Objective To investigate the effects and relations of carvedilol on heart rate turbulence and secretion of sympathetic nerve in patients with myocardial infarction. Methods Sixty-six patients selected with acute myocardial infarction were randomized to enroll into experimental group ( n = 33 ) treated with earvedilol and control group( n = 33 ) treated with metoprolol for 12 months follow-up treatment. The concenrrarions of plasma norepinephrine(NE) and epinephrine (E) and 24 hour Holter monitoring were messured respectively before the treatment ,after 6 months and 12 months; and new cardiac events were supervised for all cases. Quantification of heart rate turbulenee(HRT) were carried out by computer analyzing two factors: turbulence onset(TO) and turbulence slope(TS) from the data of 24 hour Holter monitoring. NE,E,TO,TS and the occurrence rate of new cardiac events were compared between two groups and in different times of treatment. The correlation between TO,TS and NE,E was analysed. Results Before the treatment, there was no significant differences between two groups to the comparisons of NE,E,TO and TS(P>0.05). After treating 6 and 12 months, NE, E and TO of experimental group were all lower than control group's significantly, accordingly TS were all higher(P<0.05). By comparing 3 times( before, after 6 and 12 months of treatment), NE, E and TO of two groups dropped, meanwhile TS rose; experimental group showed significant changes( P<0.05 ), but control group showed no significant differences(P>0.05 ). The occurrence rate of new cardiac events of experimental group was lower than control group's significantly (P<0.05 ).There was significant correlation between NE, E and TO, TS (P<0.05 ). Conclusion Carvedilol treatment can block the secretion of sympathetic nerve after myocardial infarction and prevent the occurrences of new cardiac events significantly; the changes of the secretion of sympathetic nerve can play an important role for heart rate turbulence (HRT) ,the changes of HRT would be hopeful to predict new cardiac events alter myocardial infarction.

Objective To study the effects of carvedilol on the stability of plasma catecholamine in patients with post-acute myocardial infarction during consecutive periods. Methods Thirty-slx patients selected with acute myocardial infarction were randomized to experimental group treated with the nonselective beta-blocker earvedilol( n=18) and control group treated with the selective beta-blocker metoprolol(=18) for 12-months follow-up. In the two groups, the concentrations of plasma norepinephrine and epinephrine were measured before the treatment and after 2 months,4 months,6 months,8 mouths,10 months and 12 months and new cardiac events were supervised. Results After the treatment, in each point of periods, experimental group showed lower concentrations of plasma norepinephrine and epinephrine statistically than control group(P<0.05) ,and a stable dynamic change during 12 months of treat-ment( P>0.05 ) ;the occurrence rate of new cardiac events was lower significantly in experimental group than in con-trol group(P<0.05). Conclusion Carvedilol can decrease the spillover of sympathetic nerve, control more stably cardiac sympathetic nerve activity and then decrease more sharply the occurrence rate of new cardiac events in pa-tients with acute myocardial infarction than metoprolol.

AIM: The distribution of endothelin-1(ET-1) in uterine tube and its source were investigated in order to find out relation between endothelin-1 and function of uterine tube.METHODS: The distribution of endothelin-1 and the expression of ET-1 mRNA in the rabbits uterine tubes were studied using SABC immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization histochemistry with digoxigenin-labelled rat ET-1 cRNA probe. RESULTS: ET-1 granules with red color were seen in the uterine tube epithelial cells and they were located mainly above the cell nucleus and under the cell surface membrane. Less ET-1 granules were seen in the myometrium of uterine tube. ET-1 mRNA positive hybridization signals with deep blue were distributed in the uterine tube epithelial cells. These signals were strong and dense. They were distributed mainly above the nucleus and near the cell surface membrane. ET-1 mRNA positive hybridization signal was not seen in the myometrium of uterine tube.CONCLUSION: Our results indicate that epithelial cells of rabbit's uterine tube epithelial cells secrete ET-1.

