To solve the problem that mostly gait analysis is independent from the treatment, this work proposes a system that integrates the functions of gait training and assessment for foot drop treatment. The system uses a set of sensors to collect gait parameters and designes multi-mode functional electrical stimulators as actuator. Body area network technology is introduced to coordinate the data communication and execution of the sensors and stimulators, synchronize the gait analysis and foot drop treatment. Bluetooth 4.0 is applied to low the power consumption of the system. The system realizes the synchronization of treatment and gait analysis. It is able to acquire and analyze the dynamic parameters of ankle, knee and hip in real-time, and treat patients by guiding functional electrical stimulation delivery to the specific body locations of patients.

Objective To compare the saccharometabolism with the pancreatic islets functions and insulin resistance index in children with severe stress. Methods Thirty children with severe stress and 30 healthy children in control group were tested. The levels of fasting blood glucose (FBG), fasting insulin (FINS) and fasting C - peptide (FCP) were detected by radioimmunoassay respectively and insulin sensitivity index (ISI), insulin resistance index (IR) and fasting blood cell function index (FBCI) were calculated statistically. Results There were significant differences between the children with severe stress and the normal controls in the levels of FINS, FCP and FBG,(all P0.05). Conclusion There is insulin resistance with the significant decrease in the insulin sensitivity index and significant increase in insulin resistance index in the children with severe stress, which may cause the disorder in glucose metabolism in children with severe stress.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the factors influencing the prognosis of penis-sparing surgery (PSS) for early-stage penile cancer.
METHODSWe retrospectively studied the clinical data about 45 cases of early-stage penile cancer treated by PSS from January 2007 to December 2014. We calculated the rate of local recurrence-free survival by the Kaplan-Meier method, and conducted univariate and multivariate COX regression analyses on the relevant factors including the patient's age, marital status, tumor location, tumor size, postoperative sexual life, histological grade, and TNM stage.
RESULTSOne-year and three-year local recurrence-free survival rates were 95.5% and 52.2%, respectively. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that the histological grade (P = 0.039) and postoperative sexual life (P = 0.049) were independent factors for the prognosis of PSS. Logistic regression showed the patients age to be significantly associated with histological grade (P = 0.014).
CONCLUSIONHistological grade and postoperative sexual life are important independent prognostic factors of PSS for early-stage penile cancer, and the patients age is associated with the prognosis of PSS through its influence on the tumor grade.

Objective To evaluate the method of establishment of a minipig model of ischemic heart failure(HF) with acute myocardial infarction(AMI) by coronary balloon occlusion and coadministration of injecting of microthrombi and plastic microspheres. Methods A total of eighteen minipigs were selected. After coronary angiography, angioplasty balloons were placed in the mid-distal of left anterior descending(LAD).The balloon was inflated intermittently to occlude the LAD 3 times and then to occlude it continuously for 120 minutes. After the balloon was taken out,4F Judkins-type angiogrphic catheter was superelectively engaged in LAD and 3 mL intermixture of mierothrombi and plastic microspheres were injected at 10 minites interval until TIMI myocardial perfusion was grade<2 and left ventfieular end-diastolic pressure was maintained from 15 to 18 mmHg.Electrocardiogram(ECG),hemodynamic perameters, ultrasonic cardiogram,cTnI and CK-MB were measured.Myocardial infarction area was evaluated by histopathology. Results Fourteen days later, fifteen minipigs survived and fourteen satisfied the criteria(pulmonary capillary wedge pressure.PCWP>18 mmHg and eardio output (CO) decreased beyond 30% ). The changes of ECG, hemodynamic perameters, CKMB, cTnI and cardiac pathologic examination were in accordance with AMI. Conclusion A stable experimental method of establishment of minipig model of ischemic heart failure (HF) with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) by coronary balloon occlusion and coadministration of injecting of microthrombi and plastic mierospheres is succeded. This method has advantages such as closed chest, higher success rate and stability compared with the drug induced, taehycardia-pacing induced, coronary artery ligation induced or microsphere injection alone methods.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the relationship of hemorheological parameters between Tibet mini-pigs, Beagle dogs and human.
METHODSBlood samples were collected from adult Tibet mini-pigs, Beagle dogs and human to detect such hemorheological parameters as the whole blood viscosity (WBV) (high, middle, and low shear rate), PV, HCT, ESR and Fi.
RESULTSThe male Tibet mini-pigs had significantly lower WBV (150, 30, 5, and 1 s(-1)) and Fi than the female mini-pigs (P<0.05, 0.01, 0.05, 0.01, and 0.01, respectively). The WBV of male Beagle dogs (150 and 1 s(-1)) was significantly lower that in than female dogs (P<0.05). The WBV of male human subjects (1 s(-1)) and HCT were significantly higher, but ESR significantly lower than those in female human subjects P<0.05, 0.01 and 0.01, respectively). WBV (1 s(-1)), PV, and ESR in Beagle dogs were significantly lower, but HCT and Fi significantly higher than those in Tibet mini-pig and human subjects (P<0.05, 0.01, 0.05, and 0.01, respectively). All the hemorheological parameters were similar between Tibet mini-pigs and human (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe hemorheological parameters of Tibet mini-pigs are closer to those of human than those of Beagle dogs.

