Aim To investigate the effects of berberine combined with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells ( BM-MSCs) on the energy metabolism of human um-bilical vein endothelial cells ( HUVECs ) under the condition of high glucose. Methods ①The state of cell reproduction and cell proliferating activity were de-termined by MTT assay. ②The cell cycle was detected by flow cytometry ( FCM ) . ③DNA damage of cells was measured by comet tail assay. ④The contents of ATP, ADP and AMP were determined by high perform-ance liquid chromatography ( HPLC ) and the level of energy charge ( EC) was calculated. ⑤The expression of CCR and COX mRNA was detected by reverse tran-scription-polymerase chain reaction ( RT-PCR) . ⑥The expressions of COX and CCR were detected by Western blot. Results ①The proliferating activity of HUVECs declined apparently and the proliferation decreased af-ter high glucose intervention. Meanwhile, the quantity of cells during S +G2 dropped dramatically and there was certain degree of damage to DNA. The berberine and BM-MSCs respectively improved the proliferating activity and the proliferation in different degrees, in-creased the quantity of cells during S+G2 and promo-ted the repair of DNA ( P <0 . 01 ) , and so did the combination of the two, with a better effect than each of them alone. ②After high glucose intervention and the damage caused, the content of both ATP and ADP of HUVECs was reduced, and EC level also declined significantly, while the content of AMP increased. The berberine and BM-MSCs respectively up-regulated the content of ATP and ADP ( P<0. 01 ) , and so did the combination of the two, with a better effect than each of them alone. ③After high glucose intervention and the damage caused, the expression of COX, CCR mR-NA and protein decreased obviously. Yet, all of the three gained a dramatic increase when the berberine, BM-MSCs or the combination of the two were added ( P<0. 01 or P <0. 05 ) , among which the combination worked more effectively. Conclusions The berber-ine, BM-MSCs and the joint use of the two could im-prove the energy metabolism of HUVECs, which had been damaged by high glucose, probably because the berberine and BM-MSCs could up-regulate the expres-sion of COX, CCR mRNA and protein, which leads to the hydrolyzation of glucose oxide and thus the im-provement of blood environment and the enhancement of glucose's supply and intake of HUVECs. Then, here comes the final result: the improvement of the energy metabolism of damaged vascular endothelial cells by high glucose.

Objective To explore the characteristic and its influencing factors of resilience in Chinese recruits to provide the scientific evidence for the mental health training. Methods Resilience Scale for Adults (RSA) ,Self-report Symptom Checklist 90( SCL-90), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ) and General SelfEfficacy Scale (GSES) were applied to 2459 recruits(2231 males and 139 females, aged ( 19 ± 1.5 ) ) within two male recruits( 101.76 ± 14.06) was significantly higher than that of males (96.65 ± 15.62) ( t=4. 13, P<0. 0l ) ;Recruits with College and above education have significantly higher RSA scores than those with junior high school education and senior high school education (P < 0. 0l ). Between the only child group and non only child group, there was no significant difference in RSA total score , but significant difference existed only in three factors higher RSA group scored significantly higher in extraversion (Z = 19.13, P = 0.000), abreaction adjustment (Z =8.67, P = 0.600 ) and self-efficacy (Z = 19.48, P = 0.000 ), while scored significantly lower in the SCL-90 (Z =Resilience had significant positive correlation with extraversion, abreaction adjustment and self-efficacy, and negative correlation with the neuroticism and inhibition adjustment. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that extraversion, neuroticism, abreaction adjustment/inhibition adjustment and self-efficacy had predictive ability to resilience( explain 41% ). Conclusion Chinese recruits have good resilience. Emotion Regulation (abreaction adjustment/inhibition adjustment), extraversion, neuroticism and self-efficacy are important influencing factors of resilience for Chinese recruits.

UNLABELLEDTo study the effect of a Chinese herbal prescription on external calcium deposition to weight-bearing bone in simulated weightlessness rats.
METHODTwenty-one male Wistar rats were divided into 3 groups: control group, tail suspension group, tail suspension with Chinese medicine group which takes a Chinese herbal prescription extract (containing Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, Radix Acanthopanacis Bidentatae, Radix Astragali, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Concha Ostreae prepared by acetic acid) by intragastric administration. After 1 week adaption, there start off 3 weeks simulated weightlessness by tail suspension. At the eleventh day of simulated weightlessness, every rat was given one equal dose of 41Ca tracer by intragastric administration. Right femurs were separated as experiment over, and the ratio of 41Ca to 40Ca (41Ca/40Ca) was measured by accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS), while total femur calcium was measured by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES). Femur 41Ca deposition amount (DA) and femur 41Ca deposition ratio (DR) were calculated.
RESULTThe results showed that compared with control group, 41Ca/40Ca decreased significantly (P < 0.001) in tail suspension group, while in tail suspension with Chinese medicine group, it significantly increased (P < 0.05). DA and DR were both decreased significantly (P < 0.001) in tail suspension group, but no significant change in tail suspension with Chinese medicine group as compared with control group. Compared with tail suspension group, DA and DR increased significantly (P < 0.001) in tail suspension with Chinese medicine group.
CONCLUSIONSimulated weightlessness by tail suspension can cause decreased deposition of external calcium to weight-bearing bone, and the Chinese herbal prescription in this trial is effective to prevent the decrease. Moreover, multiple mechanisms may contribute to weightlessness induced osteoporosis, besides calcium deposition disturbance.

World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2018;20(11):1964-1968
Parkinson's disease with depression belongs to the category of "tremor syndrome" and "depression syndrome" of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Its syndrome characteristics and distribution are different from simple tremor syndrome and depression syndrome. Its neuroplastic mechanism involves dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. Parkinson's disease and depression have common neuro-biological mechanisms. Therefore, Chinese medicine treatment of Parkinson's disease with depression may have a dual regulation effect.