OBJECTIVETo study the effect of aqueous extracts of Polygonum multiflorum (AEPM) on bile acid synthesis, metabolism and transfer-related molecules in rat liver and the hepatotoxicity-related mechanism of P. multiflorum.
METHODSprague-Dawley rats were orally administered with 30, 60 g x kg(-1) APEM once everyday for consecutively 28 days. At the end of the experiment, mRNA and protein expressions of hepatic MRP3, MRP2, BSEP, FXR and CYP7A1 were detected by Real-time PCR and Western blot
RESULTCompared with the normal group, the AEPM high dose group showed significant increases in mRNA expressions of hepatic MRP3 and BSEP of male rats (P < 0.05); AEPM high and low dose groups revealed a notable decrease in mRNA expressions of hepatic FXR (P < 0.05) and remarkable rises in mRNA expressions of hepatic MRP3, MRP2, BSEP, CYP7A1 among female rats (P < 0.05). According to the test results of western blot assay, AEPM high and low dose groups showed consistent changes in protein and mRNA expressions hepatic MRP3, MRP2, BSEP, FXR, CYP7A1.
CONCLUSIONThe 28 oral administration with AEPM in rats showed a certain effect on expressions of bile acid synthesis, metabolism and transfer-related proteins, as well as cholestatic or choleretic effects in the mRNA expression.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Sappan wood (SW) on the expression of perforin mRNA in myocardium of rats after allogeneic cardiac transplantation.
METHODSThe animal model of allogeneic (abdominal) cardiac transplantation was established by taking Wistar rat as provider and SD rat as receptor, perforin mRNA expression in the model's myocardium was detected by RT-PCR.
RESULTSSW could obviously reduce the perforin mRNA expression, it also could alleviate the pathological morphology and ultrastructural damage of myocardial cells.
CONCLUSIONSW has obvious effect in antagonizing immune rejection after transplantation, the mechanism of its immunosuppression could be through lowering the perforin mRNA expression.

Objective:
To evaluate the minimally invasive splayed incisions in the internal fixation with a conventional calcaneal plate for calcaneal fractures of sanders types Ⅱ and Ⅲ.
Methods:
This prospective study was conducted from May 1st, 2016 to December 1st, 2017 in the 40 patients with calcaneal fracture at Department of Orthopedics, Shanghai Pudong Hospital. Their ages ranged from 23 to 55 years (average, 39.5 years). According to the Sanders classification, 27 fractures were type Ⅱ and 13 type Ⅲ. They were all treated with a conventional calcaneal plate through minimally invasive splayed incisions. The Böhler and Gissane angles, the height, width and length of the affected calcaneus were compared between preoperation, 3 months after operation and the last follow-up; the clinical function of the affected feet was graded using the Maryland foot score; postoperative complications were observed.
Results:
The 40 patients were followed up for an average of 12.5 months (from 11 to 16 months). All the skin incisions healed well with no skin necrosis or wound infection. No injury to the sural nerve occurred. All the fractures healed after an average of 8 weeks (from 7 to 10 weeks). All the patients resumed their routine daily activities and returned to their former work post after an average time of 4.1 months (from 3 to 6 months). At pre-operation, 3 months after operation and the last follow-up, their Böhler angles were respectively 19.2°±6.3°, 30.5°±6.4° and 29.9°±6.5°; their Gissane angles 103.9°±14.8°, 119.3°±5.6° and 119.8°±6.3°; their calcaneal heights (32.5±3.5) mm, (36.8±1.5) mm and (36.5±1.8) mm; their calcaneal widths (36.8±3.4) mm, (33.1±3.8) mm and (33.0±3.2) mm; their lengths (61.4±4.5) mm, (65.5±6.9) mm and (65.5±9.4) mm. In all the patients, the Böhler and Gissane angles and the calcaneal heights and lengths increased significantly while the calcaneal widths decreased significantly at 3 months after operation and the last follow-up (

OBJECTIVETo detect the lymph nodes (LN) of rabbit thyroid by fluorescence imaging and to provide experimental evidence for its clinical application.
METHODSEach of 50 lateral thyroid lobes of 25 rabbits was injected with 0.02 ml of indocyanine green (ICG), and 0.02 ml methylene followed. ICG fluorescence was detected using photodynamic eye (PDE). The methylene staining in LN was also observed. The onset time of ICG staining in LN was measured.
RESULTSThe detection rate of fluorescence imaging and blue dye imaging were respectively 86.0% (43/50) and 66.0% (33/50), with a significant difference (P = 0.034), and the accuracy were respectively 85.5% (53/62) and 70.7% (41/58). The onset time (x(-) ± s) of ICG staining in LN was (118.3 ± 16.1) s.
CONCLUSIONSFluorescence imaging showed satisfied detection rate and accuracy. The detection rate of LN by fluorescence imaging was higher than that by blue dye imaging. Fluorescence imaging could be an alternative method for the detection of LN of thyroid in future clinical practice.
