Objective To study the effects of an extended-interval dosing regimen of gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist(GnRH-a) in the treatment of adenomyosis. Methods 20 patients with adenomyosis who asked for medicine treatment were divided into two groups randomly(n=10). The patients in the study group were given four doses of triptorelin depot 3. 75mg every 6 weeks in a new extended-interval dosing regimen. The other patients in the control group were given triptorelin 3.75mg in the conventional depot regimen of six doses, each given 4 weeks apart. The changes of degree of dysmenorrhea and the uterine volume were investigated. And the level of sexual hormone was also detected both before and after therapy. Results After six months of therapy, the reliving rate of dysmenorrheal was 100% both in the new regimen and the conventional regimen. The uterine volume was reduced at 46.7 % and 47. 5 % . And the level of LH, FSH and E2 were decreased significantly(P 0.05).Conclusion The use of the extended-interval dosing regimen of triptorelin depot in adenomyosis results in a consistent hypoestrogenised state, which is similar to that achieved by the conventional regimen. The new regimen thus reduces the cost of treatment obviously.

Purpose To explore the clinicopathologic characteristics, pathologic diagnosis and differential diagnosis of extraskeletal myxiod chondrosarcoma. Methods The clinical and pathological features were studied with HE and immunohistochemical staining in 5 cases of extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma, and the related literatures were also reviewed. Results Extraskeletal myxoid chondro-sarcoma was male predominance (4 males: 1 female), and the age ranged from 32 to 62 years with an average of 52 years. Four tumors occurred in thigh and another in chest. Histologically, the neophlasm were composed of round and oval cells. Immunohisto-chemically, the tumor cells were positive for vimentin in five cases, synaptophysin expressed in one case, S-100 showed focal positivity in two cases, but negative for CK, p63, EMA, CD34, SMA in all cases. Molecular genetics detection shows chromosome exchange be-tween number 9 and 22. Conclusion Extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma is a rare tumor which has no special characteristics in clinical and iconography, and its diagnosis mainly depends on the histopathologic features, immunohistochemistry and molecular genet-ics. Extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma grows slowly, but have a high tendency for local recurrence and metastases.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the relationship between the level of thoracic complete spinal cord injury(SCI) and ambulatory function wearing Reciprocating Gait Orthosis(RGO) through three dimentional gait analysis, and to explore the quantitative indicators of reconstructing walking capacity of thoracic complete SCI patients.Methods10 patients with thoracic complete spinal cord injury of lesion level from T4 to T12 who had experienced RGO gait training for at least 3 months. Three dimentional gait analysis system of Vicon Nexus 1.2 was used to test and examine the gait speed, cadence, stride length, pelvic angle of rotation, hip range of motion(ROM), crutch force, angular velocity of hip flexion and extension phases, etc. Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient and Spearman rank correlation coefficient were used to examine the relationship between the level of spinal cord injury and the kinematic and kinetic values.ResultsThe mean cadence and stride length were (37.4±2.15) steps/min and (91.6±9.09) cm. The mean hip ROM, angular velocity of hip flexion and extension phases were (42.57 °±5.43 °), (20.88 °±2.18 °)/s and (124.75 °±9.31 °)/s respectively. The gait speed, stride length, peak crutch force, hip ROM, mean crutch force and angular velocity of hip extension phase all had significant pertinence with the level of spinal cord injury.ConclusionThe limitation of hip ROM and excessive load of upper limbs mainly result in ambulatory disorder in higher thoracic complete SCI patients who should be undertaken some rehabilitation training to reduce excessive physiological load in order to improve their ambulatory capacity.
