OBJECTIVE:To improve the quality standard of Vitamin C yinqiao tablet, and to provide a theoretical basis for im-proving the standards and quality of medicines. METHODS:HPLC in Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2010 edition)was conducted to de-termine the content of chlorogenic acid, arctiin, vitamin C,acetaminophen, chlorphenamine maleate in Vitamin C yinqiao tablet from multiple manufacturers. RESULTS:There were big differences of the 5 components in Vitamin C yinqiao tablet among differ-ent manufacturers. CONCLUSIONS:The content determination method for Vitamin C yinqiao tablet contained in Chinese Pharmaco-poeia remains to be further improved;and the manufacturers should pay attention to the process of production and quality of tradi-tional Chinese medicinal materials of the preparation.

Objective This study aimed to assess the effects of active and passive smoking on chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods Seven hundred and five patients with T2DM were recruited in the study and were divided into three groups based on smoking status as active smokers, passive smokers and non-smokers.Twenty-four hour urinary albumin excretion (24hUAE) was measured, and estimate glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was calculated with age and blood creatinine levels. Results (1) The proportion of CKD in T2DM in the present study was 31.63% (223/705) with 28.6% (22/77),30.0% (15/50) and 29.6% (73/247) for non-smokers,passive smokers and active smokers in men,and 29.9% (40/134),35.9% (66/184) and 7/13 for non-smokers,passive smokers and active smokers in women, respectively. In comparison with non-smokers,a higher risk of CKD was found in both passive and active smokers (OR =1.07 and OR =1.05 in men ; OR =1.31 and OR =2.74 in women,respectively).(2) Compared with non-smokers,passive smokers had a significant higher risk for albuminuria in women (OR =2.02,P =0.016).(3) After adjusting for gender, age, duration of T2DM,BMI,systolic blood pressure, glycosylated hemoglobin A1C and lipids, there was a significant decrease in eGFR between active and never smokers (P =0.018)or passive smokers (P =0.000) in women. No differences could be found in eGFR between each smoking statues in men. Conclusions Smoking exposure alone confers a high risk for CKD in patients with T2DM.Our results highlight an importance in implementation of a smoke-free environment for patients with T2DM.

Objective To explore the characteristics and surgical managements of recurrent retinal detachment in silicone oil tamponade eyes. Methods The records of consecutive series of 134 patients (134 eyes) with recurrent retinal detachment in silicone oil tamponade eyes from January 2012 to December 2015 in our hospital were reviewed retrospectively, the vitrectomy combined with silicone oil replacement or scleral buckling procedure were performed. The follow-up time was 6 months, the surgical efficient was evaluated. Results 101 eyes underwent vitrectomy combined with silicone oil replacement.Retina was completely reattached in 79 eyes, and vitrectomy was reperformed in the left 22 eyes, the successful rate was 78.2% (79/101);The visual acuity improved in 16 eyes, unchanged in 56 eyes, decreased in 29 eyes; The intraocular pressure of 31 eyes increased more than 25 mmHg (1 kPa =7.5 mmHg).33 eyes underwent scleral buckling procedure.Retina was completely reattached in 23 eyes, and vitrectomy combined with silicone oil replacement was performed in the left l0 eyes, the successful rate was 69.7% (23/33);The visual acuity improved in 5 eyes, unchanged in 16 eyes, decreased in 12 eyes; The intraocular pressure of 14 eyes increased more than 25 mmHg.Conelusion For limited retinal detachment caused by inferior or peripheral holes, proliferative vitreoretinopathy in the A or B-class,the refractive medium does not affect the fundus examination, scleral buckling surgery is preferred; For the hole in the posterior pole or extensive retinal detachment caused by giant retinal holes, proliferation or retinal fixed fold formation, vitrectomy combined with silicone oil replacement is a better option.

Acute suppurative thyroiditis (AST) is a rare non-specific infectious disease of thyroid gland. The signs and symptoms of AST may mimic those of a variety of noninfectious inflammatory conditions or other anterior neck infectious diseases.AST is a progressive disease and is also potentially life threatening if devoid of prompt diagnosis and proper treatment.Herein,we report a case in order to call attention to the diagnosis and treatment of AST.

In this paper, four typical beamformers are explained according to the development process of ultrasound imaging systems. Comparison and analysis are made from several aspects, such as performance, integration, cost, and so on. Furthermore, characteristics of an analog and three digital beamformers are respectively summarized. At last, the development direction of beamformers is pointed out.

OBJECTIVETo study the correlation between arachidonic acid (AA) and acute red blood cells damage in rats, and to build a model with hidden blood loss in vivo, and to explore the pathological mechenism of hidden blood loss.
METHODSA total of 50 male adult Sprague-Dawley rats weighing (200 ± 20) g were randomly divided into five groups (n = 10): control group and four experimental groups. The rats in the experimental groups were given 0.5 ml different concentrations of AA dilu- ents, 5, 10, 20, 40 mmol/L respectively. The blood samples were collected from orbital venous at the beginning and 24, 48, 72 hours after administration. Then the changes of hemoglobin (Hb) ,red blood cell count (RBC), glutathione peroxidase (GSH- PX) activity, total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD) activity and hydrogen peroxide (H202) in the blood samples were tested.
RESULTSSignificant hidden blood loss occurred when the concentration was 10 mmol/L in the experimental group, with the RBC and Hb sharply reduced in blood samples. The Hb and RBC were reduced in all the experimental groups and control group at 24 hours after administration, while in the experimental groups they changed more obviously. The GSH-PX activity, T-SOD activity and H₂O₂were also significantly reduced in all groups, and the changes showed significant differences. The Hb and RBC were relatively stable in the control group and the experimental groups at 48 hours after administration; while GSH-PX activity, T-SOD activity and H₂O₂were all significantly decreased, and the changes in the experimental groups were more notable.
CONCLUSIONElevated levels of AA in the blood causes oxidative stress in the red blood cells, leading to the damage of red blood cells and hemoglobin, which is responsible for hidden blood loss.

Field avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) designated as JS/9 5/03, which was isolated from Jiangsu province of china, was cultivated in chicken emb ryo. It's single strain RNA was extracted from purified virus and worked as temp late of reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), a pair of pri mer designed according to megalign results of published IBV sequences in Genbank was used to amplify the neucleocapsid gene, the RT-PCR product was sequenced d irectly. Sequence analysis revealed that the sequence of JS/95/03 is most homolo gized with that of M41 strain.
