Described in this paper are the history of patient libraries in Japan, and the current situation, forms and types of provided service , objects of service , training of qualified personnel in patient libraries of Japan , society of patient libraries and its activities with the important role ofreadingin the recovery of patients taken into account , in order to promote the establishment of patient library and its development in our country .

Objective To discuss the clinical effects of interventional therapy in patients with BCS. Methods 32 patients with BCS were treated with interventional therapy under the guidance of color Doppler ultrasound and DSA,and the clinical effects were analysed. Re-sults The success rate was 90. 6% (29/32),and 11 inferior vena cava stents were implanted. There was no serious complications such as pulmonary embolism,no intraoperative deaths. Postoperative complication rate was 12. 5% (4/32),including 1 case of acute renal failure who died with treatment failure,2 cases of acute heart failure,who recovered after the anti-heart failure treatment,and 1 case of bloody ascites be-cause of hepatic vein rupture who recovered after hemostasis and anti-infective therapy. The recurrence rate was 9. 7%(3/31)during the fol-low-up. Conclusion Intervention therapy can obtain a more desired therapeutic effect with smaller trauma,faster recovery in patients with BCS,and it is becoming the preferred treatment method gradually.

Objective: To study the protective effects of canthaxanthin against decreasing of i mmuno-function of the acute lung injury induced by lipopolysaccharide in mice and research its possible mechanism for offering scientific basis of its health function. Methods: Randomly distribute 60 male Kunming mices into control group, lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury model group(ALI), dexamethasone (DXM) group (5 mg/kg) and low, middle, high dose groups of canthaxanthin (10 mg/kg, 15 mg/kg, 20 mg/kg). After 30 d feed by different dosage canthaxanthin, control group were given physiological saline, ALI model group, canthaxanthin administrated groups and DXM group were injected with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (6.0 mg/kg) to induce ALI. Six hours after LPS or physiological saline challenged, abdominal aorta blood for measuring lymphocyte subpopulations(CD3+, CD4+, CD8+), tumour factor-?(TNF-?), leckocyte interpose-8(IL-8), malondialdehyde (MDA) content, superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione perioxidase (GSH-Px) activities, and lung wet weight/dry weight ratio, neutrophil MPO activity of lung, tumour factor-?(TNF-?), leckocyte interpose-10 (IL-10) content of lung. Results: Treatment with different dosage canthaxanthin could significantly decrease serum TNF-?, IL-8, MPO, MDA content and lung wet weight/dry weight ratio, while inhibit the reduction of IL-10 in lung and SOD, GSH-Px activities, improve the percent of lymphocyte subpopulations. Conclusion: Canthaxanthin showed protective effects on immuno-function of the acute lung injury induced by LPS in mice.

ObjectiveTo explore the nursing students'puzzles about career planning,and provide a basis for the training.MethodsA qualitative research was conducted on 14 university nursing interns by in-depth interview and observing.The whole interview was noted.The data was analyzed according to Colaizzi's phenomenological procedure.ResultsThe experience could be classified into four aspects,including hazy understanding of career planning,lack of understanding of themselves,limited ca reer identity and lack of social cognition.ConclusionNursing educators should enhance the training against the nursing students'puzzles and make sure they can make a good career planning.

It constitutes the bulk of a hospital's knowledge, including chiefly technological elements, cognitive elements, experience elements. emotional elements and belief elements, has priority among its various tasks, and is the basis for and the key to the development of individual and organizational abilities to innovate. The instruction on and inheritance of tacit knowledge plays a key part in the cultivation of innovative talents in a hospital. Thus hospitals ought to strengthen the management of tacit knowledge and realize its exchange and sharing through face-to-face communication, post rotation, the establishment of cross-disciplinary teams and electronic networks, and the coding of tacit knowledge.

