1.Experimental research on T cell vaccination combined with FK506 against the rejection heterogenic transplantation on peripheral nerve

Objective To investigate the anti-rejection effect of T cell vaccination combined with FK506 of heterogenic transplantation on rat nerve. Methods SD rats were vaccinated by the spleen cells of BABL/c mice; T cell vaccines were activated and vaccinated in the spleen cells of these SD rats. The SD rats of nerve transplantation recipient were vaccinated with T cells combined with FKS06. The mixture lymphocytes culture, microcytotoxicity assay, histological alteration of nerves, humid weights of tibial anterior muscle were observed to confirm the anti-rejection effect of T cell vaccination combined with FK506 treatment. Results The humid weights of tibial anterior muscle of the vaccinated rats combined with FKS06 treatment were statistically different from those in control group (P < 0.05), and so as the index of rejection (e.g. lymphocytes transformation efficiency) (P < 0.05). Conclusion T cell vaccination combined with FK506 treatment can inhibit the rejection of heterogenic transplantation on rat peripheral nerve.

Severe tendon injury will impair the mobility and quality of life of ordinary patients and come as a major blow to the career of professional athletes. As the current surgical treatment of tendon injury cannot achieve satisfactory results, the injury is still challenging for clinicians. The discovery of tendon stem/progenitor cells (TSPCs) and the continuous in-depth study of them provide a new direction for tendon repair and regeneration, and promote the continuous development of tendon tissue engineering. This article systematically summarizes the characteristics, aging, isolation and culture of TSPCs in tendon repair, and progress in their related applications as well. The research direction of TSPCs is also analyzed and prospected.

Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of overtime work on neck musculoskeletal disorders of occupational population in China.Methods:In August 2023, the literatures on the relationship between overtime work and neck musculoskeletal disorders were searched in China National Knowledge Infrasture (CNKI), WanFang Database, Chinese Science & Technology Journal Database (VIP), China Biomedical Literature Service System (SinoMed) and PubMed. The search scope was Chinese and English literatures published before June 30, 2023. The Quality of literature studies was evaluated using the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) cross-sectional study quality evaluation criteria. The Stata 15.0 software was used to calculate combined OR values, and subgroup analysis and meta regression were used to explore the sources of heterogeneity. Results:A total of 32 literatures were included, all of which were in Chinese, with a total sample size of 36003 people, and the literature quality scores were 5-7 points. Heterogeneity test showed that there was no heterogeneity between the literatures ( I2=20.3%, P=0.156), so fixed effect model was selected to calculate the combined OR value. The combined OR value of overtime work on neck musculoskeletal disorders was 1.51 (95% CI: 1.42-1.60, P<0.001). Subgroup analysis showed that the combined OR of occupational population <35 years old group was higher than that in the ≥35 years old group ( P<0.05). But there were no significant differences in the combined OR values in the subgroups classified by average years of service, male proportion, type of OR values, sample size and industry classification ( P>0.05) . Conclusion:Overtime work is a risk factor for neck musculoskeletal disorders in Chinese occupational population. Working hours should be rationally arranged to reduce the prevalence of neck musculoskeletal disorders.

Objective:To explore the psychological state and affected factors of elderly patients with hip fractures.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 156 elderly hip fracture patients(>65 years) admitted to the Department of Orthopaedics, the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University from January 2016 to August 2019 was performed. General and psychological information were collected by questionnaire.General information included age, gender, education, whether surgery, length of stay.SCL-90, a self-assessment scale, was chosen as the psychological test to analyzed the elderly hip fracture patients′ psychological status during hospitalization and the norms of SCL-90 in Chinese which were established in 1986 were used as the control group. The prognostic factors were examined by univariate and multivariate analysis.Results:Somatization, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, paranoid factor scores, and total scores of the elderly hip fracture patients were significantly higher than control group(all P=0.00).Univariate analysis and logistic regression analysis showed that non-surgery treatment and more than 10 days of hospitalization were independent prognostic factors that affected the psychological state of elderly hip fracture patients (all P=0.00). Conclusion:Elderly patients hospitalized with osteoporosis and hip fractures are prone to have negative emotional and psychological changes.The length of hospitalization and the choice of treatment can affect patients′ psychological state, suggesting that effective psychological intervention is necessary.

8.Exercise therapy for the treatment of chronic nonspecific lower back pain through mechanical-chemical coupling

BACKGROUND:Currently,exercise therapy is an effective non-pharmacological treatment for low back pain,and exercise therapy can maintain lumbar spine stabilization through mechanical-chemical coupling between bones and muscles,but there is no clear description of the research progress and optimal treatment protocols for exercise therapy to relieve chronic non-specific lower back pain through mechanical-chemical coupling. OBJECTIVE:To review the research progress related to the influence of paravertebral muscles on lumbar spine stabilization during exercise therapy through mechanical-chemical coupling,which in turn relieves chronic non-specific lower back pain,as well as the current optimal treatment protocols of exercise therapy for chronic non-specific lower back pain. METHODS:Literature searches were performed in WanFang database,CNKI,VIP,Web of Science,and PubMed database,with search terms of"chronic non-specific low back pain,lumbar spine stabilization,paravertebral muscles,exercise therapy"in Chinese and English.Relevant literature published from database inception to January 2024 was searched and 93 articles were included for final summarization. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Exercise therapy can act on the paravertebral muscles and bones through appropriate mechanical stimulation and produce corresponding changes.Exercise therapy is an important intervention for chronic non-specific lower back pain as it improves the quality of the paravertebral muscles,primarily through mechanical-chemical coupling,and thus maintains lumbar spine stabilization for better relief of chronic non-specific lower back pain.However,there are no clear reports on the exact effective protocols for exercise therapy to treat chronic non-specific lower back pain through lumbar spine stabilization.The development of an individualized exercise program is particularly important for the treatment and prognosis of chronic non-specific low back pain.Muscle mass and bone mass of the same individual are closely related,and imaging assessment of paravertebral muscle mass and quantity is important for disease detection and intervention.

10.Investigation and analysis of indoor radon concentration of urban residents in Shiyan, China

Objective To monitor the indoor radon concentration of urban residents in Shiyan, China, and to analyze the related influencing factors. Methods From April to July, 2019, RSKS standard detectors were used to measure the indoor radon concentration of 125 households in Shiyan, and the results were analyzed. Results The indoor radon concentration of residents in Shiyan showed a skewed distribution, ranging from 13.8 to 145 Bq/m3, and M (P25,P75) was 38.3 (29.0,62.0) Bq/m3. The estimated annual effective dose of radon and radon daughters from inhalation was 0.52-5.50 mSv, and M (P25,P75) was 1.45 (1.10, 2.36) mSv, which was consistent with literature. Building structure (H = 14.10, P < 0.001), floor (H = 24.41, P < 0.001), and geographical region (H = 8.963, P < 0.05) were influencing factors of indoor radon concentration, and the differences were significant. Conclusion The indoor radon concentration of urban residents in Shiyan is lower than the national standard limit. However, in daily life, it is still necessary to take appropriate measures to reduce the concentration of indoor radon as much as possible.
