1.Germicidal Effects and Stability of Shu-Jin Iodine Disinfection Solution

4.0 to Candida albicans in the 150 mg/L of available iodine concentration for 1 min,or 300 mg/L of available iodine concentration for 0.5 min,respectively.After being stored at 37 ℃ for 90 days or exposured 6 h per-day in consecutive 6 days,the available iodine content of the stock solution and quality of the sample slightly changed.The germicidal logarithmic value was more than 1.00 to the forearm skin natural bacteria when smeared 1 time for 1 min.CONCLUSIONS The germicidal effects of Shu-Jin iodine disinfection solution is good and stable.
2.Effect evaluation of nursing for senile uremia patients during induction period of hemodialysis

Objective To discuss the nursing methods of senile uremia patients during induction period of hemodialysis. Methods Improved nursing methods have been adopted since March 2010 in our department.68 senile uremia inpatients from Match 2010 to March 2011 were selected as the observation group,while 59 inpatients from March 2009 to February 2010 were reviewed as the control group.The incidence of complications was compared between the two groups. Results There were 3 cases of arrhythmia,5 cases of hypotension and 2 cases of disequilibrium syndrome in the observation group,while 11 cases of arrhythmia,16 cases of hypotension and 8 cases of disequilibrium syndrome in the control group.3 patients of the control group died of severe arrhythmia.There was statistical difference of complication incidence between the two groups. Conclusions Cardiovascular events are the most severe complications for senile uremia patients during induction period of hemodialysis,which can be reduced by scientific and reasonable nursing.
3.NEEDLE ASPIRATION FOR THE TREATMENT OF PERITONSILLAR ABSCESS

Forty-five patients with peritonsillar abscesses(PA) were treated by needle aspiration. Pus was drawn in 89%(40/45) of the cases at the first aspiration and repeated aspiration was necessary in 33%(15/45) of the patients. All of the patients were cured by needle aspiration without further invasive therapy and no serious complication was observed. 32 out of 45 patients were available for follow-up. Among them, three had another recurrent PA in situ and the other ten(31%) had recurrent tonsillitis. 4.Meta-analysis of the Efficacy and Safety of Anti-vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Inhibitor in the Treat-ment of Retinopathy of Prematurity

OBJECTIVE:To systematically review the efficacy and safety of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in-hibitors in the treatment of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP),and provide evidence-based reference for clinic. METHODS:Re-trieved from PubMed,EMBase,Cochrane Library,CJFD,VIP,CBM and Wangfang Database,randomized controlled trials (RCT) about VEGF inhibitors (test group) versus laser photocoagulation treatment (control group) in the treatment of ROP were collected. Meta-analysis was performed by using Rev Man 5.1 software after data extraction and quality evaluation by Cochrane re-viewers manual 5.1.0. RESULTS:Totally 5 RCTs were included,involving 381 infants and 754 eyes.Results of Meta-analysis showed that the recurrence rate of ROP [RR=0.23,95%CI(0.13,0.42),P<0.001],retinal detachment incidence [RR=0.27,95%CI(0.14,0.51),P<0.001] andresolution of plus signs [MD=-1.31,95%CI(-1.47,-1.14),P<0.001] in test group were signifi-cantly lower than control group,the differences were statistically significant;and there was no significant difference in the refrac-tive errors and the incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Intravitreal VEGF inhibitors have better efficacy than laser photocoagulation in the treatment of ROP,but the optimal dose and safety need further verification by large-sam-ple and well-designed RCT.
5.Clinical observation on moxibustion combined with Western medicine in improving rheumatoid arthritis due to damp heat affecting bones/joints

