1.Modified circumcision with a disposable suture device.
National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(6):541-544
OBJECTIVETo improve the methods and reduce the complications of circumcision with a disposable suture device.
METHODSThis study included 325 male patients aged 14-65 (mean 28.9) years, treated for redundant prepuce or phimosis by modified (n = 201) or conventional circumcision with a disposable suture device (n = 124). We compared the incidence of complications and the patients' satisfaction between the two surgical methods.
RESULTSCompared with conventional circumcision, the modified method showed a significantly lower incidence of postoperative bleeding (14.52% vs 2.49% , P < 0.05) and a lower rate of second surgery for penile hematoma (4.03% vs 0.50%, P < 0.05). The patients' satisfaction was markedly higher with the modified method (91.94%) than with conventional circumcision (97.51%) (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONModified circumcision with the disposable suture device can significantly reduce the incidence of postoperative bleeding and penile hematoma and therefore deserves wide clinical application.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(23):-
Objective To design and construct the vector of protein-rich tyrosine kinase 2 small RNA interference and investigate the effect of the recombinant plasmid on the proliferation of adult rat cardiac fibroblasts. Methods The pAVU6+27-PYK_2 siRNA expression vector was constructed by gene recombination, then transfected into the cultured adult rat cardiac fibroblasts by DOTAP method. PYK_2 mRNA and protein in cardiac fibroblasts were determined by RT-PCR and Western blotting respectively. Cell proliferation was tested by MTT and ~3H-TdR incorporation. Results The pAVU6+27-PYK_2 siRNA expression vector was successfully constructed. The recombinant plasmid can inhibit the proliferation of adult rat cardiac fibroblasts, as compared with control. Conclusion pAVU6+27-PYK_2 siRNA expression vector is efficient to suppress DNA synthesis of cardiac fibroblasts, which will be beneficial to further study of myocardial fibrosis.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2015;39(5):363-366
This paper developed a calculation method to acquire the yield load P of bone plate during four-point bending test. This method is based on the displacement--force (δ-F) curve function f(M)(δ) obtained from the test, each slope of the curve was calculated using piecewise smooth function and the line segment in f(M)(δ) elastic deformation area was searched by setting the minimum slope T. Slope S was obtained through linear fit so as to build parallel displacement function f(L)(δ). Then, approximating intersection point of f(M)(δ) and f(L)(δ) was obtained through linear interpolation. Thus, yield load P was acquired. The method in the paper was loyal to YY/T 0342-2002 regulation and was liable to program calculation. The calculating process was nothing to do with whether the initial point during the test was preloaded or unloaded, and there was no need to correct the original point. In addition, T was set in an ideal fitting level guaranteed by the fitting coefficient of determination R2, and thus S was very close to the real value, and P was with a high accuracy.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2012;24(8):540-543
Objective To analyse the survival time and related factors of patients with brain stem glioma who received 3DCRT.Methods Thirty-six patients with brain stem tumor were admitted from October 2004 to December 2008 and all received 3D-CRT with the dosage (50-54 Gy,25-30 f,5-6 weeks).During treatment, the patients’ outcomes were analyzed by observing the changes of symptoms, signs and adverse radiotherapy reaction and all of them were followed-up in the next 3 years. The survival data were analyzed by Kaplan-Meire method. Results The median survival time was 9 months in the 23 pediatric patients and 15 months in 13 adult patients.One-,two-and three-year survival rates between pediatric group and the adult group were 43.5 % (10/13) vs 76.9 % (10/13),26.1% (6/23) vs 46.2 % (6/13),8.7 % (2/23) vs 38.5 % (5/13).Karnofsky performance scale score at admission (x2 =20.059,P =0.000),tumor site (x2 =17.585,P =0.000),growth pattern (x2 =21.247,P =0.000) were associate with survival time. Conclusion 3DCRT is an effective therapy to brain stem glioma, childhood onset, pontine glioma, diffusion style and Karnofsky performance scale less than 80 are risk factors of poor prognosis.

AIM:To compare the therapeutic effect, adverse reactions and the costs between GM-CSF and G-CSF in treating leucopenia in chemotherapy of cancer.METHODS:Using pharmacoeconomic cost-effectiveness analysis,GM-CSF was compared with G-CSF in treatment of leucopenia in chemotherapy of cancer.RESULTS:The effective rate of GM-CSF was 80% with an average cost of 1 008 yuan in a therapeutic course, the cost-effective ratio being12.6,and that of G-CSF was 85.7% with an average cost of 2 304 yuan, the cost-effective ratio being 26.88.CONCLUSION:GM-CSF can effectively treat leucopenia in chemotherapy of cancer, and its cost-effective ratio ia superior to that of G-CSF.GM-CSF is worthy to be used clinically.

International Eye Science 2015;(5):895-897
?AlM: To evaluate the long - term effects of laser peripheral iridectomy ( LPl ) and trabeculectomy in treating early chronic angle-closure glaucoma.
?METHODS: Ninety-eight patients (102 eyes) with early chronic primary angle-closure glaucoma were randomly divided into two groups. Group A of 50 patients (54 eyes) was treated with LPl and group B of 48 patients (48 eyes) with trabeculectomy. After 3 - 8y of follow - up observation, comparison would be made from the perspectives of postoperative eyesight, intraocular pressure, anterior chamber angle, visual field and cup/disc ratio ( C/D) .
?RESULTS:ln group A, 24 eyes with eyesight declining, 22 eyes with theintraocular pressure>21mmHg (1mmHg=0. 133kPa), 21 eyes with chamber angle synechia >180o, 21 eyes with visual field narrowed, 21 eyes with C/D ratio enlarged. The results of group B for the same items were 10, 5, 4, 4, 4 eyes respectively. The comparative difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05).
?CONCLUSlON:Good effects will be achieved for early-stage chronic angle - closure glaucoma with surgical method. Trabeculectomy is obviously better than LPl for the long-term effects.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1994;0(04):-
Objective To analyze the clinical features, curative effect and prognosis of extra-pulmonary infections by mycoplasma pneumoniae(MP).Methods ELISA was used to detect anti-MP IgM and IgG.Case histories of 226 patients, whose nasopharyneal lotione and respiratory secretions were positive of virus and bacteria respectively, was analysed retrospectively. Results One hundred and eighteen of the 226 (52.2%) cases suffered from extra-pulmonary infection.Of these infections 38.98%,33.89%,21.11% and 17.79% were found in digestive, urinary, cardiovascular systems and serous membrane respectively. All of the cases were improved after treatment with macrolides antibiotics. All cases were MP IgM positive,35.5% cases were IgG positive.Spatum MP positive rate was 32.2%.Positive rate of cold-agglutination test was 47.46%.Conclusions MP infection may cause many extra-pulmonary complications. When multi-organ infections can not be explained with bacterial and viral infections,MP infection should be considered.

Multimedia teaching and SimMan,which is a portable and advanced patient simulator for team training, were used to develop a new course for the medical students of grade four. This course was named "SimMan clinical techniques training". The course of Sim-Man clinical techniques training can help students comprehend truly all kinds of cases in clinical practices, improve their capabilities of clinical thoughts and clinical techniques, and it makes fine basis for their clinical practices in the hospitals.
