Journal of Chinese Physician 2010;12(1):51-54
Objective This study was performed to find the association of the severity of coronary artery disease with ordinary risk factors for CHD and left ventricle heart function in patients with CHD. Methods Selective coronary angiography were carried on 305 consecutive patients admitted to our hospital from December 2008 to April 2009. The severity of coronary disease was accessed by the Gensini scoring system. These patients were divided into two groups, patients with CHD group (251 cases) and control group (patients without CHD) (54 cases) , to compare the difference of ordinary risk factors for CHD between the two groups. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the association of the severity of coronary artery disease with ordinary risk factors for CHD. We also used linear correlation analysis to investigate the association of the severity of coronary artery disease with left ventricle ejection fraction in patients with CHD. Results The two groups had statistically difference on age, sex, smoking index, hypertension prevalence rate, serum glucose abnormal prevalence rate, diabetes prevalence rate, and metabolic syndrome prevalence rate( P < 0.05). We found that age (β_1 =0.251, P <0.01), sex (β_2 =0.235, P < 0.01), LDL-C concentration (β_3 = 0.241,P <0.01), duration of diabetes (β_4 =0.226, P <0.01) went into multiple linear regression model. We also found the severity of coronary artery disease had a negative correlation ( r = -0. 362, P <0.01) with left ventricle ejection fraction in patients with CHD. Conclusion When we decide to cany out coronary angiography on susceptible patients, we should consider their age, sex, smoking index, whether had hypertension, serum glucose abnormal, diabetes, metabolic syndrome or not. Age, sex, LDLC concentration, duration of diabetes affect severity of coronary artery stenosis independently. Left ventricle ejection function will decrease as coronary atherosclerosis continues.

3.Experimental study on the inhibitory effect of bevacizumab on choroidal neovascularization in rat
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2010;26(1):23-26
Objective To observe the inhibitory effects and characteristics of intravitreal injection with bevacizumab on laser-induced choroidal neovascularization (CNV).Methods Twelve male brown norway (BN) rats were divided into the bevacizumab group and control group with six rats in each group. One eye of rats were received a series of 8 diode laser esions around optic disc to induce CNV,then the rats in bevacizumab group and control group underwent intravitreal injection with 2 μl bevacizumab and ringer's lactate. On days 7,14,and 21,the morphology and leakage of CNV were observed by fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) and indocyanine green angiography (ICGA).On day 21 after photocoagulation, thephotocoagulated eyes were enucleated and processed for histopathologie examination, including hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining and immunohistochemistry staining for vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).Results On day 7 after photocoagulation,ICGA showed that CNV developed in the bevacizumab group and the control group.FFA showed that leakage intensity in the bevacizumab group was significantly lower than that in the control group, but the bevacizumab group gradually increased over time. The mean thickness of CNV significantly decreased in the bevacizumab group. The CNV in the bevacizumab group were negative for VEGF according to the result of immmuohistochemistry staining. Conclusions Early intravitreal injection with 2 μl bevacizumab can reduce the thickness of CNV and inhibit the leakage of CNV.However, bevacizumab could neither block the formation of CNV,nor suppress the permeability permanently.Combined other therapies with bevacizumab may be more potential to treat CNV effectively.

OBJECTIVETo determine the recognition of healthy medical students on deqi after acupuncture, reveal the qualitative and quantitative rules of deqi and understand whether these rules are the factors of the clinical application of acupuncture therapy.
METHODSThe class questionnaires were used for the investigation study on the understanding of deqi after acupuncture at Hegu (LI 4) or Zusanli (ST 36) in 86 healthy students in the clinical medicine class.
RESULTS(1) Deqi was a kind of complicated compound feelings, with many sensation qualities such as distending pain, distension and pain. (2) Deqi was a kind of mild and moderate sensations. In 10-score credit sys tem of Massachusetts General Hospital acupuncture sensation scale (MASS), the scores of distending pain (4.69 +/- 2.83), distension (4.39 +/- 2.91) and soreness and distension (3.93 +/- 2.93) were around 5 (moderate degree), the scores of stabbing pain (1.89 +/- 2.02) were around 2 (mild degree). (3) The differences in the quantitative scores were significant for stabbing pain, distending pain, distention, soreness and distention and the others before and after treatment (all P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONDeqi of acupuncture is the mild and moderate complicated sensations manifested as distension, soreness, pain and numbness. As the invasive therapy, the filiform needle puncture will bring a certain psychological impacts on the receptors. The subjective sensation is possibly the factor for the patients' selection of acupuncture treatment.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2011;10(3):207-209
In our gastroenterology clinic from Jun. 2008 to Jan. 2009, 20. 9% (277/1320) patients were diagnosed with functional dyspepsia (FD) and 14. 8% (41/277) of them with psychological problems according to Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). In those with psychological disorders,92.7% were found with somatization, 60. 9% with depression and anxiety, 97.6% with abdominal pain,75.6% with bloating, 63.4% with early fullness and 36. 6% with nausea. More than 80% patients with anxiety and depression complained irritability, worry, fatigue, poor concentration, memory loss and insomni.a. After 4 weeks of psychological consultation and anti-depression treatment, 5 patients had significant improvement, 31 had improvement and 3 had no response. The overall response rate was 87. 8%.In summary, there is a high prevalence of depression and anxiety in population with FD. Hypochondria and somatization are common among these patients. Psychological consultation with anxiolytic drugs may have good therapeutic effects.

To understand the structure of the soluble region of Enterovirus 68 3A protein, we construct a prokaryotic expression vector expressing the soluble region of EV-D68 3A protein, and identify the forms of expression product after purification. The EV-D68 3A(1-61) gene was amplified by PCR and then cloned into the expression vector pET-28a-His-SUMO. The recombinant plasmid was transformed into Escherichia coli BL21 induced by IPTG to express the fusion protein His-SUMO-3A(1-61). The recombinant protein was purified by Ni-NTA Agarose and cleaved by ULP Protease to remove His-SUMO tag. After that, the target protein 3A(1-61) was purified by a series of purification methods such as Ni-NTA, anion exchange chromatography and gel filtration chromato- graphy. Chemical cross-linking reaction assay was taken to determine the multiple polymerization state of the 3A soluble region. A prokaryotic expression vector pET28a-His-SUMO-3A(1-61) expressing the solution region of EV-D68 3A was successfully constructed and plenty of highly pure target proteins were obtained by multiple purification steps . The total protein amount was about 5 mg obtained from 1L Escherichia coli BL21 with purity > 95%. At the same time, those results determined the homomultimer form of soluble 3A construct. These data demonstrated that the expression and purification system of the soluble region of 3A were successfully set up and provide some basic konwledge for the research about 3A crystal structure and the development of antiviral drugs targeted at 3A to block viral replication.