Objective:To observe the efficacy of gentle moxibustion combined with Western medicine in treating rheumatoid arthritis(RA)due to damp heat affecting bones/joints to further certificate the scientific nature of the theory that"heat pattern can be treated by moxibustion therapy". Methods:A total of 78 patients with RA due to damp heat affecting bones/joints were divided into an observation group and a control group using the random number table method,with 39 cases in each group.The control group was treated with regular Western medicine,on the basic of which the observation group was treated with additional gentle moxibustion.Patients in the observation group received gentle moxibustion therapy once a day for 8 weeks with a one-day rest every 2 weeks.The wrist circumference,wrist pain degree,skin color and temperature of the wrist,and range of dorsiflexion motion of the wrist in the two groups of patients were compared before and after treatment under the condition of safety observed. Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was 94.9%,which was higher than the result of 79.5%in the control group(P<0.05).Among the quantitative indicators of syndrome differentiation,the wrist circumference,pain degree,skin temperature,and range of dorsiflexion motion in both groups were significantly improved(P<0.01),and the improvements were more significant in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The skin color of the wrist joint was improved in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),and there was no statistical significance in comparing the improvement of skin color and the occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion:Compared with Western medicine treatment alone,the combination of gentle moxibustion and Western medicine treatment has significantly better treatment efficacy and shares high safety,which helps to prove the scientific nature of the theory that"heat pattern can be treated by moxibustion therapy".
6.Evidence-based Evaluation of Monitoring System for Global Short Drugs

OBJECTIVE:To systematically evaluate the monitoring system for global short drugs,and provide evidence-based reference and policy recommendations for developing the short drug monitoring in China. METHODS:Relevant literatures pub-lished in PubMed,Embase,CNKI,Wanfang,VIP database from building to Apr. 3rd in 2017 were retrieved by using"Drugs (cheap drugs,essential medicines,emergency drugs) storage""Short drugs""Insufficient supply of drugs""Drug shortage"as Chinese keywords,and"Drug storage""Out-of-stock drug""Stortage of medicine""Stock out of medicine"as English keywords. Literatures about monitoring system for short drugs in Baidu,Google and national or regional health administration websites were collected,and general information,data collection,data validation,data reporting method,feedback and improvement measures of monitoring system were extracted. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:Totally 25 literatures were included,20 national or regional health administration websites were retrieved. 11 countries and European Union had established monitoring system for short drugs. The main reporting agencies in each country were different,which were production enterprises,business enterprises and medical in-stitutions. It was mainly reported by network. Data validation was mainly conducted by specialized departments or groups for short drugs in each country. The monitoring reporting included information of short drugs and discontinued drugs. Countermeasures in each country mainly included looking for alternative drugs,encouraging production,temporary import,looking for new or other sources of raw materials and speeding up the approval of short drugs. Besides, precautions included implementation relevant laws and guidelines for short drugs,and increasing the cooper-ation with non-government departments,etc. Monitoring sys-tem for short drugs needs to be further improved in China. Itis suggested to establish monitoring and early warning platform for short drugs,and hierarchical intervention mechanism,improv-ing relevant laws and developing guidelines on managing short drugs.
7.Feasibility of developing HAP risk warning model in critically ill patients based on genomic copy number polymorphisms of DEFA1/DEFA3

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of developing hospital acquired pneumonia (HAP) risk warning model in critically ill patients based on genomic copy number polymorphisms (CNPs) of the genes encoding human neutrophil peptides 1-3 (DEFA1/DEFA3).Methods Seventy-seven HAP patients (group HAP) and 109 non-HAP patients of matched age and sex in intensive care unit (ICU) (group NHAP) were enrolled in the study.The genomic CNPs of DEFA1/DEFA3 was determined by realtime quantitative polymerase chain reaction after extracting DNA from peripheral blood samples.The source of patients,condition of endotracheal intubation within 24 h after admission to ICU,Acute Physiology Score,Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation Ⅱ score,Sequential Organ Failure Assessment score,mechanical ventilation time,length of hospital and ICU stay and outcomes were obtained.The predictive model was developed using logistic regression through combining DEFA1/DEFA3 copy numbers and clinical characteristics (Acute Physiology Score and source of emergency) within 24 h after admission to ICU.The receiver operating characteristic curve was used to evaluate the predictive efficacy of the model.Results The copy numbers of DEFA1/DEFA3 were significantly lower in HAP group than in NHAP group (P <0.05).The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the predictive model developed through combining the DEFA1/DEFA3 copy numbers with clinical characteristics was 0.789 (95% CI 0.724-0.854) when the model was used for predicting HAP.Conclusion CNPs of DEFA1/DEFA3 can be used to develop the HAP risk warning model in critically ill patients.
