This article was aimed to evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture and flunarizine for migraine treatment. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in migraine treatment by acupuncture andflunarizine were searched in the Pubmed, Cochrane Library, CNKI, VIP, and W anfang database. The quality of inclusion criteria were assessedaccording to the CochraneCollaboration's recommended methodand the effective data was extracted. Then, the RevMan5.2 software was used in thesummary and analysis of the effective literatures. The results showed thatthe total sample size was893 cases, with 10 studies according to the inclusion criteria. Meta-analysis showed that the short-term efficacy of the treatment group was higher than the control group [RR = 1.27, 95%CI (1.11, 1.45), P<0.000 4];the long-term efficacy of the treatment group was higher than the control group [RR = 1.76, 95%CI (1.05, 2.94), P=0.03]; headache degree of improvement was better than thecontrol group [MD = -2.00, 95%CI (-3.01, -0.99), P=0.000 1]. It was concluded that acupuncture was more effective than flunarizinein migraine treatment. However, the whole study sample size was relatively small, thequality assessment was not high, and the funnel plot analysis was left-right asymmetry, which indicated the presence of publication bias. It was concluded that more high-quality clinical cases should be confirmed in the future.

Objective To investigate the efficiency of autologous transplantation of peripheral blood stem cell for treatment of patients with chronic lower limb ischemia. Methods Forty-six patients with chronic lower limb ischemia were treated by autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation. Results Fortytwo patients had pain relief on legs, and cold and cool feelings in lower limbs disappeared. Thirty-five patients had pain relief on feet, and 29 of them had disappearance of cold and cool feelings. Due to necrosis in middle and lower part of leg, 4 patients took extremity amputation after 4 weeks of the transplantation. In the 42 patients who kept their legs 3 months after transplantation, the distance of anginacruris extended from (87. 45 ±41.22) m to (348.52 ± 147.24) m, skin temperature increased from(28.52 ±0.51 ) ℃ to(33.56±0.62) ℃ ,and ankle-brachial index (ABI) increased from(0.48 ±0.06)to(0.75 ±0.07). There were statistical differences, and the scores of the distance of anginacruris, skin temperature, and ABI after transplantation were better than before. six months after transplantation autobiography of lower extremity was used, and neonatal lateral vessels of different degrees were found in 37 patients. Conclusion Autologous transplantation of peripheral blood stem cell is a simple, safe, and effective method, especially in treating patients with lower limb ischemia in which no arterial reconstruction is feasible.

Objective To study the clinical features bone marrow biopsy of secondary myelofibrosis(SMF).Methods 69 patients with secondary myelofibrosis were analyzed retrospectively, and the relationship between myelofibrosis degree and megakaryocyte count was analyzed. Results Analysis of 69 cases of patients with SMF, the original incidence included 20 cases (29.0 %)of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML),14 (20.3 %) cases of lymphoma,10 (14.5 %) cases of acute myeloid leukemia (AML),10 (14.5 %) cases of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS),6 cases(8.7 %)of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL),4 cases of multiple myeloma (MM),3 cases of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN),2 cases of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).There was no significant difference of the mygakaryocytes’ count and association of myelofibrosis with it was found (r=0.024,P=0.848). Conclusion Various clinical diseases of blood system may associated with secondary myelofibrosis. Bone marrow biopsy can be used to initial diagnostics of malignant disease of hematological system patients. When cellular examination of bone marrow is dry tap or dilution, which means higher incidence of SMF. Bone marrow biopsy plays an important role in diagnosis of SMF.

OBJECTIVETo explore the relationship between salivary proteome and dental caries and to promote the biomarker studies of dental caries susceptibility by comparing the salivary proteome of caries-active children and caries-free children with electrospray ionization ion-trap tandem mass spectrometry (ESI-MS/MS).
METHODSTen caries-active children and ten caries-free children were sampled. The salivary proteome of the two groups was studied, and the differential protein between the two groups was analyzed by ESI-MS/MS after sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, filter-aided sample preparation, and liquid chromatography.
RESULTSThe concentration of salivary protein was higher in the caries-active group than in the caries-free group. The polypeptide counts of thecaries-active and caries-free groups were 602 and 481, which belonged to 286 and 227 proteins, respectively. The differential polypeptide count of the two groups was 361, and the differential protein count was 118. The detected proteins included matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9), mucin-7 (MUC7), lactotransferrin (LTF), carbonic anhydrase 6 (CA6), azurocidin (AZU), and cold agglutinin.
CONCLUSIONThe total salivary protein was higher in the caries-active group than in the caries-free group. The preliminary detection of differential proteins (MMP9, MUC7, LTF, CA6, AZU, and cold agglutinin) may lay some foundation for biomarker research of dental caries susceptibility.

BACKGROUND:At present, the problems such as serious shortage of donor liver organs for transplantation, surgical injury, high incidence of surgical complications,as well as the high costs limit the development of liver transplantation, while the hepatic stem cell(HSC)transplantation provides a new pathway for the treatment of end-stage liver disease.OBJECTIVE:To introduce the source and classification of HSCs,research progress and problems of HSC transplantation for treatment of end-stage liver disease, and the clinical application prospects of HSC transplantation.METHODS:Articles were collected from CNKI and Medline database with the keywords of "hepatic stem cells, liver disease, transplantation" in both Chinese and English from 1999 to 2009.Among 87 articles,30 were included according to inclusion and exclusion criteria.Following reading titles and abstracts, original articles, and articles closely related to HSC transplantation with reliable argument and evidence and general analysis were included.Articles of repetitive studies and poor quality were excluded.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The HSC can be divided into liver-derived stem cells and non-liver-derived stem cells.Liver-derived stem cells include hepatic oval cells, mature liver cells and small hepatocyte-like progenitor cell.Non-liver-derived stem cells were mainly derived from embryonic stem cells, bone marrow hematopoietic stem cells and pancreatic stem cells.Currently, the research for the treatment of liver disease by HSC is still in its early stages. There are many difficult issues to be studied and solved in the discovery, separation, purification, comprehensive identification, cultivation, directed differentiation as well as clinical trials. However,as a new source of seed cells,HSC can not only replace the damaged tissue but can stimulate the receptor in tissue regeneration.Hence, compared with the clinical liver transplantation and bio-artificial liver, there are very bright future for the treatment of liver diseases by transplating HSC.
