Homeostasis between the host and viruses is naturally maintained.On the one hand,the immune system activates the immune re-sponse to kill or eliminate viruses;on the other hand,the immune system controls the immune response to maintain immune homeostasis. The cause of persistent infections with hepatitis viruses such as HBV and HCV is that viral molecules damage the immune system of the host and their variants escape immune clearance.Long-term coexistence of the host and viruses is the process involving various immune cells and molecules and is the result of homeostasis maintenance in antiviral immune response.The immune homeostasis maintained during persis-tent infections with hepatitis viruses is analyzed by the cellular and molecular mechanisms.

Red blood cell sorbitol contents were determined with a enzymatic method in 37 diabetics and 19 controls. The fasting blood glucose (FBG) levels and RBC sorbitol contents in the diabetics were significantly higher than that in the controls. RBC sorbitol was positively correlated to FBG, but not to the age of the patients or the type and duration of diabetes mellitus. 5.Adjuvant effect of flavored Siwu granules for phlegm and blood stasis mutual junction retinal vein occlusion

AIM: To evaluate the effect of flavored Siwu granules in the clinical adjuvant treatment for phlegm and blood stasis mutual junction retinal vein occlusion.
METHODS: Sixty patients (60 eyes) were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, both with retinal laser photocoagulation and intravitreal injection of triamcinolone acetonide, but the treatment group used flavored siwu granules. Vision, fundus change, fundus fluorescein angiography, clinical syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine ( TCM ), hemorheology examination and safety assessment were evaluated before and 8wk after treatment.
RESULTS: At 8wk after treatment, there were differences on vision improvement, retinal circulation time, whole blood low shear viscosity and total efficient rate of clinical syndrome of TCM, compared with control group(P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION: Flavored siwu granules adjuvant for phlegm and blood stasis mutual junction retinal vein occlusion can improve visual acuity and reduce the eye complications.
6.Pathogens and Antibiotic Resistance Analysis in Urinary Tract Infection

OBJECTIVE To investigate the bacterial distribution and antibiotic resistance situation with urinary tract infection(UTI) for the guidance of rational use of antibiotics.METHODS The antibiotic resistance of clinical isolates from urinary tract infection from Mar 2005 to Jul 2006 was analyzed. RESULTS The most common pathogens in urinary tract infection were Escherichia coli(50.2%),Enterococcus(14.4%),Staphyloccus aureus(8.7%),Klebsiella pneumoniae(7.3%),and Proteus mirabilis(3.9%).E.coli,K.pneumoniae,and P.mirabilis were found to be highly resistant to ampicillin,quinolones and SMZ(70.6-100.0%).Enterococcus were highly resistant to penicillin and quinolones(81.0-96.8%).41.4% of E.coli and 31.3% of K.pneumoniae isolates produced ESBLs.HLGR-Enterococcus were 79.4%.78.9% S.aureus isolates were resistant to oxacillin.CONCLUSIONS The high antibiotic resistance of commonly encountered pathogens is a serious problem and much attention should be paid to detect pathogens and their antibiotic resistance.

Chlorogenic acid displays several important roles in the therapeutic properties of many herbs, such as antioxidant activity, antibacterial, antiviral, scavenging free radicals and exciting central nervous system. Only about one-third of chlorogenic acid was absorbed in its prototype, therefore, its gut metabolites play a more important role in the therapeutic properties of chlorogenic acid. It is necessary to consider not only the bioactivities of chlorogenic acid but also its gut metabolites. This review focuses on the potential activities and mechanisms of chlorogenic acid and its gut metabolites on central nervous system diseases.

9.Study on application of hospital-school combined three-dimensional teaching mode in the operation nursing practice teaching

Objective To explore the effect of application of hospital-school combined three-dimensional teaching mode in the operation nursing practice teaching.Methods 129 students were collected by cluster sampling,then based on class unit,they were randomized into the experimental group (69 students) and the control group (60 students).The experimental group used hospital-school combined threedimensional teaching mode and the control group used traditional teaching mode.Then,both groups had finished an operation nursing comprehensive theoretical examination and a self-report questionnaire for mastery of basic knowledge of operation nursing.Besides,the experimental group had a questionnaire survey of cognitive evaluation for the new teaching mode.Results The average score of operation nursing comprehensive theoretical examination of the experimental group was (77.81 ±9.87),higher than the control group (70.35±12.37); The self-report score for mastery of basic knowledge of operation nursing of the experimental group was (3.94±0.45),higher than the control group (3.68±0.46).The students of the experimental group also considered that the new teaching mode improved their comprehensive knowledge and innovative abilities,critical thinking ability,humanistic care spirit,communication ability,team cooperation ability and innovation ability,etc.Conclusions The effect of application of hospital-school combined three-dimensional teaching mode in the operation nursing practice teaching was good,but it still had some limitations which needed us to pay attention to and to perfect.

Objective To investigate the methods of anesthesia,infusion and the skill of removing urinary calculus for the treatment of uretemlith stones using ureterescope air pressure path lithoclasty.Methods Six hundred and ninety ureterolith stone patients using ureterescope air pressure path lithoclasty,383 patients were anesthetized by single sacro-anesthesia,and the diclofenac sodium suppositories were added in 312 cases to strengthen the anesthesia effeets.Antegrade perfusion with furosemide in the operation was used.Results Broken the stones in orthophoria were successful in 645 patients.the total success rate Was 93.5%and the total rate of removing urinary calculus was 93.8%.Conclusions Ureteroscope air pressure path lithoclasty is high efficiency,safety and easy manipulation.It is a satinfactory method for the treatment of ureterolith stones,and the correct method of anesthesia and infusion perfect skill of removing urinary calculus can improve the rate of removing urinary calculus and decrease the costs.
