Objective To evaluate the feasibility of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) associated microbubble-enhancing contrast (“SonoVue”) therapeutic ablation of uterine fibroids in patients with pelvic operation history. Methods A total of 100 patients with uterine fibroid from October 2010 to December 2012 in Suining Central Hospital of Sichuan were treated with HIFU associated SonoVue. Among them, 50 patients had pelvic operation history. The no-perfused volume, median fractional ablation, ablation power rate, ablation dose, treatment time and adverse reaction were recorded. Results There was no statistical significance between patients with operation history and without in no-perfused volume and ablation does. The ablation power was lower in patients with operation than without. The treatment time and room time were longer in patients with operation than without. The adverse reactions were higher in patients with operation than without, especially skin pain and lower abdominal pain ( <0.05) . According to short- and long-term follow-up results, no major complications were observed in any patients. Conclusion Pelvic operation history increases the difficulty in treatment of HIFU ablation uterine fibroids. HIFU associated contrast agent SonoVue ablation can be considered a safe and feasible approach to the management of uterine fibroids in patients with pelvic operation history after grasping the indications and contraindications.

Membrane proteins are the main undertakers of biofilm function, and also the most important target group for innovative drug discovery and research. About 60% of drugs targets are membrane proteins. Due to the obvious aggregation and denaturation tendency of membrane proteins in aqueous solution, it is difficult to simulate the membrane like environment to maintain the correct conformation of membrane proteins

Objective To study the expression of VEGF-C and its receptor in breast carcinoma tissue and in peritumoral tissue,as well as their clinic significance. Methods Immunohistochemistry SP method was used to examine the expression of VEGF-C and VEGFR3 in 70 cases of breast cancer and in its peritu- moral tissue. Results In all 70 cases of breast cancer, the positive expression rate of VEGF-C in breast car- cinoma tissue was 78.6 %,and its rate in peritumoral tissue was 54.3 %.There was a significant stastistic dif- ference between the two groups(P

The abnormality of ubiquitin proteasome pathway is an important factor leading to the imbalance of protein homeostasis. In this process, the deubiquitinase responsible for removing the ubiquitin chain of protein substrate is very important. Its abnormal activity or expression can cause the functional changes of key oncogenic/tumor suppressor proteins, which directly or indirectly lead to the occurrence, development and malignant evolution of tumors. Based on this, the discovery and research of small molecule inhibitors targeting deubiquitinases have become a hot field of anti-tumor candidate drugs. This review will focus on the regulatory effect and mechanism of ubiquitin proteasome pathway, especially deubiquitinase on tumor, introduce the application of deubiquitinase small molecule inhibitors in tumor treatment, and discuss the research status and latest progress of small molecule inhibitors, so as to provide ideas for the research of new anti-tumor strategies based on deubiquitinase.

ObjectiveTo help physicians improve detection rate of depressive and anxiety disorders by exploring the complaints of gastrointestinal(GI) outpatients with these disorders in the general hospitals. Methods A multicenter cross-sectional study was conducted from May to June in 2007.A total of 1995 subjects from 13 general hospitals in China were screened with the hospital anxiety and depression scale ( HADS ) and patient health questionnaire 15-item (PHQ-15).Meanwhile patients'complaints were recorded.Psychiatrists interviewed subjects scored ≥8 on HADS and made diagnoses by using the mini international neuropsychiatric interview(MINI).There were 323 outpatients diagnosed as depressive or anxiety disorders and 1287 outpatients without diagnosis of depressive or anxiety disorders. The complaints and PHQ-15 sores were compared between these two groups. The logistic regression analysis was used to determine the risk of having depressive or anxiety disorders with the number of complaints as an independent variable.ResultsSome symptoms between two groups were statistically significant, including weakness(34.1% vs 18.8% ;χ2 =18.04; P=0.000),fatigue(9.6% vs 5.7% ;χ2 =6.58,P=0.010)and insomnia( 7.1% vs 3.4% ; χ2 =8.87 ; P =0.003 ).Logistic regression analysis showed that with each additional complaint, the odds for an interview-based diagnosis of depressive or anxiety disorders increased, the odds ratio(OR) was 1.12(95% CI,1.08 ~ 1.17,P=0.000).In comparison to the outpatients without depressive or anxiety disorders, outpatients with these disorders signifycantly had higher PHQ-15 scores (( 11.12 ± 4.92 ) vs (6.68 ± 4.05 ) ; t =16.84,P =0.000).ConclusionThe GI outpatients with depressive and/or anxiety disorders have worse mental heath and more complaints, compared to patients without these disorders. These results may help physicians to better identify depressive disorders and anxiety disorders.
