Abstract: Schistosomiasis, an important zoonotic parasitic disease, is one of the six major tropical diseases identified by WHO, and also one of the most important parasitic diseases for prevention and control in China. After more than 70 years of efforts, the prevention and control of schistosomiasis in China has made great achievements, and the current epidemic of schistosomiasis in China has entered an extremely low epidemic state, but the distribution base of the only intermediate host of schistosomiasis, Oncomelania hupensis, is still large. For now, the techniques used to monitor schistosomiasis have shortcomings such as time-consuming, laborious and low sensitivity, which cannot meet the current needs of China. Environmental DNA (eDNA) refers to DNA that can be extracted from environmental samples (such as soil, water or air) without isolating any target organisms, which is a complex mixture of genomic DNA and its degradation products from different organisms in the same environment. eDNA technology can reflect the community or species composition information in the ecosystem through DNA extraction and detection of environmental samples. Compared with traditional biological monitoring methods, eDNA technology has the advantages of high efficiency, high sensitivity and environmental friendliness. eDNA has been successfully used for the specific detection of Schistosoma mansoni, Schistosoma haematobium and Schistosoma japonicum. This paper reviews the current detection methods of eDNA, the application and technical limitations of eDNA technology in schistosomiasis monitoring, aiming to provide scientific reference for research in the field of schistosomiasis surveillance.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effects of low-dose exogenous estrogen nonylphenol (NP) on the proliferation of human prostate cancer cell lines DU-145 and the expression of the membrane estrogen receptor GPR30 in the DU-145 cells.

METHODSWe exposed DU-145 cells to different concentrations of NP for 24 hours, followed by measurement of the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of the cells by cell proliferation assay and determination of the concentration of exposure to low-dose NP. We also observed the expressions of 3 estrogen receptors (ER), including ER-alpha, ER-beta and membrane estrogen receptor GPR30, in the DU-145 cells exposed to low-dose NP by RT-PCR.

RESULTSCell proliferation assay showed that within a certain range of doses, NP inhibited the proliferation of the DU-145 cells with an IC50 of 46 micromol/L, a much lower dose of NP than IC50, 0.01, 0.1.1 micromol/l NP, that can promote the proliferation of DU-145 cells. The results of RT-PCR indicated that the expressions of the three ERs in the DU-145 cells were similar to those in prostate epithelial cells, and that low-dose NP promoted the expression of GPR30.

CONCLUSIONMembrane estrogen receptor GPR30 may play a role in low-dose NP promoting the proliferation of DU-145 cells.

Objective To analyze the clinical and laboratory characteristics of the ischemic stroke in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF), and to provide evidence for the prevention of ischemic stroke. Methods A total of 198 patients with ischemic stroke were chosen and divided into two groups:with AF (71 patients)/and without AF (127 patients) groups. Clinical data and biochemical markers were collected and compared in two groups. CHADS2 and CHA2DS2-VASc score systems were used to determine the risk levels in patients with AF. Finally, related risk factors of ischemic stroke with AF were determined and analyzed. Results The values of age, length of hospital stay, the hypertention history, heart rate and plasma homocysteine (Hcy) were significantly higher in the with-AF group than those in the without-AF group ( P <0.05). The levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-C) were sig?nificantly lower in the with-AF group than those of the without-AF group (P<0.05). CHA2DS2-VASc scores reached to the moderate-to-high risk level in the with-AF group. Multiple-factor logistic regression analysis showed that age and heart rate were the independent risk factors of the ischemic stroke in patients with non-valvular AF. ROC analysis indicated that age (AUC=0.761, cut-off point=72.50 years old) and heart rate (AUC=0.612, cut-off point=76.50 bit/min) had predictive and di?agnostic value for the ischemic stroke in patients with non-valvular AF. The age of these patients had the best sensitivity (70.4%) and specifity (71.1%), and the cut-off point of which was 72.50 years old. Conclusion The characteristics of isch?emic stroke in patients with non-valvular AF includes older age, faster heart rate, higher CHA2DS2-VASc scores and higher Hcy level.

