Objective To investigate the effect of penehyclidine hydrochloride (PHC) on iNOS expression in lung in septic mice. Methods Female KM mice were subjected to cecal ligation and puncture (CLP,a model of polymicrobial sepsis) or shame operation.Thirty-six KM mice weighing 20~25 g were randomly assigned into three groups:shame CLP group,CLP group and PHC group.Mice in PHC group were given PHC 0.45 mg/kg intraperitoneally at 1 h before CLP. Six hours after CLP,the lungs of each group were sampled for light and electronic microscopy. The expression of iNOS mRNA in lung tissue were detected by in situ hybridization. The survival rates were observed at 24 h after the operation. Results The CLP group was observed thickened alveolar septa,as well as mitochondrial cristae swelling and mitochondrial vacuolation under electronic microscope.Emptied lamellar bodies could be also found.Histology of lung in PHC group had little changed.Expression of iNOS in lung in PHC group was significantly lower than that of the CLP group. At 24 h after CLP challenge,70.0% of the PHC mice lived, remarkably increased compared with that of the CLP group (26.7%),P<0.05.Conclusion PHC had effective effect for increasing the survival rates of septic mice, inhibiting the expression of iNOS and reducing the severity of lung injury.

Objective To observe the security, major cardiac adverse events and target lesion revascularization (TLR) in patients underwent Sirolimus Eluting Stents and Paclitaxel Eluting Stents implantation. Methods A total of 224 consecutive patients from Dec, 2002 to Dec, 2004 who randomized to receive SES and PES implantation were enrolled with 168 male cases and 56 female cases. The average age was 60.9?11.1 years (35-86 yrs) and the median follow-up period was 13.4?6.7 months (3-27 ms). Results There was no difference in baseline characteristics between both groups. No acute and subacute thrombosis events occurred in both groups but two delayed thrombosis occurred in the PES group. There were six MACEs in the PES group, and among them two patients occurred delayed thrombosis and four patients underwent target lesion revascularization. There was one patient underwent TLR in the SES group. Conclusion Both drug eluting stents reduced MACEs and TLR, but the rate of delayed thrombosis, MACEs and TLR was lower in the SES group than in the PES group.

Objective To study the effect of valsartan eluting-stent on vascular neointimal formation and angiotensin Ⅱ type 2 receptor (AT2R) expression and to access its feasibility to prevent in-stent restenosis and the mechanism. Methods Both the valsartan eluting-stents and the carrier eluting-stents were made with multi-layers coated methods. Bare stents, carrier eluting-stents and valsartan eluting-stents were implanted into the rabbits' abdominal aortias respectively. Abdominal aorta angiography was performed before and right after the operation and at 3 months after stent inplantation. The mean diameter of aortas in different groups were measured by Quantitative coronary angiography software. All the rabbits were killed 3 months after the procedure and the cross section of the stented vessel were analysed for neointimal formation. The luminal area, neointimal area, inner elastic membrane luminal area and the maximal inner-membrane thickness were compared between the 3 groups. The expressions of AT2R mRNA and the protein were determined by RT-PCR and histomorphometry. Results There were no significant differences in the mean aortic diameters among the 3 groups. The greatest luminal area and the minimal neointimal hyperplasia was found in the valsartan eluting-stents group compared with the other two groups. The mean luminal areas of the bare stents, carrier eluting stents and the valsartan eluting-stents were 4 345 548?1 258 22 ?m2, 4 302 061?167 952 ?m2 and 5 016 269?207 934 ?m2; the mean neointimal areas were 1 119 635?163 503 ?m2, 1 135 636?136 555 ?m2 and 441 577?74 099 ?m2 and the mean maximal inner-membrane thickness were 210?30 ?m, 192?21 ?m and 116?12 ?m respectively. The level of AT2R mRNA expression in the valsartan eluting-stents group was higher than that in the other two groups. The transcription of AT2R protein showed similar trend. Conclusion Valsartan eluting-stents enhanced AT2R mRNA and protein expression and inhibited neointimal hyperplasia which might play an important role in preventing restenosis.

Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2004;0(03):-
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) and developmental coordination disorder(DCD) are both childhood disorders identified in the DSM-Ⅳ.Studies investigating ADHD have found that around half of ADHD cases also have motor problems severe enough to be diagnosed as DCD.Further, children initially diagnosed as DCD have also been found to meet moderate to severe diagnosis for ADHD.Both disorders have been linked to a lot of psychosocial problems.Furthermore, when ADHD and DCD are co-morbid,the outcome tends to be more severe than when either disorder occurs alone. In the past decade, many studies identified shown that ADHD children experienced difficulties with both fine motor movements and gross motor movements.Notably, most of these foregoing studies found balance functions of ADHD were impaired. In order to maintain balance under a verity of environmental conditions, sensory information from somatosensory, visual, and vestibular origins must be integrated by the central nervous system. But there are rich evidences suggesting that children with ADHD can not organize the motor information effectively. The maintenance and control of posture and balance, whether in static or dynamic conditions, are essential requirements for daily activity. The balance function has been closely associated not only with both gross motor movements, such as sitting, standing, walking and fine motor movements, but also with human behaviors. There are increasing evidences suggesting that balance deficit correlates with symptoms of ADHD.Therefore, motor coordination difficulties co-occurring with ADHD should be given emphasis in clinical practice;the training of balance may be one of the possible methods to improve the motor coordination function in ADHD children.
6. Clinical analysis of 32 cases of primary malignant germ cell tumors in mediastinum
Tumor 2007;27(10):829-831
Objective: To analyze clinical features, treatment and prognosis of primary malignant germ cell tumors (MGCT) of mediastinum. Methods: Thirty-two patients with primary malignant germ cell tumors of mediastinum received multi-modality treatment such as surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. There were 18 patients with seminomas and 14 patients with nonseminomatous germ cell tumors. Results: For patients with nonseminomatous germ cell tumors the median survival time was 32.4 months and the median progression-free survival (PFS) time was 18 months. Both the five-year disease free survival rate and the total survival rate were 28.6%. For patients with seminomas the five-year disease free survival rate was 83.3% and the total survival rate was 85.6%. And the median survival time and the progression-free survival time could not be calculated. Both the median survival time and the PFS time were longer in patients with seminomas than those with nonseminomatous germ cell tumors (P = 0. 0014 and 0. 0007, respectively). Conclusion: Multi-modality treatment for patients with primary mediastinal seminomas achieves better clinical outcomes. Our results are in accordance with others work reported in the literature. The therapeutic efficacy for nonseminomatous germ cell tumors should be improved. Nonseminomatous germ cell tumor is an important prognostic factor for mediastinal malignant tumors.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2016;40(1):10-12
By establishing a series of Dynamic Cervical Implants (DCI) within C5-C6 cervical spinal segments, the biomechanical finite element analysis for DCI with different width and thickness were carried out to investigate the influence of the width and thickness of DCI's curved section on its equivalent stress and range of motion (ROM), so as to provide some theoretical basis for the optimization of DCI's design. The results show that the width of DCI's curved section has more obvious influence on the ROM of lateral bending and torsion, in comparison with the thickness of DCI's curved section. By appropriate reduction in width, the ROMs of lateral bending and torsion increase obviously, i.e. the overall movement function of patients is improved. Furthermore, the increase of equivalent stress could be counteracted by corresponding increase of thickness.
