Objective To study the condition of pheochromocytoma cells(PC12 cells)differentiation into neurons induced by nerve growth factor(NGF).Methods There were five groups :10,20,50,and 80 ?g?L-1 NGF groups and control group which contained 10% fetal calf serum.PC12 cells were exposed to NGF with different concentrations for 72 h and the lengh of neurite and max diameter of PC12 cells were observed at 24,48,and 72 h,respectively.The expression of MAP2 was detected by immunocytochemistry after PC12 cells were exposed to NGF for 72 h.Results The number of MAP2 positive cells was significantly increased in 20,50,and 80 ?g?L-1 groups compared with control group and the most significant concentration was 50 ?g?L-1(P

Objective To examine the effect of labor analgesia with ropivacaine on maternal serum prolactin, time of first eolostrum production and the rate of abundant lactation. Methods A total of 124 women of vaginal delivery were randomly divided into labor analgesia group (n = 75 ) and control group (n =49). Labor analgesia group received ropivacaine by patient-controlled epidural analgesia. Three ml ropivacaine (0.125% ) was injected through an epidural catheter and another 12 ml ropivacaine was injected 5 min later if there were no total spinal anesthesia. The block level of analgesia was controlled to be below T10 level. Then 5 ml (0.104 mg/min) ropivacaine per hour was continuously pumped till full dilation of ostium of the uterus. The control group consisted of women of normal spontaneous delivery with no pain relieving measure. The prolactin levels of antepartum, postpartum 0 h, 2 h, 6 h, 12 h and 24 h were determined by microparticle chemoluminescence. Starting time of lactation, the feeding times in 24 hours,the rate of abundant lactation, and neonatal weight 24 hours after delivery were recorded. Results ( 1 ) The serum prolactin of both groups increased instantly after delivery, reached a peak 2 hours after delivery and kept high levels 24 hours after delivery. (2)The prolactin levels of labor analgesia group [(19. 5±8.4)nmol/L and ( 14. 5 ± 5.6 ) nmol/L] were lower than those of control group [( 22.6±7. 2 ) nmol/L and ( 16. 9 ± 5.7 ) nmol/L] 2 and 24 hours after delivery ( P < 0. 05 ). ( 3 ) In labor analgesia group the starting time of lactation was within 24 hours after delivery in 73 cases (97%), lactation amount was abundant within 48 hours in 55 cases (73%) and newborn weight reduction in the first day after delivery was(57 ±42)g. In control group the starting time of lactation was within 24 hours after delivery in 45 cases (92%),lactation amount was abundant within 48 hours in 28 cases (57%) and newborn weight reduction in the first day after delivery was( 62±40)g. There were no differences between the two groups in the starting time of lactation, the rate of abundant lactation, and newborn weight reduction ( P > 0. 05 ). Conclusions ( 1 )Epidural anesthesia with ropivacaine might affect the secretion of prolactin, while the starting time and amount of lactation may be affected by other factors. (2) Prolactin increases after delivery, reaches a peak 2 hours after delivery and maintains high levels 2.4 hours after delivery, which contented necessary for lactation.

Objective To compare the efficacies of transverse needling versus perpendicular needling at myofascial trigger points in treating cervical spondylosis and sift out a needling direction for a better improving effect on myofascial pain syndrome such as cervical spondylosis. Method One hundred and six patients with cervical spondylosis were randomly allocated to two groups. The transverse needling group received transverse needling at myofascial trigger points and the perpendicular needling group, perpendicular needling at myofascial trigger points. The symptoms and signs of cervical spondylosis were scored and the VAS score was recorded in the two groups before and after treatment. Result In the two groups, the VAS score had a statistically significant pre-/post-treatment difference (P<0.05) and decreased after treatment. The VAS score was significantly lower in the transverse needling group than in the perpendicular needling group after treatment, but there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). In the two groups, the cervical spondylotic symptom and sign score had a statistically significant pre-/post-treatment difference (P<0.05) and decreased after treatment. The cervical spondylotic symptom and sign score was significantly lower in the transverse needling group than in the perpendicular needling group after treatment; there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The total efficacy rate was 94.0% in the transverse needling group, which was higher than 79.6% in the perpendicular needling group; there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Both transverse needling and perpendicular needling can remove myofascial trigger points and treat cervical spondylosis, but transverse needling at myofascial trigger points is superior to perpendicular needling at myofascial trigger points.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effects on post-stroke depression treated with acupuncture at the acu points based on ziwuliuzhu (the midnight-noon ebb-flow theory).

METHODSNinety-three patients were randomized into a comprehensive group, a ziwuliuzhu group and a prozac group, 31 cases in each group. In the ziwuliuzhu group, acupuncture was applied to the acupoints based on ziwuliuzhu, once a day, 5 times in a week. In the prozac group, fluoxertine hydrochloride (prozac) was prescribed for oral administration, once a day, 20 mg each time. In the comprehensive group, acupuncture based on ziwuliuzhu combined with the oral administration of prozac were adopted and the treatment frequency was the same as the ziwuliuzhu group and the prozac group. The 4-week treatment was taken as one session in the three groups and 6 sessions were required totally. The clinical efficacy and the Hamilton depression rating scale (HAMD) score and the adverse reaction were compared among the 3 groups.