OBJECTIVEThe circumferential pulmonary vein ablation (CPVA) has been proved effective for atrial fibrillation (AF) and is becoming more widely accepted. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the CARTO and the EnSite-NavX system and to compare between them on procedural parameters and clinical characteristics.
METHODSSeventy-five patients with paroxysmal or persistent symptomatic AF were randomly assigned to CPVA procedure guided by either the EnSite-NavX system (group I, n = 40) or the CARTO system (group II, n = 35). After successful transseptal procedure, a geometry of left atrium was created under the guidance of the two systems. Radiofrequency energy was applied to circumferential tissues out of pulmonary veins (PVs) ostia. In cases with persistent AF, linear ablation was applied to modify the substrate of LA. The endpoint of the procedure was complete PVs isolation.
RESULTSSeventy-four cases underwent a successful procedure. The total procedure and fluoroscopic time in group II was significantly shorter than those in group I (150 min +/- 23 min and 18 min +/- 17 min vs 170 min +/- 34 min and 25 min +/- 16 min, P = 0.03 and 0.04, respectively). There was no significant difference in the fluoroscopic and procedure durations for geometry creation between the groups I and II (8 min +/- 4 min and 16 min +/- 11 min vs 5 min +/- 4 min and 14 min +/- 8 min, respectively). The fluoroscopic time for CPVA was 15 min +/- 5 min in group I vs 10 min +/- 6 min in group II (P = 0.05), and the CPVA procedural durations were significantly shorter in group II than those in group (86 min +/- 11 min vs 110 min +/- 15 min, P = 0.04). AF was terminated by RF delivery in 14 cases (35%) in group Ivs 5 cases (14%) in group II (P = 0.04). Complete PV isolation was obtained in 26 cases (65%) in group Ivs 11 cases (31%) in group II (P = 0.004). During a mean follow-up of 7 months, 32 (80%) cases in group I and 24 (69%) cases in group II were arrhythmia-free (P = 0.06). One case developed pericardial tamponade and 1 case was found to have intestinal artery thrombosis in group II. One case had moderate hemothorax in group I. All the complications were cured and no PV stenosis was observed.
CONCLUSIONSThe CPVA procedure for atrial fibrillation is effective and safe. Although there is a difference between the CARTO and the EnSite-NavX system, the CPVA procedure guided by either of them yields similar clinical results.

BACKGROUNDThe circumferential pulmonary vein ablation (CPVA) has been proved effective for atrial fibrillation (AF) treatment and is becoming more widely accepted and practiced. This study aims to evaluate the characteristics of the CARTO and the Ensite/NavX system and draw a comparison between them on the aspects of procedural parameters and clinical effectiveness.
METHODSSeventy-five cases with paroxysmal or chronic symptomatic AF were randomly assigned to CPVA procedure guided by the Ensite/NavX system (group I, n = 40) and by the CARTO system (group II, n = 35). After successful transseptal procedure, the geometry of left atrium was created under the guidance of the two systems. Radiofrequency energy was applied to circumferentially ablate tissues out of pulmonary veins' (PVs') ostia. In cases with chronic AF, linear ablation was applied to modify the substrate of left atrium (LA). The endpoint of the procedure was complete PVs isolation.
RESULTSSeventy-five cases underwent the procedure successfully. The total procedure and fluoroscopic durations in group II were significantly shorter than in group I [(150 +/- 23) min and (18 +/- 17) min versus (170 +/- 34) min and (25 +/- 16) min, P = 0.03 and 0.04, respectively]. There was no significant difference in the fluoroscopic and procedure durations for geometry creation between group I and group II [(8 +/- 4) min and (16 +/- 11) min versus (5 +/- 4) min and (14 +/- 8) min, respectively]. The fluoroscopic durations for CPVA were (15 +/- 5) min in group I versus (10 +/- 6) min in group II (P = 0.05), and the CPVA procedural durations were significantly shorter in group II than in group I [(18 +/- 11) min versus (25 +/- 10) min, P = 0.04]. AF was terminated by radio frequency delivery in 14 cases (35%) in group I versus 5 cases (14%) in group II (P = 0.035). After CPVA complete PV isolation was attained in 26 cases (65%) in group I versus 11 cases (31%) in group II (P = 0.004). During a mean follow-up of 7 months, 32 (80%) cases in group I and 24 (69%) cases in group II were arrhythmia-free (P = 0.06). One case developed pericardium effusion and another one case was found to have intestinal artery thrombosis in group II. One case had moderate hemothorax in group I. All the complications were cured by proper treatment. No PV stenosis was observed.
CONCLUSIONSThe CPVA procedure for atrial fibrillation is effective and safe. Although there is difference between the CARTO and the Ensite/NavX system, the CPVA procedure guided by either of them yields similar clinical results.

With the sulfate as the materials and NaOH as precipitator, Mn(0.4)Zn(0.6)Fe2O4 nanoparticles were produced, which are proved to be spinel Mn-Zn ferrite analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD). Their shapes are approximately global examined by transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and their average diameter is 50 nm measured with image analysis-system. The Curie temperature was measured and in vitro heating test in a alternating magnetic field was carried out. The results show that the Curie temperature is 105. 407 degrees C, While its magnetic fluid could rise to 43 degrees C - 47 degrees C due to different concentration in a alternating magnetic field. The result provide theoretical and practical evidence to select an appropriate material and concentration for tumor