Objective To investigate the pharmaeokinetics of levofloxacin in rat's pancreatic tissue. Methods Pancreatic tissue and blood were sampled in vivo by microdialysis simultaneously. The concentrations of levofloxacin in beth blood and tissues were measured by high performance liquid chromatography. All date were analyzed by WinNonlin software. Results The maximum concentration of free levofloxacin in blood and pancreatic tissue were (65.23 ± 12.9) μg/ml at 10min and (30.56±3.22) μg/ml at 20 min, respectively, then beth continuously decreased. Concentration of free levofloxacin in pancreatic tissue was higher than that in blood from 20min to 100min, then returned to similar level. The area under the concentration curve(AUC)of unbound levofloxacin was(2465.11±258.56)min·μg~(-1)·ml~(-1) in pancreas,and (2914.38±205.73)min·μg~(-1)·ml~(-1) in blood.Conclusions Microdialysis with reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography established in this essay could be used to determine the pharmacokinetics of levofloxacin objectively. High concentration of levofloxacin in pancreatic tissue and blood was observed.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical effect and safety of chiropractic in treating cervicogenic sudden hearing loss.

METHODSFrom January 2011 to October 2013, 90 patients with cervicogenic sudden hearing loss were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to the random number table produced by SPSS 19.0 software. In the treatment group, there were 17 males and 28 females, aged from 31 to 62 years old with an average of (47.57±9.43) years; course of disease was from 1 to 3 days with an average of (1.43±0.68) days; pure-tone audiometry score was from 46.5 to 77.8 dB with the mean of (61.20±9.83) dB; Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire (NPQ) score was from 17 to 31 scores with an average of (23.46±7.18) scores. In the control group, there were 15 males and 30 females, aged from 28 to 64 years old with an average of (45.77±6.99) years; course of disease was from 1 to 3 days with an average of (1.50±0.73) days; pure-tone audiometry score was from 48.1 to 75.0 dB with the mean of (63.91±8.05) dB; Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire (NPQ) score was from 20 to 29 scores with an average of (25.61±10.43) scores. The patients of control group were treated with dexamethasone intravenous drip of 10 mg, 3 days later, decreased to 5 mg, 3 days again. And with the methycobal intravenous drip of 500 μg, treatment continued for 10 days. The patients of treatment group were treated with chiropractic additionally except for the therapeutic methods of control group. Chiropractic included local muscle loosening, attacking point, bilateral pulling atlanto-axial joint, and continuous treatment for 10 days. The pure-tone audiometry score and NPQ score were compared between two groups after treatment.

RESULTSAfter the treatment, pure-tone audiometry score and NPQ score in treatment group improved to (40.23± 8.14) dB and (12.70±8.29) scores respectively, which were obviously better than that of control group's (37.70±10.61) dB and (21.24±11.13) scores (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONCompared with routine method for cervicogenic sudden hearing loss, additional chiropractic can improve hearing and relieve neck pain effectively.

Objective To evaluate the influence of self-etch adhesive,total-etch adhesive and glass ionomer cement on the marginal microleakage of class II restorations. Methods Thirty human premolars were randomly divided into 3 groups(n=10),and cuboid class II cavities(4.0 mm?3.5 mm?2.5 mm) were prepared.Restoration was performed using self-etch adhesive+nano-resin(self-etch group),total-etch adhesive + nano-resin(total-etch group) or glass ionomer cement(glass ionomer group).Half of each group underwent 200 thermocyclings and the other half underwent 500 thermocyclings.The specimens were immersed in 0.5% basic fuchsin for staining.Each tooth was then evaluated the microleakage at the axial wall and the gingival wall section by section under a stereomicroscope.The data were statistically analyzed. Objective To investigate the internal quality control ( IQC ) on clinical chemistry , clinical immunology and clinical hematology in mutual recognition laboratories in medical institutions in Beijing.Methods By means of questionnaire survey and on -site investigation, fresh frozen serum and whole blood samples with assigned values by reference method were measured to investigate the status of IQC on clinical chemistry , clinical immunology and clinical hematology in 142 mutual recognition laboratories in medical institutions of Beijing,and results were analyzed.Results 142 copies of questionnaireson clinical chemistry, clinical immunology and clinical hematology were send out and 120, 97, and 101 laboratories returned the questionnaires respectively .The information feedback rate was 84.5%, 68.3% and 71.1%respectively .All the questionnaires were effective .Questionnaires survey results showed that more than 50%laboratories set up quality control goals and the most of the goals were probability for error detection ( Ped) 95%, probability for false rejection(Pfr)5%;About 70% laboratories usecd the same quality control plan for different tests ;The most frequently used quality control rules are 12s/13s/22s.On-site investigation showed that ,take the results of clinical chemistry for example , based on the desirable biological variation and WS/T 403 -2012 , most of the tests can't meet the quality control goalsunder the existing quality controlcondition.Conclusion Clinical laboratories should consider their actual situations , assess their own qualitylevels that they can reach , set reasonable quality standards for themselves , and make appropriateindividualized quality control plan.