RESULTSThe total effective rate was 96.8% (30/31) in the comprehensive group, better than 83.9% (26/31) in the ziwuliuzhu group and 80. 6% (25/31) in the prozac group (both P<0.05). In 4, 12 and 24 weeks of treatment, HAMD score was lower significantly than that before the treatment in the three groups (all P<0.05), and the score in the comprehensive group at each time point after treatment was lower than the other two groups (all P<0.05). In 4 and 12 weeks of treatment, there were not different significantly between the ziwuliuzhu group and the prozac group (both P>0.05). In 24 weeks of treatment, HAMD score in the ziwuliuzhu group was lower than that in the prozac group (P<0.05). For the adverse reaction, there were 2 cases in the comprehensive group, 6 cases in the prozac group and 0 case in the ziwzuliuzhu group.

CONCLUSIONThe comprehensive therapy of acupuncture at the acupoints based on ziwuliuzhu and oral administration of prozac is superior to either the simple oral administration of prozac or the ziwuliuzhu acu-puncture in terms of clinical efficacy and the improvements in depressive state. Regarding the clinical efficacy, the impact of simple ziwuliuzhu acupuncture is not different significantly as compared with the simple oral administration of prozac, but it is better than the simple oral administration of prozac in terms of the long-term HAMD score and safety.

Objective To study the clinical features and treatment results of hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (HEHE).Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 26 patients with HEHE who were diagnosed and treated at the Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgical Hospital in Shanghai from November 2003 to December 2015.Results The main clinical manifestations of these 26 patients included abdominal pain (13),dizziness (1),anorexia (1),the other 11 patients were asymptomatic.Ultrasound test revealed mixed echogenicity in 17 patients (17/25,68.0％).CT study showed hypointensity lesions in 10 patients (10/12,83.3％).MRI scans identified T1WI hypointense signals in 12 patients (12/14,85.7％) and T2WI hyperintense signals in 11 patients (11/14,78.6％).Platelet distribution width (PDW) assay indicated 18 patients ＜ 15.5 fl (18/22,81.8％),P ＜0.05.all the patients performed tumor makers test,including AFP,CEA,CA19-9.Slightly elevation of CA19-9 was merely identified in one patient.All the patients were confirmed CD34 positive through immunohistochemistry stains.The 1,3,5-year survival rates of these patients were 87.7％,57.0％,43.4％,respectively.Median survival was 61 months.Conclusions HEHE should be considered based on the suggestive imaging findings for the patients with negative tumor markers after exclusion of hemangioma.PDW assay may have a key role in HEHE diagnosis.

Esophageal collision tumor is an extremely rare tumor which defined as the concrescence of two distinct primary neoplasms.The pathobiological mechanism of collision tumors is yet to be understood.Clinical symptoms,endoscopic examination and imaging are all lack of specificity.Diagnosing a collision tumor prior to surgery is difficult.Careful pathological examination is crucial for accurately diagnosing the neoplasms in a collision tumor and ensuring appropriate management and a favorable prognosis.Esophageal collision tumors have been increasingly reported in recent years.With the aim of improving the knowledge level of esophageal collision tumor,the clinical and pathological features of this tumor is needed to be summarized.

Objective To analyze the test results of persons with noise -induced hearing loss using disyllabic Mandarin speech test materials (MSTMs) .Methods 57 subjects with noise -induced hearing loss (noise group) were divided into three groups according to the duration of noise exposure :less than 10 years ,between 11 and 20 years and more than 20 years ,and also separated into 2 groups in terms of the degrees of hearing loss (group A :pure tone average thresholds of 0 .5 ,1 ,2 ,and 4 kHz less than or equal to 30 dB HL ,group B:pure tone average threshold of 0 .5 ,1 ,2 ,and 4 kHz greater than 30 dB HL) .66 subjects with normal hearing were in the control group .All the subjects enrolled in this study could speak Mandarin well in their daily life .Nine lists of disyllabic Mandarin speech test materials were utilized to test SRT and P -I function for these groups respectively .Results PTA and SRT in the noise group were much higher than the control group ,the average slope of P -I function was 5 .94% /dB ,and the curve of P-I function moved to the right side .SRT showed obvious changes as the increase of the years of noise exposure and especially in the group which had more than 20 years noise exposure (P<0 .01) . SRT of group B which had more hearing loss were greater than that of group A (P<0 .01) .Conclusion SRTs in the noise group are much higher than the control group with the average slope of P -I functions decreasing and the curve moving to the right side .As the years of noise exposure increase and the degrees of hearing loss become more severe ,SRT rise more apparently .
