1.PURIFICATION OF THE TACKYZOITES OF TOXOPLASMA GONDII FROM HOST CELLS BY NUCLEPORE MEMBRANE FILTRATION
Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 1992;0(06):-
Nuclepore polycarbonate membrane filtration was applied for the purification of tacky-zoites in the peritoneal exudate and the saline peritoneal washing from infected mice with Toxoplasma gondii RH strain or Beverley strain. The recovery rate of tackyzoites by this method was 65. 8% and the purity of the protozoa in the filtrated suspension was as high as 98. 87%, while the protozoa in 98. 4% of the host leucocytes and 85. 2% of host erythrocytes were elimina ted respectively. The ratio of host cells to the protozoa in filtrated suspension was both lower than 1 : 100. Stain of tackyzoites with fluorescent dyes showed that more than 99% of the protozoa were alive after filtration and the re-infection of mice with the purified tackyzoites suggested that the viability, toxicity and infectivity of the tackyzoites were not affected apparently. This method was shown to be a harmless, highly efficiency, time-saving, simple, and ease method for the purification of T. gondii tackyzoites.

OBJECTIVE To explore the application of n-butyl-cyanoacrylate to treat laryngopharyngeal sponge angioma.METHODS The therapy and outcome of 19 cases of laryngopharyngeal cavernous hemangiomas during 1994.1~2005.1 were analyzed retrospectively. The age of all the patients ranged from 18 to 67 years with an average of 40.2 years.15 of the 19 cases were sclerotherapied by injection of a new type of tissue adhesive NBCA.4 of the 19 cases were undergone dissection of the lesion by surgical approach combined with local injection of NBCA.The duration of Follow-up ranged from 1 to 7 years.RESULTS Complete remove of tumor was achieved in 16 cases(84.2%);the tumor of 3 cases(15.7%) was removed incompletely, whose residual tumor was ablated by YAG laser in outpatient. CONCLUSION The cavernous hemangioma occures rarely in laryngopharyngx and usually are poorly defined. It is difficult for treatment because of dangerous bleeding and airway obstruction. In this study,CT、MR and DSA were used to define the extent of disease, and a high cure rate were achieved by NBCA injection combined with surgery and laser ablation.

Objective To evaluate the effect of a nurse-led case management intervention on arm function and uncertainty for women with breast cancer. Methods 90 women with breast cancer were divided into the intervention group and the control group according to their nurses, with 45 patients in each group. All participants were followed six months after surgery. The intervention group attended a 6-month nurse-led case management program, while the control group received the routine care and follow-up only.Questionnaires on arm function and uncertainty were administered 1 month,3 months and 6months after the surgery respectively.Score changes were compared by repeated-measure ANOVA and MANOVA.Results The arm function of the intervention group was better than the control group, except for the 10th day after the operation, there were significant differences at other three time points. The disease uncertainty level of the intervention group was better than that of the control group, except for the dimension of unpredictability, there were evident differences in other dimensions at other three time points. Conclusions The nurse-led case management intervention could improve arm function recovery and decrease the uncertainty to disease of breast cancer survivors.

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical efficacy and safety of Xuebijing injection combined with imipenem and cilasta-tion in the treatment of severe abdominal infection, and its effects on plasma endotoxin and inflammatory factors. METHODS:Dur-ing Apr. 2013-Apr. 2016,100 patients with severe abdominal infection in our hospital were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table, with 50 cases in each group. Both groups were given Imipenem and cilastation sodium for injection 0.5 g added into 0.9% Sodium chloride injection 500 mL,ivgtt(≥40 min),q12 h. Eight hours later,ob-servation group was additionally given Xuebijing injection 100 mL added into 0.9% Sodium chloride injection 500 mL,ivgtt, bid; Both groups were treated for 5-7 d. The levels of plasma endotoxin and inflammatory factors(TNF-α,IL-6,IL-6/IL-10) were compared in 2 groups before after treatment, and clinical efficacies and the occurrence of ADR was recorded. RESULTS:Before treatment, there was no statistical significance in plasma endotoxin or inflammatory factor levels between 2 groups(P>0.05). After treatment, plasma endotoxin and inflammatory factor levels of 2 groups were decreased significantly, and the obser-vation group was significantly lower than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). The excellent and good rate of observation group was 98.00%,which was significantly higher than 78.00%,with statistical significance(P<0.05). No obvi-ous ADR was found in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Xuebijing injection combined with imipenem and cilastation show significant therapeutic efficacy for severe abdominal infection, can effectively control the release of endotoxin and inflammatory factors with good safety.

Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of laryngofissure without tracheotomy.Method:One hundred and sixteen cases of laryngofissure without tracheotomy in our department were analyzed retrospectively.Result:Of 116 cases, 101 cases had the laryngeal carcinoma; 9 cases had laryngeal stenosis; 6 cases had benign tumor of larynx. All the incisions were healed by first intention; and postoperative duration of hospital stay were 7 to 20 days. Three cases recurred in 101 cases of laryngeal carcinoma (2.97%), and underwent reoperation, the 5 year survival rate was 100%. One case recurred in 9 cases of laryngeal stenosis, and underwent reoperarion of laryngoplasty with T-tube implanted. No recurrence in 6 cases of benign tumor of larynx. Conclusion:Laryngofissure without tracheotomy have the advantage of less trauma , fast rehabilitation and no destroying the normal respiratory functions. It is completely feasible so long as surgeons grasp the adaption of operation strictly and select suitable cases.

Cerebral hemorrhage is a common type of stroke, it is characterized by high morbidity and mortality. Many studies have shown that alcohol consumption is associated with the risk of intracerebral hemorrhage, and alcohol consumption is one of the independent risk factors for cerebral hemorrhage. This article reviews the relationship between alcohol consumption and the risk of intracerebral hemorrhage, the influence of heavy alcohol drinking on intracerebral hemorrhage, and the possible mechanism of chronic alcohol consumption associated with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage.

Objective To study the relationship between genetic polymorphisms of CYP2E1 and the susceptibility of the acute leukemia in Gansu population. Methods The C609T polymorphism of CYP2E1 gene was detected by polymerase chain reaction-ligase detection reaction (PCR-LDR) and 1∶1 matched casecontrol method in 100 healthy persons (control group) and 100 patients with acute leukemia (AL group). Results The C2 allele genotype and C1C2/C2C2 genotype of CYP2E1 gene occurred more frequently in AL group (13.5 % and 22 %, respectively) than those in control group (10.5 % and 19 %, respectively), however, both differences showed no statistical significant. Further stratified analysis, the C1C2/C2C2 genotype of CYP2E1 gene occurred more frequently in AML group (27%) than that in control group (19 %), but difference had no statistical significant, too. The occurrence frequency of the C2 allele genotype and C1C2/C2C2 genotype of CYP2E1 gene showed no significant difference in ALL group and control group (x2=0.446, P =0.504>0.05). Conclusion Genetic polymorphisms of CYP2E1 don't correlated to susceptibility of acute leukemia(AML and ALL) in Gansu population.
