Objective To compare the safety of dexmedetomidine-versus remifentanil-based topical anesthesia for awake intubation.Methods PubMed,EMBASE,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,Chinese Biomedical Database,CNKI and Wanfang Database were searched from January 1990 to April 2016 for randomized controlled trials involving the safety of dexmedetomidine-and remifentanil-based topical anesthesia for awake intubation.The following data were extracted:the rate of successful intubation at first attempt and development of hypertension,hypotension,bradycardia,tachycardia,respiratory depression,bucking,body movement,sore throat,hoarseness and postsurgical memory of intubation.Meta-analysis was conducted using the RevMan 5.3 software.Results Ten studies involving 528 patients were included in this meta-analysis,and there were 262 cases in dexmedetonidine group and 266 cases in remifentanil group.Compared with remifentanil group,the incidence of respiratory depression and postsurgical memory of intubation were significantly decreased (P＜0.05),and no significant change was found in the rate of successful intubation at first attempt and incidence of hypertension,hypotension,bradycardia,tachycardia,bucking,body movement,sore throat and hoarseness in dexmedetomidine group (P＞0.05).Conclusion Dexmedetomidine-based topical anesthesia provides higher safety than remifentanil-based topical anesthesia when used for awake intubation.

Hemagglutinin and neuraminidase, two important glycoproteins on the surface of influenza virus, play a considerable role in the entry and release stage of the viral life cycle, respectively. With in-depth investigation of influenza virus glycoproteins and the continuous innovation of drug discovery strategies, a new generation of glycoproteins inhibitors have been continuously discovered. From the point of view of medicinal chemistry, this review summarizes the current advances in seeking small-molecule inhibitors targeting influenza virus glycoproteins, hoping to provide valuable guidance for future development of novel antiviral drugs.

Purpose To investigate the effects and the mechanism of oleum curcumae wenchowensis (OCW) with different concentrations (0, 2.5, 5, 10 and 20 mg/mL) on chronic myeloid leukemia cell line K-562 cells in vitro.Methods The apoptosis of K-562 cells was dyed by Hoechest 33258 and detected by flow cytometry marked with Annexin V/PI. The Expression of Fas/FasL, bcr/abl, bcl-2 and p53 was detected by semi-quantity reverse transcript-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blot.Results The results showed that the apoptosis rates were gradually elevated. The expression of Fas and FasL protein was increased in a concentration dependent manner, while bcr/abl, bcl-2 and p53 had no significant changes.Conclusion OCW could induce the apoptosis of K-562 cells by up-regulating the expression of Fas/FasL protein.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical efficacy of cutaneous branches of reverse second and third dorsal metacarpal artery fasciocutaneous flaps for repair of distal- and middle-segment finger soft tissue defects. MethodsA total of 14 patients with distal- and middle-segment finger soft tissue defects complicated by exposure of the phalanx or tendon were repaired by using cutaneous branches of second and third dorsal metacarpal artery fasciocutaneous flaps ranging between 2.0 cm × 4.5 cm and 3.0 cm × 7.0 cm.ResuitsAll of the skin flaps survived after surgery.Follow-up data during a 6-40 month period showed that the flaps exhibited a satisfactory appearance.They were not fat or clumsy,with a 2-point discrimination of 59 mm,and there was good recovery of finger function.The donor site was able to be directly sutured without dermoplasty.Pigmented linear surgical streaks appeared in the donor site.Conclusion The cutaneous branches of Second and third dorsal metacarpal artery fasciocutaneous flaps provide a good approach for the repair of distal- and middle-segment finger soft tissue defects and functional reconstruction because of convenient dissection,little trauma,sufficient use of the dorsal metacarpal artery.

Bacterial disinfectant resistance is the phenomenon that minimal inhibitory concentration or minimal bactericidal concentration of a certain disinfectant increases after a certain bacterium contacts with it many times. It exists widespread. Many species of bacteria are may resistant to a certain disinfectant, and a species of bacterium is may resistant to many disinfectant Disinfectant selectivity pressure is the extrinsic agent of bacterial disinfectant resistance. Resistance mechanisms include bacterial biochemistry structure, genetics pathway and enzymology pathway. There is relationship in disinfectant resistance and drug resistance. We should strengthen study and monitoring, enact unified standard and application specification to reduce bacterial disinfectant resistance.

To determine the relationship between the intercellular adhesion operon (ica) and the biofilm production in Staphylococcus epidennidis isolates from nosocomial infection, and the affection of ica on the antibiotic susceptibility of the isolates, we collected 106 strains, epidermidis isolates from nosocomial infection specimen to detect their biofilm production by quantitative and qualitative method and investigate the existence of ica operon by PCR. The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) to erythromycin, ampicillin, cefoxitin, ceftriaxone, teco-planin, ciprofloxacin, tetracycline, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole and vancomycin were tested. Among the isolates, 33 (31. 1% ) of them were detected out carrying ica operon. The rate of biofilm production of the ica-posi-tive isolates was higher than that of the ica-negative (P =0. 001) . By adding glucose and NaCl into the culture the detection rate of biofilm production could be increased. The antibiotic susceptibility of the plankton cells of ica-positive isolates to erythromycin, cefoxitin and ceftriaxone , except ampicillin, ciprofloxacin, tetracycline and tremethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, were lower than those of ica-negative isolates. This study showed that the existence of ica operon was close related to the biofilm formation in 5. epidermidis isolates from nosocomial infection. However, the mechanism of antibiotic resistance of the strains inside the biofilm still needed to be illustrated.
