PHA,PMA or OKT3 McAb alone can not induce the proliferative responses of purified resting T cells,which enables us to comparise the effects of exogenous IL—2,IL—4 and IL—6 on the activation and proliferation of T cell.PHA can induce purifeid resting T cells responding to exgenous IL—2,IL—4 or Il—6 and anti—Tac(p55)McAb only blocked the proliferative response of PHA—stimulated T cells responding to IL—2.PMA can induce purified resting T cells responding to exogenous IL—2 or IL—4 but not Il—6.OKT3 McAb only induced the purified resting T cells responding to exogenous IL—2.Cyclsporin A,an immunosuppressant(CsA),inhibited the proliferative responses of PHA—stimulated T cells responding to exogenous IL—2,IL—4 or IL—6,but in the kinetic study of inhibitory affect of CsA,the results were completely different.Our data suggest that IL—2,IL—4 and IL—6 activate T cell by different pathway.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to consider the importance of medical information obtained via the Internet for difficult cases in hospitals, especially in those located in rural areas. We report here a case of congenital arteriovenous fistula (AVF) in the upper extremities.
Patient: A 30-year-old lady was transported to our hospital by ambulance due to massive bleeding in her left hand. She was seen by our current cardiovascular surgery team for the first time, although she had been diagnosed with congenital AVF of the left arm 9 years previously. Because it was asymptomatic, she was followed up by observation. During 5 years of observation, symptoms such as cyanosis, pain, and refractory ulcers gradually developed. When she was 26 years old, she was referred to a university hospital in Akita, but surgery had already been judged to be impossible. When she was 30 years old, traumatic bleeding in her left hand and hemorrhagic shock led her to be taken to our hospital by ambulance. Using the Internet, we found an institution that had treated a large number of cases of AVF. After controlling the bleeding, we referred her to that institution. However, she could not be treated without an above-elbow amputation.
Conclusion: Congenital AVF in the upper extremities is a rare vascular anomaly and has been generally accepted to be an extremely difficult disease to treat. Treatment should be started as early as possible before the presence of any symptoms. When a specialist is not available near the hospital, precise information must be found using the Internet and the patient should be referred without any delay.

Patients: A 17-year-old girl with Down syndrome and congenital heart defects comprised of ventricular septal defects (VSD) and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) suffered from postoperative complete atrioventricular block (AVB) when she was 7 months old.
Methods and Results: An epicardial pacemaker was implanted just after the occurrence of complete AVB. Due to the pacing threshold of a ventricular lead not being good, the battery showed rapid depletion. Her generator had to be exchanged under general anesthesia every 2–3 years. When she was 10 years old, we implanted a permanent pacemaker transvenously by using cutdown, screw-in and subpectoral pocket techniques. She has shown a satisfactory outcome since then.
Conclusion: Transvenous pacemaker implantation was safe and effective in our young patient without any complications. The timing of surgery and surgical technique are quite important for pacemaker implantation in juvenile patients.

Objective To explore the significance of changes of serum adiponectin and testosterone levels in old male patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) and coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods A total of 122 male patients(more than 60 years old)were enrolled into this study,T2DM patients without CHD(T2DM group,n =40);T2DM patients with CHD (CHD group,n=38);control group(n=44,44 cases of physical healthy men over the age of 60 in Qinghai Provincial People's Hospital from November 2014 to September 2015).The serum of fasting blood-glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc) and blood lipid were detected by Roche cobas 800 full automatic biochemical analyzer,the serum concentration of testosterone(T) was determined by the chemiluminesent immunoassay,serum adiponectin(APN)levels were determined by the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay,the serum insulin(FINS)levels were evaluated by chemiluminescence method,according to the steady-state model evaluation method for calculation of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR),the difference among the three sets of the above indexes indicators were compared,and the correlation between APN and other indicators above were analyzed.Results Compared with control group,the serum T and APN levels in the T2DM group and CHD group were significantly decrease,and the CHD group was the most obviously (P＜0.05).Compared with control group,the FPG,FINS,triglycerides(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) levels in T2DM group and CHD group were apparently higher,and the CHD group was the most obviously (P＜ 0.05).The serum adiponectin was negative correlated with TG (r=-0.363),LDL-C(r=-0.417),HOMA-IR(r =-0.602),while positively correlated with HDL-C(r=0.485),T(r=0.624).The serum T was negative correlated with LDL-C(r=-0.457),HOMA-IR(r-0.643),while positively correlated with HDL-C(r=0.478),P＜0.05.Conclusion The level of the serum APN and the serumtin T2DM patients with CHD are significantly lower than the patients without CHD,the serum adiponectin and the serum testosterone may promote the development of T2DM with CHD.

Objective] To summarize teacher Qin’s clinical experience in treating premature ovarian failure by mainly reinforcing kidney. [Method] Collect the clinical cases, and analyze the etiology and pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation and treatment of premature ovarian failure for teacher Qin ’s. [Result] Teacher Qin thought that this disease was mainly due to kidney deficiency, especially kidney-yin deficiency, and accompanied by liver depression. This disease can be divided into kidney-yin deficiency, kidney-yang deficiency, deficiency of kidney-yin and yang, deficiency of kidney and liver depression. Reinforcing kidney-yin for kidney-yin deficiency; reinforcing kidney-yang for kidney-yang deficiency; reinforcing kidney-yin and yang for deficiency of kidney-yin and yang; tonifying the kidney essence and soothing liver-qi stagnation for deficiency of kidney and liver depression. [Conclusion] Treatment of premature ovarian failure is based on tonifying kidney, supplement on soothing liver, while some change therapies, should combine disease with syndrome.

Objective:To investigate the role of apoptosis-associated speck-like protein(ASC) in non-apoptotic,non-necrotic cell death of neutrophils induced by ONO-AE-248.Methods:The morphological changes of neutrophil nuclei and DNA fragmentation of the cells were examined by confocal microscopy and terminal-deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated nick end labeling(TUNEL).Neutrophils were stimulated with medium alone,LPS,TNF-? or ONO-AE248 respectively.Then expression of ASC was detected by Western blot.Results:ONO-AE-248-induced neutrophil death was negative in TUNEL assay.Western blot showed that the expression of ASC protein was down-regulated by ONO-AE-248.Conclusion:The DNA degradation of the neutrophils when stimulated by ONO-AE-248 is probably different from that of the typical apoptosis.ASC might be a crosslink point between the ONO-AE-248-induced neutrophil death and spontaneous apoptosis of neutrophils.

Matrix assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) is an emerging tool for detecting microorganisms. It can be used not only for rapid identification of microorganisms, but also for the research of resistance mechanisms. Producing β-lactamase is the main mechanism for resistance of β-lactam antibiotics in Gram-negative bacilli. Currently using MALDI-TOF MS for rapid detection of bacterialβ-lactamase has been widely reported, including detection of β-lactam hydrolysis activity of β-lactamase, direct detection of β-lactamase molecule, peptide and relevant proteins, and detection of the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of β-lactamase gene. This paper reviews current application of MALDI-TOF MS to the detection of β-lactamase based on the latest research findings.

Silk fibroin (SF) and hydroxyapatite (HA) composite powders were synthesized from CaO, H3PO4 and SF solution on the principle of neutralization. SF/HA porous materials were prepared through adding silk short fibers and NaCI particles as reinforcing material and pore-forming agent respectively by isostatic compaction. The structure and mechanical properties of the SF/HA porous materials were investigated. Results indicated that short silk fibers in it could markedly enhance flexural strength and flexural breaking energy. The average pore diameter and porosity could be regulated from 64 μm to183 pm and from 55% to 75% respectively by adding pore-forming agent.
