The application of cerebrovascular intervention brings the diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular disease into a brand-new domain. Many neurological physicians have become physicians of cerebrovascular intervention by training. In the big teaching hospitals carrying out cerebrovascular intervention, advanced physicians are the hard strength in the lot of cerebrovascular intervention. The training aiming at cerebrovascular intervention and comprehensive abilities affects both the training results and the therapeutic results of cerebrovascular intervention. Therefore, it is an important issue to explore how to consummate and standard the training methods of advanced physicians studying cerebrovascular intervention.

Objective:To investigate Intraflagellar Transport 80 (IFT80) protein expression in bone, lung, pancreatic, stomach, in-testinal, prostate, breast, and ovarian cancers to explore its mechanism in cancer cell proliferation and to diagnose and identify new tar-gets in cancer treatment. Methods:Immunohistochemistry was used to investigate the expression of IFT80 in gastric cancer tissue of different stages and in eight other kinds of human cancer tissues. We studied the relationship between cancer cell proliferation and inhi-bition of IFT80. Immunofluorescence method and cell culture were used to study the cilia and IFT80. Results:Results showed the fol-lowing:a) the expression of IFT80 was high in gastric and lung carcinoma tissues, moderate in breast and colorectal cancers, low in bone and ovarian cancers, and nearly absent in prostate and pancreatic cancers;b) inhibition of IFT80 in the A549 cancer cell line accel-erated cell proliferation and resulted in shorter, lower quality cilia;and c) IFT80 was abundantly expressed in cancer tissues of well-dif-ferentiated stage-IIA gastric cancer and normal gastric tissues, but was hardly expressed in late-stage, poorly differentiated gastric can-cer. IFT80 could have various degrees of expression in gastric carcinoma of other stages and differentiation. Conclusions:Different can-cer organs showed variation in IFT80 expression. IFT80 can be distributed in the organs with mechanical motion function, such as lungs and stomach. IFT80 is distributed on the cell cilia and can adjust the number and length of the cilia by reducing IFT80 protein ex-pression. Through a variety of ways, IFT80 directly or indirectly participates in the proliferation of cancer cells. Thus, the lowest or nearly zero expression of IFT80 can be seen in cancer tissues of high-grade malignancy, such as advanced cancers with poor differentia-tion.

Objective To evaluate the regional cerebral metabolic changes in different episodes by magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) after explosive brain injury in rabbits. Methods Fortyfive New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into eight groups, ie, normal control group( 10 rabbits) and trauma group (35 rabbits). The explosive injury in trauma group was induced by explosion of 600 mg TNT equivalent of paper detonators at 6.5 cm above the rabbit brain. The rabbits in trauma group was divided into 1,6, 12, 24 hours, 3, 7, 14 days subgroups (6 rabbits per group). The survival rate was observed at different time points after explosive injury. The MRS was used to detect the regional cerebral metabolic changes including N-acetylaspartate (NAA)/creatine (Cr) ratio and choline(Cho)/Cr ratio as well as evolution of blast injuries over time. Results The rabbits survived for overseven days in the trauma groups, with typical brain contusion manifested by pathological and conventional MRI. Compared with the normal control group, the NAA/Cr ratio was markedly decreased at one hour after injury, slightly rose again at 24 hours and fell again after seven days. The Cho/Cr ratio was markedly increased at one hour after injury, slightly fell again at 12 hours and rose again at three days after injury. Conclusions MRS can manifest the regional cerebral metabolic changes of rabbits with explosive injury at different time points and hence provide a theoretical basis for understanding the local tissue changes and determining the type of tissue damage after blast injury.

OBJECTIVETo observe the impact of Rhizoma Coptidis (drug-chemical extract parts-components) on 3T3-L1 pre-adipocytes differentiation and adipocytes insulin resistance, and reveal the pharmacodyamic material basis of Rhizoma Coptidis on insulin resistance.
METHOD3T3-L1 pre-adipocytes were well cultured, and then induced to differentiate into fat cells by using dexamethasone, 3-isobutyl-1-methyl-xanthine and insulin together, and establish the insulin resistance model. Based on the experience of traditional medicine use, the adipocytes differentiation and the glucose consumption in the cell culture medium were observed independently.
RESULTAqueous extract, different chemical extract fraction and different alkaloid extract from the herb showed inhibitory effects on 3T3-L1 pre-adipocytes differentiation, especially the compound coptisine significantly inhibited the differentiation in the concentration of 16.5 micromol x L(-1), but non-alkaloid extract from the herb promoted cell differentiation significantly in the concentration of 6.0 micromol x L(-1). Each treatment group, especially jatrorrhizine hydrochloride (in the concentration of 10.5 micromol x L(-1)) significantly decreased the concentration of glucose in 3T3-L1 adipocytes culture, at the same time improved insulin resistance. These effects are similar to the role of rosiglitazone maleate.
CONCLUSIONRhizoma Coptidis significantly improved insulin resistance, prevented pre-adipocytes differentiation. Its efficacy may be the synergistic effect of various components. Meanwhile, its role in inhibiting differentiation of pre-adipocytes indicates that coptis to increasing glucose uptake dose not cause fat accumulation and weight increasing. This has some clinical significance in the insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome.
