups decreased significantly,but the intervention group was more effective than the control group(P<0.001).The intervention group had lower scores of SCL-90 than the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionPsychotherapy can effectively improve the negative moods and mental health of hypertension patients.
8.Spatial distribution of matrix metalloproteinase-9 of rats with spinal cord injury

BACKGROUND: Edema and systemic disorder of energy metabolism after spinal cord injury can induce a series of amplifying effect, which can deterio rate the injured level. Matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) is able to digest the basal lamina and damage the close joint of capillary vessel by proteolysis,which induces blood-brain barrier breakdown and brain edema formation.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the spatial characteristic of the MMP-9 in acute injured spinal cord so as to investigate the effect of MMP-9 on secondary spinal injury.DESIGN: A completely randomized study.MATERIALS: The study was completed in the Department of Pathology,Medical College of Wuhan University. Totally 40 healthy male Sprague Dawley rats were divided randomly into control group and model group.Five rats in control group were treated with laminectomy. Other 35 rats in model group was used to establish model of spinal cord injury.METHODS: After anesthetized, complete spinal cord tissue was taken out. Tissue of T8.9 spinal cord was cut out and every 3 serial sections of each tissue were taken out randomly for immunochemical analysis of MMP9 expression. Spinal cord tissue at injured segment was taken with 5 rats at each time point. Five visual fields (×400) of every slice were gathered randomly in injured area (sham-operation region in control group), average absorbency was determined then.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Expression of MMP-9 in the acute in jured tissue of spinal cord.RESULTS: Totally 40 rats entered the final analysis. The expression of MMP-9 was observed 1 hour in model group with the peak time of 1 to 2 days and also seen on 7 days. The MMP-9 positive cells were mainly expressed on ischemic neuron, vascular endothelial cells and neutrophilic granulocyte. MMP-9 was not assayed in the control group.CONCLUSION: The early expression of MMP-9 and the characteristics of spatial distribution after spinal cord injury play a key role in tissue edema and inflammatory cell infiltration.
