Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2018;49(10):2353-2358
Objective To study the chemical composition from the seeds of Annona squamosa. Methods The components of annonaceous acetogenins from the seeds of A. squamosa were isolated and purified by extracting and chromatography separation. The structures of the compounds were identified by their physicochemical properties, UV, NMR, and mass spectrometry data. Results Seven annonaceous acetogenins were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of the seeds from A.squamosa. They are 3-[7-[5- [1,4-dihydroxy-4-[5-(1-hydroxytridecyl)-2-furanyl] butyl] tetrahydro-2-furanyl]-2-hydroxyheptyl]-5-methyl-2(5H)-furanone (1), 3-[9-[5-(1-hydroxy-4-heptadeceneyl) tetrahydro-2-furanyl] hydroxynonyl]-5-methyl-2 (5H)-furanone (2), bullatalicin (3), squamostatin A (4), squamostatin D (5), bullatacin (6), and 10-hydroxyasimicin (7). Conclusion Compounds 1 and 2 are two new compounds, named as trilobalicin I (1) and D20-solamin B (2), respectively.

International Eye Science 2014;(12):2250-2251
AlM: To explore the clinical significances and changes of related parameters of corneal endothelial cell in keratouveitis patients before and after treatment.
METHODS:Fifty-two keratouveitis patients ( 52 eyes ) diagnosed and treated in our hospital from October 2012 to December 2013 were collected. Before and after treatment, the related parameters of corneal endothelial cell in all patients were measured with non - contact corneal specular microscope and these parameters were statistically analyzed.
RESULTS: Compared with the normal group, obvious endothelial cell edema and great variation was observed in diseased group. The shorter duration of treatment, the better the recovery of endothelial cells and the fewer cells lose. Conversely, the longer the healing of normal hexagonal cell ratio was smaller, the larger the coefficient of variation. Before and after treatment, the differences of each parameter were statistical significance (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSlON: The functional recovery of corneal endothelial cell has directly relation with disease times.

italic>γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a crucial inhibitory neurotransmitter found in various cells in the human body. While the GABAergic system is typically associated with the nervous system, recent research has revealed that immune cells and tumor cells also express components of this system. In the tumor microenvironment (TME), GABA is secreted to act extracellularly on other cells. GABA is metabolized

Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2010;19(2):145-148
Objective To study the impact of implanted thermoseeds of magnetic induction hyperthermia on radiation dose distribution. Methods To simulate irradiation, an anthropomorphic phantom and three-dimensional treatment planning system were used. The impact of thermoseeds on radiation dose distribution was evaluated. Results The change of absorbed dose caused by the implantated thermoseeds was less than 1.5%. Conclusions The impact of implanted thermoseeds on radiation dose distribution is small and comes up to the requirements that the total target dose uncertainty must be less than 5%. Therefore, the impact of thermoseeds on the absorbed dose in tissue can be ignored in clinical practice.

Objective To design a multiplex PCR for simultaneous identification and toxigenic type characterization of Clostridium difficile isolates. MethodsThree pairs of primers were designed for the amplification of a species-specific internal fragment of the tpi( triose phosphate isomerase) gene, an internal fragment of the tcdB ( toxin B) gene, and an internal fragment of the tcdA ( toxin A) gene. Twenty-one standard strains including Clostridium difficile ATCC 9689 and 47 isolates of Clostridium difficile were applied for the assessment of detection limit, specificity and detections of the multiplex PCR, respectively. Toxin A and Toxin B of 47 isolates were analyzed by ELISA. ResultsThe detection limit for DNA concentration of the multiplex PCR was 0.5 pg/μl. The specificity was determined to be 100%. Among the results of 47 isolates detected by multiplex PC R, 37 strains were tpi ( + )/tcdA (+)/tcdB ( + ), 10 strains were tpi ( + )/tcdA (-)/tcdB ( - ). Tpi ( + )/tcdA ( - )/tcdB ( + ) was not found. The toxin detection of 47 isolates by ELISA showed that 20 isolates were positive and 27 isolates were negative. Twenty isolates of toxin (+) by ELISA were all tpi( +)/tcdA( +)/tcdB(+) by multiplex PCR. ConclusionThe multiplex PCR method combined diagnosis and toxigenic type characterization contributes to the diagnosis for Clostridium difficile infection.

Objective:To investigate the clinical manifestations and distribution characteristics of dry eye patients with ocular discomfort symptoms in Jilin Province, and to analyze the relationship between the risk factors associated with dry eye and its severity. Methods:The secondary or tertiary hospitals in Jilin Province were randomly selected and used as screening bases from July 2014 to August 2015.1 173 people initiative to the hospital for eye examinations after publicity were selected.Questionnaire was used to collect the subjective symptoms of dry eye.The breakup time(BUT) of tear film, corneal fluorescein staining, meibomian gland and tear secretion were examined and the detection rate and risk factors of dry eye of the dry eye patients with different clinical characteristics were analyzed. Results: A total of 1 122 people was actually surveyed, 896 individuals were diagnosed as dry eye, and the prevalence rate was 79.8%. The prevalence rate of the females was higher than of the males(χ2 =4.070,P<0.05).The prevalence of dry eye between different ages was statistically significant(χ2 =61.547,P<0.05).The multivariate Logistic regression analysis results showed that the age ≥40 years (40-49 years,OR =6.313,95% CI: 3.498-11.393;50-59 years,OR =6.919,95% CI: 3.876-12.351;60-69 years,OR =5.175,95% CI: 2.650-10.104;over 70 years,OR =9.508,95% CI: 3.608-25.061), moderate grade of meibomian gland dysfunction(MGD) (OR =2.123,95% CI: 1.186-3.803), and the patients with rheumatoid arthritis (OR =2.186,95% CI: 1.098-4.353) and eye surgery (OR =3.692,95% CI: 1.204-11.323) were the risk factors for dry eye. While the occupation of farmer was a protective factor for dry eye (OR =0.351, 95% CI: 0.135-0.917).Conclusion:Age, occupation, MGD grade, rheumatoid arthritis and eye surgery history affect the occurrence of dry eye to a certain extent. So enough attention and appropriate health guidance should be given to reduce the incidence of dry eye.
