Objective To discuss the quantitative diagnosis of stagnation of Qi and blood stasis syndrome in chronic prostatitis. To make diagnosis chart and ensure diagnosis threshold level which provide statistics evidence for syndrome differentiation of TCM. Methods By the statistical ways, 168 cases of chronic prostatitis belong to stagnation of Qi blood and stasis syndrome and 198 cases of non-stagnation of Qi and blood stasis syndrome were investigated. To make a diagnosis chart and ensure diagnosis threshold level by applying the method of the maximum likelihood discriminatory analysis. Results The quantitative diagnosis chart was made and diagnosis threshold level was 26. According to the retrospective and prospective test, its sensitivity, especially degree, coincidence rate, error rate and positive likelihood ratio were 94.64%, 88.89%, 91.53%, 8.47%, 8.52 and 94.28%, 90.32%, 92.42%, 7.58%, 9.74. Conclusion The indexes of the quantitative diagnosis have good objectivity. According to the retrospective and prospective test, the diagnosis chart was proved to be practical.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of the inhibitory effect of ?-ray irradiation on rat vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMC). Methods The ef fect of ?-ray irradiation on proliferation of VSMC was observed by 3?H-TdR incor poration. After ?-ray irradiation, the VSMC cell cycle change was detected b y flo w cytometry. The expression of p53, cyclin D and PCNA was investigated by Wester n Blot. Results The inhibitory effect of ?-ray irradiation on VSMC proliferati on was dose-dependent. After ?-ray irradiation, VSMC was arrested in G 1 st age, w ith the expression of p53 increased but the expression of cyclin D and PCNA decr eased. Conclusions ?-ray irradiation can inhibit the proliferation of VSMC. T he main mechanism is probably due to the induction of cell cycle arrest and inhi bition of the VSMC mitosis ,during which process, p53,cyclin D and PCNA all pla y an important role .

Bulletin of The Academy of Military Medical Sciences 2001;25(1):13-16
Objective:To purify HLA-DR molecules. Methods: Anti-HLA-DR antibody L243 was purified and coupled with CNBr activated Sepharose 4B gel. Immunoaffinity column was used to purify HLA-DR molecules. Results:Twenty micrograms of HLA-DR molecules were isolated from about 5 g Epstein-Barr virus-transformed human B lymphoblastoid cell line RAJI lysates by affinity chromatography. The purified HLA-DR molecules existed in α/β heterodimers form and could bind to conformation-dependent antibody L243. These HLA-DR molecules were separated into two strands,α and β,by boiling denaturation. These results are the basis for studying MHC Ⅱ binding peptide motif and CD4+ T cell epitopes of antigens in future.

Objective To explore the risk factors affecting prognosis of children with Tourette syndrome(TS).Methods The follow-up visits were conducted on the clinical data of 98 cases with TS(85 male,13 female;aged 4-16 years old)from 1997 to 2005 in Wuhan children's hospital. All cases were consistent with the diagnostic criteria of TS in the 4th edition of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders(DSM-Ⅳ).The investigations were performed by the investigators who received special training using the unified questionnaire with the methods of direct inquiry or by telephone. The factors included sex, age, severity of TS,the primary symptoms, family history, coexisting diseases, basic diseases, perinatal abnormity and family-social relations. The prognosis of TS and these factors were analyzed by linear regression and stepwise regression with SPSS 12.0 software. Results About 16 cases lost follow-up and the other 82 cases with follow-up(72 male and 10 female)received retrospective review. They were 14 to 25 years old with complete data, and 50 cases healed,32 cases not healed. Results from non-conditional simple variant Logistic regression showed that such cases were associated with the following factors:age, family history of TS,severity of TS,coexisting diseases, basic diseases and perinatal abnormity(Pa0.05).Out of 6 suspicious factors, there were coexisting diseases(OR=84.088,95%CI 10.850-651.682),severity of TS(OR=13.956,95% CI 2.412-80.762),and family history of TS(OR=27.127,95% CI 1.047-702.831)of risk factors. Conclusion The long-term prognosis of children with TS may be related with coexisting disease, severity of TS and family history respectively.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate a knitted polypropylene mesh used for mammapexy in correcting the breast ptosis.
METHODSTwenty-one patients with the mild or moderate breast ptosis were undergoing the mammapexy with a knitted polypropylene mesh. The operation was performed through the periareolar incision and a monofilament knitted polypropylene mesh was subcutaneously implanted on the surface of the gland and fixed upward.
RESULTSAll of the patients were satisfactory of the appearance with the follow-ups from 2 to 16 months. No secondary ptosis, hypertrophic scars and foreign body reactions were found.
CONCLUSIONThe above-mentioned technique could be a good, safe and reliable method for correcting breast ptosis.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the clinical results after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair using a suture-bridge technique in late middle-aged adults.
METHODSA retrospective analysis of 30 patients with rotator cuff tears, who were treated consecutively between December 2012 and December 2013 at our clinic, was carried out to evaluate the outcome of arthroscopic suture-bridge technique. The visual analogue scale (VAS), the range of motion (ROM), the rating scale of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and the shoulder index of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) were determined as the evaluation criteria.
RESULTSThe mean follow-up period was 13 months. The follow-up rate was 100%. The study included 0 small, 16 medium, 12 large and 2 massive rotator cuff tears. At the latest follow-up, the VAS score decreased significantly from preoperative 6.3±3.2 to 0.8±1.4 at rest, and from preoperative 7.7±2.1 to 1.7±1.6 during motion. The UCLA score improved significantly from 15.1±4.6 preoperatively to 31.2±5.0 at follow-up. The ASES shoulder index improved significantly from 30.2±16.0 preoperatively to 80.4±13.0 at follow-up. The ROM improved significantly. The satisfactory rate was 94%. There were no complications.
CONCLUSIONThe results of this study indicate that the arthroscopic suture-bridge technique is an effective and reliable treatment for patients with rotator cuff tear in late middle-aged adults.

Chinese Journal of Experimental and Clinical Virology 2013;27(1):39-41
OBJECTIVETo explore the relationship between HBV genotypes distribution in hepatitis B patients and clinical manifestations in Beijing area.
METHODS200 HBsAg positive serum were choosen from 1148 serum samples. useing of nested PCR amplification method, HBV DNA S genes were Sequencing and typing; genotype distribution and the relationship with the clinical manifestation were Statistical analysis.
RESULTSIn Beijing area, HBV has B, C, D three genotypes, including B gene type 17 cases (12. 5%), C genotype 116 cases (85.2%), D genotype 3 cases (0.02%); in the carriers, patients with chronic hepatitis B, cirrhosis, liver cancer, B type have been gradually falling, C type have been gradually rising trend.
CONCLUSIONSerious liver disease relate with C type, B type patients with HBV infection is better than C type patients in clinical prognosis and antivirus treatment response.