Objective To investigate the protective effects of carboxyfullerene C3 against γ-ray irradiation-induced injury in BALB/c mice. Methods BALB/c mice were intraperitoneal injected with carboxyfullerene C3 (100 mg/kg) 0.5 h before whole-body γ-ray irradiation at 6.0 Gy (LD50) and 7. 2 Gy (LD90), with the dose rates being 1.0 Gy/min. The survival rate, average survival period of dead animals, and leukocyte count were observed 30 days after irradiation. The serum concentrations of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione(GSH), and malondialdehyde (MDA) were examined by ELISA 4 h after γ-ray irradiation. The numbers of exogenous spleen colony-forming units (CFU-S) and in vitro colony-forming units of granulocyte and monocyte (CFU-GM) in mice receiving different regimens of γ-ray irradiation were calculated under microscope. Results Carboxyfullerene C3 significantly increased the survival rate of mice on the 30th day after irradiation (P<0.01), but it failed to prolong the average survival time of the dead animals after irradiation. CarboxyfullereneC3 increased the serum levels of SOD and GSH(P<0.01), and decreased serum MDA level(P<0.01). Besides, carboxyfullerene C3 also significanely increased the peripheral leukocyte count(P<0.01), and promoted the CFU-S and CFU-GM counts(P<0.01). Conclusion water-soluble carboxyfullerene C3 has satisfactory protective effect against γ-ray irradiation-induced injury in mice.

Objective To inspect the loading strength of a newly designed femur prosthesis with cage on the tension side for improving its design and clinical application. Methods A straight cementless femur prosthesis of total hip joint with cage on the proximal tension side was designed according to the geometry parameter of proximal femur of Chinese people. The concepts of proximal press-fit fixation, hypo-distal fixation, interface osteointegration and bone fusion with the cage were adopted in the prosthesis. Ti-6Al-4V forging workblanks were used in manufacturing with CAD/CAM technology. One prosthesis was taken randomly from finished products of each No.0, 1, 2, 4 group(with different) matched by (+0, +2) head with 26 mm diameter. The weight-loading test was done at 1 body weigth (BW), 3-8 BW respectively on INSTRON 4507 200kN univeral experiment machine universal material study machine with the prosthesis in a extraversion position of 18?. Results No plastic deformation and crack appeared when any of the prosthesis bear 1, 3-8 BW loading. The ultimate loading limit of No.1 and No.4 prosthesis was 57.6 kN and 81.8 kN respectively. Destroy first appeared at the stress collection area of the neck when the size of neck was relatively small. When the size of neck was big enough, break occurred at the stress collection area of the cage on the tension side. Conclusion The intensity strength of weight-loading of the femur prosthesis can not be destroyed even with a cage on the proximal tension side. It can endure the weight loading of hip in daily activities, and even strengthen due to the bony growing in proximal femur.

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of itraconazole oral solutions on pulmonary candidiasis albicans in ICU patients.Methods A total of 71 patients with candida ablicans in their sputum clutures were randomized into two groups.The itraconazole group(n= 36)received itraconazole 200 mg,p.o.(including nasal feeding),q12h for 14 days.The fluconazole group(n=35)received fluconazole 400 mg for the first dose,then 200 mg,i.v.drip,qd for 14 days.Results There were 31 patients in the itraconazole group and 29 paitents in the fluconazole group who completed their treatment.In the itraconazole and fluconazole group,the clearance of candida ablicans was 64.52%(20/31)vs.65.55%(19/29),cleaning time(10.12?2.57)vs(8.87?1.95)days,effective rate 58.06%(18/31)vs 62.07%(18/29),recovery rate is 19.35%(6/31)vs 17.24%(5/29),occurrence of hepatic dysfunction is 25.81%(8/31)vs 24.14%(7/29),and withdrawal for inefficacy was 3.23%(1/31)vs 6.90%(2/29),respectively.These parameters did not have statistical significance.Conclusion Itraconazole oral solutions can be used effectively and safely in the treatment of pulmonary candidiasis albicans in ICU.Patients with renal dysfunction do not need to adjust the dosage.
